Objective To investigate the association between single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the IL2RA-RBM17 region and vitiligo in the Chinese Mongolian population.Methods Five milliliters of venous blood samples were collected from 425 patients with vitiligo (patient group) and 503 healthy human controls (control group) of Mongolian nationality after informed consent,and genomic DNA was extracted with the AxyPrep DNA extraction kit (AP-MX-BL-GDNA-25).Nine SNPs were selected across the IL2RA-RBM17 region,including rs706779,rs3134883,rs7090530,rs12251307,rs4750005,rs3920615,rs4747887,rs4750012 and rs7099083.Ligase detection reaction (LDR) was performed for SNP genotyping.With the PLINK 1.07 and SPSS 11.0 packages,statistical analysis was carried out by the chi-square test for comparisons of allele and genotype frequencies between the patient group and control group.Linkage disequilibrium analysis was performed for 5 SNPs by calculating the r2 and D' values.Haplotype analysis of 5 related SNPs was conducted to investigate differences in haplotype frequencies between the patient group and control group.Results There were significant differences in allele frequencies of 5 SNPs,including rs4750005,rs3920615,rs4747887,rs4750012 and rs7099083,between the patient group and control group (all P ＜ 0.05).Under a dominant mode of inheritance,a significant decrease was observed in the frequencies of GG/GC genotypes of rs3920615,CT/CC genotypes of rs4747887,CT/CC genotypes of rs4750005,TC/TT genotypes of rs4750012 and AG/AA genotypes of rs7099083 in the patient group compared with the control group (all P ＜ 0.005 6).Moderate to strong linkage disequilibrium was observed between the 5 SNPs (D' =0.424-1,r2=0.137-0.985).Haplotype analysis showed that the frequency of a haplotype (H2:CGCTA) was significantly lower in the patient group than in the control group,and the difference reached statistical significance after Bonferroni adjustment (P=0.001 6,OR =0.674).Conclusion SNPs in the IL2RA-RBM17 region are associated with vitiligo in the Chinese Mongolian population.

Objective:This paper aims to explore the relationship between the residents’ health and economic de-velopment to provide a scientific basis which will promote the coordinated economy and health development. Methods:Adopting the entropy method, we could calculate the comprehensive health evaluation index. In combining the co-inte-gration and error correction models, we could analyze the long-term and short-term relationships between our country residents’ level of health since 2000 and the national macro-economic development information. The Granger causality test served as a good method used in testing the casual relationships. Results: The health and economic development has a co-integration relationship which is -0. 6216 in the short-term correction. The economic development extent is the Granger cause of residents’ health status. Conclusion:There is not only a long-term equilibrium, but also a short-term relationship between the residents’ health and economic development in our country. The economic growth pro-motes residents’ health status while the promotion of residents’ health to economic growth is not obvious.

Objective To investigate the clinical efficiency of Isophane Protamine Biosynthetic Human Insulin Injection (pre‐mixed 30R)(Novolin 30R) combined with insulin pump therapy in patients with diabetes mellitus complicated with pulmonary in‐fection ,and to analyze the detection indexes .Methods From Jan .2010 to Feb .2013 ,90 cases of patients with diabetes mellitus com‐plicated with pulmonary infection were selected and divided into the observation group and control group .The control group re‐ceived Novolin 30R treatment and conventional treatment ,the observation group were given insulin pump therapy based on the treatment of control group .The clinical efficiency and detection indexes were compared and analyzed .Results The cure rate and to‐tal effective rate were 51 .11% and 82 .22% respectively in the control group ,and were 84 .44% and 100 .00% in the observation group respectively .There were significant differences of both cure rate and total effective rate between the two groups (P<0 .05) . There were statistically significant differences of hospitalization time ,the time for reaching target of glucose ,insulin dose ,recovery time of body temperature ,hospital costs ,incidence rate of complications ,serum levels of sodium ,potassium and urea nitrogen ,os‐molality and PH value between the two groups(P<0 .05) .Conclusion The combination of Novolin 30R and insulin pump therapy could provide satisfactory clinical efficiency in patients with diabetes mellitus complicated with pulmonary infection .

Objective To explore the effect of mefformin on glucose metabolism of rat myoblast with high fat environment.Methods The skeletal muscles of suckling Wister rats were subjected to primary culture.The myoblasts of passage 5 were divided into 5 groups:The control group was cultured in DMEM with 0.5％ BSA for 12 h.The high-fat group was exposed to 0.3 mmol/L palmitic acid for 12 h.On the basis of high-fat treatment,three intervention groups were added with 2.5,5.0 and 7.5 μg/ml metformin,respectively,for additional 24 h.Isotope tracer method was conducted to show the influence on 2-dexoy-D-[3H]glucose uptake of rat myoblast.Results With the increasing concentration of mefformin,[3H]-G uptake elevated [ ( 1.83 ± 0.34) 10-2pmd/( min · g) vs (2.33 ± 0.47 ) 10-2 pmd/( min · g),P ＜ 0.05 ],and the group of 7.5 μg/ml metformin uptakes the most.Conclusions Metformin can upregulate the glucose-uptake in rat myoblasts under the environment of high fat,and it shows a dose-dependent relationship.

The influence of Cibotium barometz (L.) J. Sm. and its processed samples on thrombin-induced platelet aggregation in rabbits was studied. The results showed that all differently processed sam-ples tested could inhibit platelet aggregation, with activities in the decreasing order of Rhizoma Cibotiiroasted in stirring sand＞steamed after being salted＞steamed after steeped in wine＞simply steamed＞theunprocessed crude Rhizoma Cibotii.

Objective To study the laws of heating and thermal field of heating seed arrays in different magnetic field intensity during the magnetic induction hyperthermia.Methods 3.0 cm×3.0 cm ×2.6 cm and 5.0 cm ×5.0 cm×2.6 cm of magnetic heating seed was implanted respectively in 10.0 cm×10.0 cm ×10.0 cm pure agar phantom.The regions was divided into one file per 5 Gs in the range of 60-120 Gs magnetic induction.The temperature measurement experiments were implemented in each sub-file.Muscle-agar mixture model was used in the magnetic induction 60 Gs and 90 Gs to implement GTV-heating simulation experiments and thermal field analysis.Results The pure agar phantom heating experiments show that the heating is of basically the same rule when seeds with various diameters were implanted in the magnetic thermal array.Along with the increase of magnetic induction,the final temperature of the focal point heated for 40 min increased accordingly.and time required for heating to 50℃ was shortened correspondingly.The thermal field analysis of muscle-a mixture agar mixture model showed that the implantation density of magnetic heating seed is closely associated with the temperature of the target area and thermal field in difierent magnetic field intcnsity.Conclusions The magnetic induction has a significant impact on heating of the seeds,as the magnetic modium,and this impact is trending downwards when the magnetic field reaches a certain intensity.Within a certain size,adequate magnetic heating seed density is necessary to achieve the desired temperature required for the temperature value.The heating seeds should be put in a certain order to heat the venue evenly,not in a simply order,but in line with the principle of outer dense and inner sparse.

Objective To investigate the effects of Livin antisense oligonucleotide (ASODN) on the proliferation and apoptosis of human leukemia (K562) cells. Methods Specific phosphorothioate ASODN and missense oligonucleotide (MSODN) target Livin mRNA were synthesized and transfected into K562 cells following cationic liposome. The proliferation inhibition of K562 cells was assessed by MTT. The apoptosis rate of each group was detected by Annexin V-FITC. The expression of Livin mRNA was detected by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Results ASODN at a final concentration of 600 nmol/Lcould inhibit the K562 cells proliferation (IR) was (52.99t2.67) % and the expressions of Livin mRNA (ODR)was (59.75±3.24) %, the apoptosis rate was apparently increased [(36.89±1.08) %] (P ＜0.01); but the difference between Lip-MSODN group, Lip control group and cell control group was not statistically significant (P ＞0.05).Conclusion Livin ASODN may decrease Livin gene expression, suppress K562 cells proliferation effectively, and induce significant apoptosis of K562 cells.

Objective To explore gene polymorphism of the C/T genotype of rs1143627 in the promoter of IL-1β gene in male population living in the coastal area of Shandong, and thus to investigate the relationship between the gene polymorphism of IL-1β and gout. Methods A total of 208 gout patients and 210 healthy controls were enrolled. The possible association between the polymorphism of IL-1 β -3 1C/T and gout in Chinese were investigated and genotype frequencies and allelic frequencies was calculated by polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) method. Hardy-Weinberg was used to verify the representativeness of the sample. Comparisons between the groups were performed with χ2 test and t-test. Results The frequencies of CC, CT, and TT genotypes were 32.7%, 43.3% and 24.0%,respectively among gout patients, while they were 31.9%,46.2% and 21.9%, respectively among the controls.There was no statistically difference in IL-1β -31C/T genotype frequencies between gout patients and controls (χ2=0.427, P>0.05). The allele frequencies of C and T in gout cases were different from those in the controls (54.3%, 55.0%; 45.7%, 45.0%; χ2=0.038, P>0.05). Moreover, no association between IL- I β-31 C/T genotypes and risk factors for gout were observed in gout cases by χ2 test. Conclusion Results of the present study suggest that the C/T genotype of rs1143627 in the promoter of IL-1β gene is not associated with gout in male population living in the coastal area of Shandong.

Objective To investigate skin manifestations and comorbidities of chronic arsenicosis due to conta?minated drinking water, and to explore their possible risk factors. Methods Data about demographic characteristics, skin manifestations and comorbidities were collected from 95 patients with chronic arsenicosis due to contaminated drinking water in Inner Mongolia, and retrospectively analyzed. A logistic regression model was established to analyze associations of skin manifestations and comorbidities with patients′ gender, age, age at onset of drinking of arsenic?contaminated water, arsenic concentrations in water and duration of arsenic exposure. Results Among the 95 patients, 77 had hyperpigmentation, 75 hypopigmentation, 93 palmoplantar keratoderma, 27 skin cancer, and 8 multiple skin cancer. Five patients were complicated by tuberculosis, 15 by hypertension, 2 by rheumatoid arthritis, 4 by cerebral infarction, 7 by coronary heart diseases, 3 by internal malignancy, 6 by hepatic cirrhosis and 2 by anemia. Logistic regression analysis revealed a significant correlation between hyperpigmentation and arsenic concentrations in water(OR=0.32, 95%CI=0.10-0.98;ORadjusted=0.27, 95%CI=0.08-0.90), between occurrence of hepatic cirrhosis and arsenic concentrations in water (OR=24.67, 95%CI=2.69-226.57;ORadjusted=22.51, 95%CI=2.38-213.11), and between occurrence of coronary heart diseases and duration of arsenic exposure(OR=6.41, 95%CI=1.09-37.88;ORadjusted=8.55, 95%CI=1.21-60.41). Conclusions There is a high incidence of aberrant pigment metabolism, palmoplantar keratoderma and skin cancer in patients with chronic arsenicosis due to contaminated drinking water. Different arsenic concentrations in water and duration of arsenic exposure seem to have different influences on the human body.

Objective To observe the effects on rabbit corneas and retinas after single intravitreal injection of voriconazole at different doses.Methods According to the randomization table,25 healthy rabbits were randomly divided into control group,and voriconazole 50,100,200,and 400 μg groups.Therefore,there were 5 rabbits in each group.The eyes of control group received intravitreal injection of 0.1 ml balanced saline solution,and those treatment groups received 0.1 ml voriconazole injection of corresponding dose.Before the injection and 1,7,and 14 days after the injection,endothelial cell counts and corneal thicknesses were measured;full-field electroretinogram were performed and b-wave amplitudes in maximal combined reaction (Max-R) were recorded.On 14 days after the injection,histologic structures were observed by light microscope and transmission electron microscope.Results There was no significant difference in endothelial cell counts (F=0.320,0.291,0.467,0.649) and corneal thicknesses (F=0.214,0.284,0.360,0.225) with those of control group at any time points (P＞0.05).Before and 1 day after the injection,b-wave amplitudes of each voriconazole group had no significant difference compared with those of control group (F=0.220,0.106;P＞0.05).On 7 days after the injection,b-wave amplitudes decreased significantly at doses of 200 μg and 400 μg (P＜0.05).On 14 days after the injection,there was no significant difference between the the amplitude of 200 μg group and that of control group (P＞ 0.05).However,the amplitude of the 400 μg group decreased continuously and there was still significant difference (P＜0.05).Light microscopy did not reveal any corneal abnormality in both control group and voriconazole groups.The retinas were normal except that of the 400 μg group,which had a thinner and degenerated inner nuclear layer and disordered photoreceptor layer.Under transmission electron microscope,there were no ultrastructure damages of corneas in both control group and voriconazole groups,either.The rabbit retinas of the 50 μg and 200 μg group have normal inner nuclear layer and photoreceptor layer,but degrees of changes in both layers were observed in the eyes of 200 μg and 400 μg group.Conclusions There is no obvious effects on rabbit corneas and retinas after single intravitreal injection of voriconazole at he dose less than or equal 100 μg.There are no obvious effects on rabbit corneas at the dose of 200 μg and 400 μg,while there are damages to the retinas in both functions and histological structures.
