Objective To observe the effects on rabbit corneas and retinas after single intravitreal injection of voriconazole at different doses.Methods According to the randomization table,25 healthy rabbits were randomly divided into control group,and voriconazole 50,100,200,and 400 μg groups.Therefore,there were 5 rabbits in each group.The eyes of control group received intravitreal injection of 0.1 ml balanced saline solution,and those treatment groups received 0.1 ml voriconazole injection of corresponding dose.Before the injection and 1,7,and 14 days after the injection,endothelial cell counts and corneal thicknesses were measured;full-field electroretinogram were performed and b-wave amplitudes in maximal combined reaction (Max-R) were recorded.On 14 days after the injection,histologic structures were observed by light microscope and transmission electron microscope.Results There was no significant difference in endothelial cell counts (F=0.320,0.291,0.467,0.649) and corneal thicknesses (F=0.214,0.284,0.360,0.225) with those of control group at any time points (P＞0.05).Before and 1 day after the injection,b-wave amplitudes of each voriconazole group had no significant difference compared with those of control group (F=0.220,0.106;P＞0.05).On 7 days after the injection,b-wave amplitudes decreased significantly at doses of 200 μg and 400 μg (P＜0.05).On 14 days after the injection,there was no significant difference between the the amplitude of 200 μg group and that of control group (P＞ 0.05).However,the amplitude of the 400 μg group decreased continuously and there was still significant difference (P＜0.05).Light microscopy did not reveal any corneal abnormality in both control group and voriconazole groups.The retinas were normal except that of the 400 μg group,which had a thinner and degenerated inner nuclear layer and disordered photoreceptor layer.Under transmission electron microscope,there were no ultrastructure damages of corneas in both control group and voriconazole groups,either.The rabbit retinas of the 50 μg and 200 μg group have normal inner nuclear layer and photoreceptor layer,but degrees of changes in both layers were observed in the eyes of 200 μg and 400 μg group.Conclusions There is no obvious effects on rabbit corneas and retinas after single intravitreal injection of voriconazole at he dose less than or equal 100 μg.There are no obvious effects on rabbit corneas at the dose of 200 μg and 400 μg,while there are damages to the retinas in both functions and histological structures.

Objective:To investigate the expression and function of CD226 on NK s ubsets and its coexpression with other activation receptor and inhibition recept or on NK cells. Methods:The expression of CD226 on CD56 bright and CD56 dim NK subsets and coe xpress ion with CD16 and NKG2A in PBMC and MLC in the presence or absence of IL-2 or IL-15 were detected by double fluorescent staining and flow cytometry analysis. The level of IFN-? in the supernatants of PBMC culture and MLC treated with o r without IL-2 or IL-15 were evaluated by ELISA. 51Cr release assay w as employed to measure the specific lysis of NK cells killing target K562 cells. Results:CD226 was mainly expressed on CD56 dim NK subsets in PBMC. When s imulated by IL-2, CD226 expression was shifted to CD56 bright NK subsets, while IL-15 increased the subpopulation of NKG2A+CD226+double positive cell s. In MLC-generated NK cells, CD226 was mainly expressed on CD56 dim NK su bsets, and also shifted to CD56 bright NK subsets in the addition of IL-15 . Furt hermore, the percentage of CD16+CD226+和NKG2A+CD226+ subsets were increa sed when stimulated by IL-2 or IL-15. There was great increase in IFN-? lev el in the supernatants of PBMC culture in the presence of IL-2 or IL-15, but no difference in the supernatants of MLC treated with or without two cytokine s. Moreover, the cytotoxicity of NK cells in PBMC and MLC were greatly enhanced by IL-2 or IL-15. Conclusion:CD226 is mainly expressed on CD56 bright NK subsets in IL-2 or IL-1 5 activated NK cells, and is coexpressed with CD16 and NKG2A preferentiatly, whi ch maybe involve in the modulation of cytotoxicity of NK cells based on the balance of coexpressed activation and inhibition receptors. Nutrient imbalances may cause many diseases such as gastrointestinal diseases,cardiovascular diseases,diabetes,obesity,and cancer.In this environment,health products have emerged.At present,there are a wide variety of health care products at home and abroad,which are broadly divided into three categories:traditional vitamins,emerging nutrient products,and extracts of natural plant active ingredients.In the early 1970s,the sales of health products in the United States had reached 170 million dollars.At present,it has nearly 100 billion dollars,which is almost 1/3 of the total food sales, people's demand for health products is increasing rapidly. In recent years, Chinese medicine health products become more popular in western,in fact, Chinese medicine health products have a long history of application in China and have a good reputation in the folk. Obviously, Chinese medicine health products have great potential for development.So this article mainly compared the de-velopment and state of health products between China and west countries.Based on the development of health products in western countries, this article analyzes the development trend and prospects for the development of Chinese medicine health products. It is roughly divided into three parts. The first part introduces the development reasons and history of western health products development.The sec-ond part introduces the history of Chinese health products and the current situation of Chinese medi-cine health products. The third part guesses the development trend of Chinese medicine health prod-ucts and provides some development ideas. The purpose of this airticle is to provide reference and ideas for the future research and development of traditional Chinese medicine health products.

Objective to investigate the feasibility and outcomes of different surgical treatments for adrenal metastasis after previous radical ne-phrectomy for patients with renal cell carcinoma. Methods A total of 18 adrenal solitary metastasis of renal cell carcinoma were identified from da-tabase of two institutions between 2003 and 2013. Clinical and pathologic data were collected and analyzed. Results Of 9 patients who had ipsilater-al metastasis of the renal tumor,the estimated blood loss were obviously fewer in the transperitoneal LA group. Of 9 cases who had contralateral me-tastasis of the renal tumor,the fasting time[(1.4±0.8)h vs(4.0±1.4)h,P = 0.036]and length of hospital stay[(4.5±1.2)d vs(7.0±4.5)d,P =0.041]were obviously fewer in the retroperitoneal LA group. the averages of the fasting time and length of hospital stay in the retroperitoneal LA group were obviously smaller than in the transperitoneal LA group. Conclusion LA for treatment of renal cell carcinoma metastasis is technically feasible in selected patients. transperitoneal and retroperitoneal LA can be respectively recommended as an appropriate approach for isolated adrenal metastases of ipsilateral and contralateral renal cell carcinoma after nephrectomy.

Sixty-six volunteers,including 24 subjects with normal glucose tolerance(NGT),18 patients with impaired glucose regulation (IGR),and 24 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus ( T2DM ),underwent a test of continuous glucose monitoring.The data of continuous glucose monitoring were embedded into two-dimension Euclid space by Takens' embedding theory.Glycemic phase diagram was drawn by MATLAB.The area and center distance of glycemic phase diagram were calculated by computer.The distinction of glycemic variability and average glycemic level among different glucose regulation populations were analyzed.The results showed that there existed significant differences in body mass index,systolic blood pressure,diastolic blood pressure,low density lipoprotein-cholesterol,high density lipoprotein-cholesterol,triglyceride,total cholesterol,creatinine,and alanine aminotransferase among three groups( all P＜0.05 ).The levels of HbAIC,fasting plasma glucose( FPG ),postprandial 2 h plasma glucse (2hPG),area and center distance of glycemic phase diagram in T2DM group were higher than those in NGT and IGR groups( P＜0.01 ),and the levels of FPG,2hPG,area and center distance of glycemic phase diagram in IGR group were higher than those in NGT group( P＜0.01 ).The levels of FPG and 2hPG were correlated with area and center distance of glycemic phase diagram ( all P＜0.01 ).These results suggest that measuring the area and center distance of glycemic phase diagram is a good method to assess glycemic variability and average glycemic level during continuous glucose monitoring.

OBJECTIVETo observe MET-associated alteration during the trans-differentiation from MSCs to neuron-like cells, and to explore the possible molecular mechanism.

METHODSBone marrow MSCs were isolated from rat femur and purified in continuous cell culture. After induced differentiation to neuron-like cells by the combination of butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), cells were tested by comparative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for the relative expression of MET biomarkers and transcription factors, and for cell cycle by flow cytometry. Meanwhile, target genes of Wnt/β-catenin pathway were also analyzed by comparative PCR to determine the possible involvement.

RESULTSIn MSC-induced neuron-like cells, MET-associated transcription factors such as Snail, Slug, ZEB1, ZEB2, and Twist were significantly attenuated in expression level. The Mesenchymal marker Vimentin expression level was increased. Membrane protein E-cad was slightly down-regulated, while N-cad level was marginally elevated. Percentage of proliferating cells (S phase in cell cycle) markedly shrank from 40.42% for MSCs to 6.76% for MSC-derived neuron. Additionally, Wnt/β-catenin target genes β-catenin and c-myc were decreasingly expressed.

CONCLUSIONChemically induced trans-differentiation from MSC to neuron caused similar MET-featured alteration in gene expression and proliferation to known MET, which might be underlied by deactivation of Wnt/β-catenin pathway.

Objective To determine the incidence of breast cancer?related lymphedema ( BCRL) in China and to analyze the associated risk factors. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data and the incidence of BCRL in 281 patients who were newly diagnosed with breast cancer and received surgery. The incidence of BCRL was evaluated using arm circumference measurement and Norman questionnaire. The risk factors for lymphedema were analyzed using chi?square test and logistic regression model. Results In all patients,the incidence rates of BCRL determined by arm circumference measurement and Norman questionnaire were 31?7% and 27?0%, respectively. The multivariate analysis showed that postoperative radiotherapy,a preoperative body mass index no less than 24 kg/m2 ,a large axillary lymph node dissection area,and a large number of positive axillary lymph nodes significantly increased the risk of BCRL (HR=2?87,P=0?042;HR=2?54,P=0?011;HR=1?97,P=0?037;HR=1?06,P=0?023). Moreover, patients with breast cancer and hypertension had 1?74?fold higher risk of BCRL than those with normal blood pressure. Conclusions The incidence of BCRL is still very high. However,most of patients only have mild edema. Postoperative radiotherapy, a large axillary lymph node dissection area, a large number of positive axillary lymph nodes,a high preoperative body mass index,and hypertension are risk factors for BCRL.
