Journal of Environment and Health 1989;0(06):-
Many researches have shown that atmosphere pollution and meteorological factors are related closely. The relations between the particle concentration in atmosphere and meteorological factors including wind speed, wind direction, air pressure, temperature, humidity, precipitation and atmosphere stability vary in different researches. Taking into consideration the complexity of meteorological factors and the components and concentration index of particles,it is more reasonable to do multi-factor analysis. But the results of multi-factor analysis also show obvious diversity and complexity due to different research objects, methods and measuring indexes. Therefore, different models for the prediction of particle concentration are needed for the factors such as area, time and meteorological conditions always change.

As an important indicator of total hip arthroplasty (THA) the rate and degree of offset reconstruction play an important role in improving the prognosis and life quality of patients. The reconstruction of femoral offset is closely related to reserved length of calcar femorale, the head and neck length of prosthesis, angle degree of neck shaft and whether lower limb is isometric. Reconstruction strategy includes making a meticulous and standard measurement before the surgery, predicting the reserved length of calcar femorale, selecting a prosthesis with approximate anatomical neck-shaft angle and reconstructing offset by adjusting the head and neck length of the prosthetic during the operation. The aim of this article was to introduce the research progress and influence of offset on hip function, prosthetic wear and postoperative complications such as pain, limp and unequal leg length, and to discuss the reconstruction strategy.

Journal of China Pharmaceutical University 2010;41(4):326-332
A series of andrographolide derivatives with the structure of 12-N-substituted-14-deoxyandrographolide were synthesized from the parent compound andrographolide.Their antitumor activities were preliminarily evaluated on various cancer cell lines and compound 4d stood out due to its potent growth inhibitory effect in comparison with andrographolide.Compound 4d also demonstrated significant antitumor effect on human hepatoma HepG2cells in vitro and on sarcoma 180 (S180) and hepatoma 22(H22)-bearing mice in vivo. Then, the apoptosis induced by compound 4d in HepG2cells was detected by Annexin V/PI double staining assay.Further mechanic study showed that the expression of p53 and Bax was significantly elevated and that of Bcl-2was downregulated in 4d-treated HepG2cells.Collectively,these data suggested that compound 4d had remarkable antitumor effect both in vitro and in vivo and could effectively induce apoptosis via a p53-dependent pathway in HepG2 cells, thus deserving further investigation.

Objective To investigate the status of fatigue and depression and their influencing factors in patients with acute coronary syndrome, and analyse the correlation of fatigue, depression and self-management behavior. Methods 113 patients were investigated by using Fatigue Symptom Inventory (FSI), Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), Coronary artery disease Self-management Scale (CSMS). Results The score of fatigue was (4.59±1.93)points, while depression scored (5.05±1.48)points and self-management behavior scored (57.29 ±8.29)points; the score of fatigue, depression of female patients were higher than that of male patients, which had statistical difference(t=2.535-5.894, P<0.05);Regression analysis showed that gender, time of illness, number of other chronic diseases were major factors affecting fatigue while gender and treatment method were major factors affecting depression; there were negative ralationships between self-management and fatigue, self-management and depression (r=-0.855-0.682). Conclusions Fatigue, depression are common in patients with acute coronary syndrome, and can affect their self-management behavior, and the female patients are more susceptible to fatigue and depression.

Objective To report the MRI findings of brain damage obsenrved in neonatal patients who suffered from isolated hypoglycemia and to explore the value of diffusion-weighted imaging(DWI) inearly detection of neonatal hypoglycemic brain iniun,. Methods Twelve neonates with isolated hypoglycemia(10 of the 12 were diagnosed to suffer from hypoglycemic encephalopathy)were enrolled in this study. They were first scanned at age from 3 days to 10 days with Tl WI,T,WI and DWI(b is 0 s/mm2,1000 s/mm2),and 4 of them were then scanned from 7 days to 10 days following the initial scan. All acquired MR images were retrospectively analysed. Results First series of DWl images showed distinct hyperintense signal in 11 cases in several areas including bi lateral occipital cortex(2 cases),right occipital cortex(1 case),left occipital cortex and subcortical white matter(1 case),biIateral occipital cortex and flubcortical white matter(2 cases),bilateral parieto-occipital cortex(2 cases),bilateral parieto-occipital cortex and subcortical white matter(2 cases),the splenium of corpus catlosum(4 cases),bilateral corona radiata(2 cases),left eaudate nucleus and globus pallidus(1 case),bilateral thalamus(1 case),bilaterally posterior limb of internal capsule(1 ease). In the initial T1 WI and T2,WI images, there were subtle hypointensity in the damaged cortical areas(3 cases),hyperintensity in the bilaterally affected occipital cortex(1 case)on T1 weighted images, and hyperintensity in the affected cortex and subcortieal white matter with poor differentiation on T2 weighted images. The followed-up MRI of 4 cases showed regional encephalomalaeia in the affected occipital lobes(4 cases),slightly hyperintensity on T2 weighted images in the damaged occipital cortex(2 cases),extensive demyelination(1 case).disappearance of hyperintensity of the splenium of corpus callosum(1 case),and persistent hyperintensity in the splenium of corpus callosum (1 case)on T2 weighted images. Conclusion The findings suggest that posterior parieto-occipital regions are most frequently injured in neonatal period due to severe hypoglycemia.DWI is a useful technique in the early detection and evaluation of hypoglycemic brain injury of neonates.

Objective:To examine the expression of CLC-3 in colorectal tissues and the effect of CLC-3 on the viability and invasion of colorectal cancer (CRC) SW480 and SW620 cells. Methods:The mRNA levels of CLC-3 in CRC cell lines were determined by RT-PCR. CLC-3 expression was inhibited by adding DIDS or NPPB to the CRC cells. Subsequently, cell viability and invasion were assessed by CCK-8 assay and Transwell assay, respectively. In addition, the effects of DIDS and NPPB on the Wnt orβ-catenin signaling pathways were de-termined by Western blot analysis. Results:The mRNA level of CLC-3 was remarkably increased in the CRC tissues compared with that in normal colorectal tissues (P<0.05) and was positively correlated with the T stage of CRC. The blockade of CLC-3 inhibited the viability and invasion of CRC cells (P<0.05). The expression ofβ-catenin, C-myc, cyclin D1, Ki-67, and survivin were evidently reduced by the in-hibition of CLC-3 (P<0.05). Conclusion:The inhibition of CLC-3 decreases the cell viability and invasion of CRC cells by reducing the ex-pression of the proteins related to the Wnt orβ-catenin signaling pathway.
