Objective To study the abnormal expression of P-AKT in follicular thyroid carcinoma and its relationship with angiogenesis. Methods MVD and expressions of P-AKT, VEGF in 40 specimens of FTC tissues were detected by immunohistochemical PV6000 method. Results The expression rate of P-AKT in FTC was higher than that of non-FTC tissues. The result was of statistical significance (P<0.001). There were correlations between the MVD of FTC tissue and the expression of P-AKT and VEGF (P<0.05). The MVD of P-AKT positive FTC tissue was higher than that of negative tissues (P<0.05). The MVD of VEGF positive FTC tissue was also higher than that of negative tissues(P<0.05). There were correlations between the expression of P-AKT and VEGF(P<0.05). Conclusion The hyperexpression of P-AKT played an important role in the secondary deposits and development of human follicular thyroid carcinoma. AKT/VEGF pathway may exist in FTC, and AKT is the key factor in the pathway which regulated the expression of VEGF.

Objective To assess the safety and efficacy of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) for pancreaticobiliary diseases in children. Methods Data of 9 patients younger than 14 years who underwent ERCP at between November 2004 and May 2010 were indentified through a computer database search. Therapeutic methods, success rate and procedure-related complications were evaluated.Results A total of 9 patients underwent 17 ERCP procedures under anesthesia, including 16 therapeutic and 1 diagnostic procedure. The success rate was 94. 1% (16/17) and the complication rate was 11.8%(2/17), including 1 mild pancreatitis and 1 peri-pancreatic infection. Conclusion ERCP is an important tool with high safety and efficacy for diagnosis and treatment of pancreaticobiliary diseases in children.

Calculation of cardiac hemodynamic parameters is based on accurate detection of feature points in impedance cardiogram. According to these parameters, doctors can determine heart conditions, so it is very important to accurately detect the feature point of impedance differential signals. This article presents a process in which we used wavelet threshold method to de-noise signals, and then detected the feature points after six layers wavelet decomposition by using bior3. 7. The experimental data were collected from healthy persons in our laboratory and twenty two clinical patients in Chongqing Daping Hospital by using KF_ICG instrument. The results indicated that this method could precisely detect feature points whether it was from healthy people or clinical patients. This helps to achieve the application of noninvasive detection cardiac hemodynamic parameters in clinical treatments by using impedance method.

Objective To compare the effects of BOSU ball exercise and treadmill walking on lower limbs function in patients after stroke. Methods 40 patients more than 6 months after stroke were randomly divided into BOSU ball group (n=20) and treadmill group (n=20), who accepted BOSU ball or treadmill exercise on the basis of routine rehabilitation. They were assessed with Berg Balance Scale (BBS), 30-s chair stand (CS-30), sit and reach (SR), 6 minutes walk test (6MWT) and modified Barthel Index (MBI) before and 12 weeks after treatment. Results The scores of all the assessment improved in both groups after treatment (P<0.05), and the socres of BBS and MBI improved more in the BOSU ball group than in the treadmill group (P<0.05). Conclusion BOSU ball exercise can improve more of the balance and activities of daily living in post-stroke patient than treadmill walking.

Objective To investigate the expression of integrin β1 and VEGF in gastric carcinoma and evaluate its correlation with invasion and metastasis.Methods Immunohistochemistry techniques were used to study the expression of integrin β1 and VEGF in 63 gastric carcinoma specimens.We analyzed the variance with histological grade and stage and classification of clinical date.Results No significant relationship was observed among age,sex and histological classification of the expression of integrin β1 in the gastric cancer group (P>0.05).With the depth of invasion and lymphatic metastasis increasing,integrin β1 expression improved.The positive rate of integrin β1 among tubular adenocarcinoma,papillary carcinoma,mucinous carcinoma and undifferentiated carcinoma was 70.00 %,55.56 %,57.14 % and 64.86 %.No significant relationship was observed in it.Integrin β1 in cases with lymphnode metastasis was significantly higher than those without lymph node metastasis (P<0.05).No significant relationship was observed among VEGF expression and age,sex,histological classification and depth of invasion (P>0.05).Significant relationship was observed among VEGF expression and lymphatic metastasis.VECF in cases with lymph node metastasis was significantly higher than those without lymph node metastasis (P<0.05).Conclusion Immunohistochemistry techniques indicated that integrin β1 participated in the procession of invasion and metastasis.The expression of integrin β1 and VEGF are important factor,forecasting the invasion and metastasis.VEGF is an important factor for lymphnade metastasis of gastric carcinoma.VEGF in cases with lymphnode metastasis was significantly higher than those without lymphnode metastasis(P<0.05).The usage of integrin β1 and VEGF will improve the rightness in forecasting the invasion and lymph node metastasis of gastric carcinoma.

Objective:To observe the effect of thoracic infusion of pseudomonas aeruginosa injection in malignant pleural effusion. Methods:A total of 90 patients with malignant pleural effusion were randomly divided into treatment group (31 cases),control group A (29 cases) and control group B(30 cases). Treatment group was treated with pseudomonas aeruginosa through intrathoracic infusion. Control group A and B were respectively treated with cisplatin and interleukin-2 through intrathoracic infusion. The clinical efficacy and adverse reaction were compared among the three groups. Results:The total effective rate of treatment group was 80.6%,the total effective rates of the control group A and B were 51.7%and 56.7%respectively.Compared with that of contral groups, the total effective rate of treatment group was higher, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The incidence of serious side effects and toxicity was lower in treatment group than in control groups. Conclusion:The effect of thoracic infusion of pseudomonas aeruginosa injection for malignant pleural effusion is significant, and the adverse reaction is mild. Thus it is worth to be promoted clinically.

Objective To establish the sulfur mustard (SM ) induced tracheal injury model in rat and to investigate its mecha-nism .Methods Male rats (SD) were anesthetized and intra-tracheally intubated .The SM group was intra-tracheally injected by 2 mg/kg of diluted SM ,while the propylene glycol control group only by 0 .1mL of propylene glycol and the normal control group had no any treatment .The tissue and blood samples were taken for conducting the HE and immunohistochemical staining and measuring serum enzymes and andinflammatory factors .Results In the SM group ,a large number of lymphocytes infiltration in submucosa were observed;the positive expression of caspase-3 and caspase-9 were observed in epithelium and submucosa ;serum levels of TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-6 reached the peak in 24 h;serum levels of LDH ,GP ,BARS reached the peak in 6h ,so did GGT in 24 h .In the propyl-ene glycol control group and the normal control group ,lymphocytes ,macrophages and neutrophils were rare in submucosa .Conclu-sion The mechanism of SM (2 mg/kg) induced acute tracheal injury involves the inflammatory reaction ,apoptosis and oxidative stress ,moreover the lesion degree has the correlation with time .

Objective To investigate the occurrence of nocturnal myocardial ischemia and its relationship with sleep-disordered breathing (apneas and oxygen desaturations) in patients with angina pectoris undergoing coronary angiography.Methods Eighty-two men and 14 women referred for consideration of coronary intervention were randomly selected. Observation by an overnight sleep monitor and Holter recording were performed to study sleep-disordered breathing (oxyhemoglobin desaturations≥4％ and apnea-hypopneas),heart rates, and ST-segment depressions (≥ 1mm, ≥1 min).Results Nocturnal ST-segment depressions occurred in 37 ％ of the patients. ST-segment depression within 2 min after an apnea-hypopnea or desaturation occurred in 17％ of the patients. This temporal association was seen in 21％ of the patients with nocturnal ST-segment depressions, more frequently in men (P＜0.05) and more frequently in those with severe disordered breathing (P＜0.05).Most of these ST-segment depressions were preceded by a series of breathing events: repeated apnea-hypopneas or desaturations or both in 73％ of the patients. Conclusions Episodes of nocturnal myocardial ischemia are common in patients with angina pectoris. A temporal relationship between sleep-disordered breathing and myocardial ischemia was present in some of our patients, and occurs more frequently in men and in those with severely disordered breathing. Objective BRAFV600E mutation, RET/PTC rearrangement, and the concomitant of Hashimoto's thyroiditis(HT) could influence clinicopathological features of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC).This study is to investigate the distribution of three factors in PTC and to analyze their associations with clinicopathological characteristics.Methods Fine-needle aspiration samples were collected in a total of 122 conventional PTC patients, who were confirmed by surgery.The clinicopathological features were collected to analyze its association with different factors.BRAFV600E mutation and RET/PTC rearrangement were detected by pyrosequencing and Taqman-qPCR, respectively.Results BRAFV600E mutation was significantly correlated with an older age and a less coexistence with HT(P＜0.05).In contrast, RET/PTC rearrangement was more prevalent in young patients and was associated with the concomitant of HT(P＜0.05).In the age of ≥20 year and＜45 year groups, BRAFV600E mutation was significantly associated with extrathyroidal invasiveness.RET/PTC rearrangement was significantly associated with bilateral lymph node metastasis and the number of metastatic lymph node.Conclusions The distribution of three factors were different in PTC patients.In addition to the age at diagnosis, all of three factors should also be considered together to analyze the association of clinicopathological features of PTC.
