Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2011;17(3):253-254
Patients replanted severed finger generally have negative emotion after operation. Negative mood could induce vascular crisis and reduce survival of replanting finger. This paper reviewed the studies on negative emotion and psychological intervention in patients after digit replantation in various stages post-operation, and prospected the future.

Repaglinide is one of the most commonly used oral antidiabetic drugs. It can lower postprandial plasma glucose by means of initiating early-phase insulin release through closing the ATP-dependent potassium channels. Phamacogenomics is a branch of genetics which deals with the genetic variability in individual responses to drugs and drug metabolism. The progress of phamacogenomic study on repaglinide is summarized in this article.

MRI scanning is an important technique to evaluate the olfactory system, special scanning parameters could reveal the fine structures of the olfactory pathway. Olfactory cleft, olfactory bulb/tract, olfactory sulcus and olfactory center are the main targets of the scanning. Chronic rhino-sinusitis, head trauma, congenital dysplasia and neural degenerative diseases are the primary causes of the olfactory dysfunction and have particular imaging presentations respectively. Besides indicating the olfactory pathway lesions, MRI could also present the etiology and the prognosis of the olfactory disorder.

Objective To investigate the effects of tissue inhibitor-3 of matrix metalloproteinases(TIMP-3)Gene-transfected vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs)transplantation on heart function after acute myocardial infarction(AMI)in rats and to explore the potential mechanisms. Methods Wistar rats were produced AMI models by ligating the descending left coronary artery.Rats were survived and divided into 3 groups randomly(n=18):0.5mlDMEM containing 1?106 TIMP-3 gene-transfected VSMCs(group A),1?106 VSMCs(group B)or 0.5 ml DMEM without cell(group C)were injected into the ischemic myocardium immediately.Ischemic myocardium samples were harvested at 3 day after operation. The heart function was observed through the tissue functional examination. The activity of TIMP-3 gene-transfected VSMCs were measured by immunohistochemical method.mRNA of TIMP-3 and matrix metalloproteinase 9(MMP-9)were determined by RT-PCR.Results VSMCs were cultivated and had a high purity(98%).TIMP-3 gene was transfected into VSMCs successfully.Three day after operation in group A the average percentage of LVIDd、LVIDs、EDV and ESV were significantly higher than group normal(P

West China Journal of Stomatology 2009;27(3):268-275
OBJECTIVETo compare the effect of three kinds of extraction model on high angle bimaxillary protrusion patients.
METHODSA total of 30 patients with Class I malocclusion and bimaxillary protrusion, aged 14-25 years old, were selected and divided into three groups. Four first premolars were extracted in the first group. The two maxillary first premolars and two mandibular first molars were extracted in the second group. The two maxillary first premolars and two mandibular first molars were extracted in the third group, and two additional micro-implants used as orthodontic anchorage in maxilla. Three groups were all treated with MBT appliance. Cephalometric analysis were carried out before and after treatment, and the results were analyzed with statistics.
RESULTS1) About the hard tissues, compared with the first group, there were statistically significant differences of N-Me, SGo/NMe, ANS-Me, FH/MP, SN/MP, and ODI in the second and the third group after treatment (P<0.01). 2) About the soft tissues, the teeth and the alveolar bone, compared with the first group, there were statistically significant differences of Pg-Pos, Li-SnPos, Si-LiPos, LL-E, L1-NB, L1/NB, U1/L1, L7-MP in the second and the third group after treatment (P<0.01). 3) All patients received consummate orthodontic treatment and obtained fine occlusion. Facial profiles were improved significantly after orthodontic treatment.
CONCLUSION1) After orthodontic treatment with mandibular first molars extraction, FH/MP, SN/MP, N-Me, ANS-Me, L1-NB and L1/NB decreased respectively, and soft tissue profiles were improved significantly. 2) Additional micro-implant used as orthodontic anchorage in maxilla significantly contributed to the maxillary incisor retraction and subsequent soft tissue change. 3) The first molars extraction and additional micro-implant used as orthodontic anchorage are efficient in improving the facial profiles for high angle bimaxillary protrusion patients.
