OBJECTIVETo observe the effects of Epimedium total Flavonoids Phytosomes on preventing and treating bone-loss of the castrate osteoporosis rat model.
METHODThe osteoporosis model was established with 4-month-odl panther's rats, their ovaries on both sides castrated. Dual energy X-ray scanning was used to determine the bone density, and immunity and ELASA were used to assay concentration of estradiol and IL-6 in serum respectively, then determine their effect.
RESULTThe BMP and E2 of high dosage group nilestriol group and normal group are higher than those of model group (P < 0.01), while their content of IL-6 is apparently lower than that of model group(P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONThe osteoporosis model was established successfully and the using of EFP can improve the bone density, enhance E2 level and decrease the IL-6 concentration in serum.

Hemagglutinin and neuraminidase, two important glycoproteins on the surface of influenza virus, play a considerable role in the entry and release stage of the viral life cycle, respectively. With in-depth investigation of influenza virus glycoproteins and the continuous innovation of drug discovery strategies, a new generation of glycoproteins inhibitors have been continuously discovered. From the point of view of medicinal chemistry, this review summarizes the current advances in seeking small-molecule inhibitors targeting influenza virus glycoproteins, hoping to provide valuable guidance for future development of novel antiviral drugs.

With the increasing development of digital technologies, digital surgical templates have been widely used in stomatology. However, the accuracy of digital surgical templates is always a consideration for many researchers and dentists. This article analyzed the factors affecting the accuracy of digital surgical templates and found that errors arise from six factors, including the design and manufacture of the templates, implant guide support, implant systems and guide systems, implant length, bone density and the clinical experience of the operator; this literature review aims to reduce or eliminate human factors and improve accuracy, objectivity and security in implant placement.

A new aporphine alkaloid (1), together with five known analogues (2-6), has been isolated from the branch of Litsea greenmaniana by using various chromatographic techniques. Their structures were identified by spectroscopic data analysis ( MS, IR, 1D and 2D NMR) as 2,9-dihydroxy-1,10-dimethoxy-4,5-dihydro-7-oxoaporphine (1), laurotetanine (2), N-methyllaurotetanine (3), isodomesticine (4), isocorydine (5), and norisocorydine (6). Compound 1 was a new compound, and compounds 2-6 were obtained from this plant for the first time.

OBJECTIVETo explore in vitro expansion of CD34+CD59+ cells from patients with PNH, and compare the capabilities of survival, proliferation and expansion between CD34+CD59+ cells from patients with PNH and CD34+ cells from normal control.
METHODSCD34+CD59+ cells from patients with PNH and CD34+ cells from normal control were selected from the bone marrow mononuclear cells by means of two-step sorting method with immunomagnetic microbead-flow cytometry, then underwent in vitro expansion for two weeks and semi-solid culture in vitro before and after expansion.
RESULTS(1) CD34+CD59+ cells from patients with PNH can be expanded effectively in vitro, and the biggest expansion of CD34+CD59+ cells was about 23.49 fold on the 7th day. (2) There were some similar characteristics between CD34+CD59+ cells from patients with PNH and CD34+ cells from normal control, such as: the best combination of hematopoietic factors for in vitro expansion was SCF+ IL-3 + IL-6 + FL + Tpo + Epo, and the seventh day was the most suitable in course of 4-14 days for in vitro expansion, and after in vitro expansion, the cells remained CD59 positive and strong capability of performing colony-forming. (3) CD34+ cells from normal control had better proliferation, expansion and stronger potential to survive than CD34+CD59+ cells from patients with PNH.
CONCLUSIONS(1) In vitro expansion of CD34+CD59+ cells from patients with PNH can be performed. The present study showed the possibility of performing ABMT or APBSCT clinically for patients with PNH. (2) There were some similar characteristics between CD34+CD59+ cells from patients with PNH and CD34+ cells from normal control, but the latter had better proliferation, expansion and stronger potential to survive than the former. CD34+CD59+ cells from patients with PNH were not completely normal cells.

Influenza virus causes serious threat to human life and health. Due to the inherent high variability of influenza virus, clinically resistant mutant strains of currently approved anti-influenza virus drugs have emerged. Therefore, it is urgent to develop antiviral drugs with new targets or mechanisms of action. RNA-dependent RNA polymerase is directly responsible for viral RNA transcription and replication, and plays key roles in the viral life cycle, which is considered an important target of anti-influenza drug design. From the point of view of medicinal chemistry, this review summarizes current advances in diverse small-molecule inhibitors targeting influenza virus RNA-dependent RNA polymerase, hoping to provide valuable reference for development of novel antiviral drugs.
