Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2017;23(1):14-18
Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture on hand dysfunction after stroke. Methods Forty hemiplegic patients after stroke were selected from a multi-center large-scale trail, belonged to rehabilitation group (n=20) and electroacupuncture group (n=20), who accepted routine rehabilitation and additional electroacupuncture, respectively, for six weeks. They were assessed with Brunnstrom Grade, Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA), Wolf Motor Function Test (WMFT) and modified Barthel index (MBI) before treatment, two, four and six weeks during treatment, and twelve weeks after treatment. Results There were differences between two groups in scores of FMA, WMFT and total time to complete WMFT twelve weeks after treatment (t>1.900, P<0.05). There was no difference between two groups in scores of MBI and Brunnstrom Grade (t=0.532, Z<1.79, P>0.05), but electroacupuncture group seemed to improve more. Conclusion Elec-troacupuncture may improve the muscle strength for patients in flaccid paralysis, and promote the recovery of hand function for patients af-ter stroke.

Results The TP masses were visualized in 36 cases in TVS group(36/40) as compared with 27 cases in TAS group (27/40) (? 2=7.364, P
5.Mechanism of M-current modulation by neural transmitters
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 1985;0(05):-
M channel, a voltage-dependent potassium channel, has been found in a variety of neurons. It is activated near the threshold of neuron action potential, producing a primary K~+ current, namely the M-current. The M-current can be modulated by many neurotransmitters and hormones, which can influence neuron excitability, conduction and neurotransmitter release. This review discusses the signal transduction pathway from G_~ q/11 activation to intracellular calcium, membrane phospholipid and phosphokinase, and explains the mechanism of M-current modulation by neurotransmitters.
6.Observations on the Treatment of 32 Cases of Insomnia by Manipulations of Digital-pressing Acupoints and Tuina along Meridians
Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2004;2(5):30-32
Five kinds of manipulations of plucking, circular rubbing, pecking, pinching and patting were performed on the channels of Governor Vessel and bilateral Bladder Meridian. According to syndrome differentiation, all the 32 cases were divided into 5 syndromes of the stagnated liver-qi causing fire syndrome, the phlegm-heat attacking upper parts syndrome, the hyperactivity of fire due to yindeficiency syndrome, the deficiency of both heart and spleen syndrome and the timidity due to insufficiency of qi and deficiency of blood of the heart syndrome and were then treated by different manipulations. After 2 courses of treatment, 25 cases were cured, 7 cases got marked effectiveness,no case failed and the effective rate was 100%.

10.The relationship between season/latitude and multiple sclerosis
Chinese Journal of Internal Medicine 2015;54(11):945-948
Objective To explore the impact of season and latitude on multiple sclerosis by study the onset/relapse season and latitude distribution in multiple sclerosis (MS) patients. Methods A total of 264 MS patients , with 88 males and 176 females, who were hospitalized in Beijing Tiantan Hospital from January 2002 to December 2012, were enrolled in the study and all the clinical data were retrospectively analyzed. The mean age was (33.9 ± 12.3) years old, with the disease duration of (6.3 ±4.5) years and 453 cases of relapse. The recurrence of MS was collected by four seasons, with March to May defined as spring, June to August as summer, September to November as autumn and December to February as winter.MS patients lived in Beijing (39.39° N-41.07° N) were chosen to test the correlation between the incidence/recurrence and monthly mean temperature, sunlight exposure intensity and duration. All the patients were divided into the high latitude group and the low latitude group, taken the latitude median (40.22° N) of Beijing area as the boundary.Gender composition, age of onset, disease duration and recurrence rate were compared between the two groups. Results Most of the onset/ relapse of MS were observed in winter (134 cases), while summer (97 cases) took the least. In the same latitude region (Beijing area), the onset/ relapse of MS was negatively correlated to the mean temperature and sunlight exposure intensity (r =-0.699, P =0.006;r =-0.623, P =0.015).Recurrence was higher in the high latitude group than in the low latitude group [68.7% (123/179) vs 63.0% (51/81), P =0.000], while no significant difference was found in gender composition, age of onset and disease duration between the two groups. Conclusion The onset/recurrence of MS has obvious seasonal characteristics. The onset/recurrence of MS is correlated with latitude, temperature and sunlight exposure intensity of the habitation of MS patients.Environmental factors are important cause of the onset/recurrence of MS, with sunshine exposure as the most key factor.
