BACKGROUND:It is reported that gelatin sponge particles and chitosan/α, β-glycerophosphate gel microspheres have high application prospects in the treatment of hemoptysis of pulmonary tuberculosis.METHODS: Forty SPF Kunming mice were selected to make animal models of pulmonary tuberculosis hemoptysis using aerosolized inhalation device and randomly divided into two groups undergoing embolization for hemostasis using gelatin sponge particles and chitosan/α, β-glycerophosphate gel microspheres, respectively. Body mass changes, hemostasis time, effective rate of hemostasis, related indexes of myocardium and pathological changes of pulmonary tuberculosis were observed at 15 and 30 days after treatment.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1) Mice in the chitosan/α, β-glycerophosphate gel microspheres group had higher body mass than those in the gelatin sponge group at 15 days after treatment (P < 0.05). (2) Compared with the gelatin sponge group, the hemostatic efficiency was higher and the time of hemostasis was shorter in the chitosan/α, β-glycerophosphate gel microspheres group (P< 0.05). (3) There were no significant differences in the levels of BNP precursor, creatine kinase isoenzyme and creatine kinase between the two groups (P > 0.05). (4) The lymphocyte infiltration and necrotic lesions were found around the microspheres, necrotic lesions were found, and there were a lot of active cells on the microspheres. There were a few lymphocytes in the gelatin sponge group. These results show that that the chitosan/α, β-glycerophosphate gel microspheres have better hemostatic effects in comparison with gelatin sponge particles in a mouse model of pulmonary tuberculosis.

Journal of Clinical Hepatology 2019;35(3):530-534
ObjectiveTo investigate the value of Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) staging system versus Hong Kong Liver Cancer (HKLC) staging system in predicting the prognosis of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). MethodsA retrospective analysis was performed for the clinical data of 436 previously untreated patients with HCC who were admitted to The Affiliated Tumor Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from July 2008 to July 2013, and the staging score was determined according to the HKLC and BCLC staging systems. The Kaplan-Meier method was used to plot survival curves, and the log-rank test was used to compare the cumulative survival rate between the patients with different HKLC or BCLC stages. The Cox proportional hazards model was used to calculate the likelihood ratios (LR χ2) of the two systems. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) and C-index were used to analyze the discriminability and trend of the HKLC and BCLC staging systems. ResultsThere was a significant difference in survival rate between the patients with adjacent HKLC stages (all P<0.05), and there was also a significant difference in survival rate between all patients with adjacent BCLC stages (all P<0.001), except between those with stage 0 and stage A HCC. The Cox proportional hazards model showed that the HKLC system (LR χ2=131.14) had a better homogeneity than the BCLC system (LR χ2=100.69). The C-index of the BCLC and HKLC systems was 0.703 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.675-0.731) and 0.720 (95% CI: 0.692-0.748), respectively, and there was a significant difference in C-index between the two systems (P<0.001). There was a significant difference in the AUC of 1-year cumulative survival rate between the BCLC system and the HKLC system [0.783 (95% CI: 0.745-0.821) vs 0.811 (95% CI: 0774-0849), P=0.026]. ConclusionBoth BCLC and HKLC staging systems have a good value in predicting the prognosis of HCC patients, but the HKLC staging system has a higher value than the BCLC staging system.

Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2005;29(2):96-100
Development of an ultrasonic hyperthermia instrument's software based on ARM32 microprocessor is here introduced. The system integrates the embedded SOC system, memory system, PWM system, A/D system, JTAG debug system, UART communication system, I/O system and GUI system (include LCD, keyboard) in one PCB board. It effectively completes the control and constance of temperature through the improved PID algorithm, and the instrument miniaturization. Experiments have proved that the system accords with the design requirements.

Chinese Journal of Radiology 2012;46(2):152-157
Objective To summarize the diagnostic efficacy of ADC value for differentiation of benign and malignant lymph nodes on diffusion MRI with Meta-analysis. Methods Published papers on differentiation of benign and malignant lymph nodes with ADC value were searched and reviewed.Quality evaluation was performed for the eligible papers before data extraction.Test for heterogeneity was performed first, then appropriate model was selected to calculate the weighted mean difference, sensitivity, specificity, positive likelihood ratio, negative likelihood ratio, diagnostic odds ratio, pretest and posttest probability. The potential of ADC value for differentiation of benign and malignant lymph nodes was assessed qualitatively and quantitatively. Results Fifteen papers including 735 cases and 1963 lymph nodes were selected.According to Meta-regression analysis, subgroup analysis and robust analysis, two studies with benign lymph nodes in patients with benign lesion and one study using chemical shift saturation technique were excluded because of their impact on the robustness of the pooled results. The weighted mean difference (WMD) between malignant and benign lymph nodes was -0.355 × 10-3mm2/s[95% confidence interval (CI):-0.423 ×10-3- -0.288 × 10-3 mm2/s].Although the cutoff of ADC value for differentiation in each study was different, the diagnostic efficacy was stable, the pooled sensitivity, specificity, positive likelihood ratio, negative likelihood ratio, diagnostic odds ratio and area under summarized receiver operator's curve were 0.87 (95% CI:0.79-0.92),0.87 (95% CI:0.82-0.90),6.5 (95% CI:4.7-9.2),0.15 (95% CI:0.09-0.25 ),43 ( 95% CI:21-87 ),0.93 ( 95 % CI:0.90-0.95 ).The posttest malignancy probability of benign lymph node indicated by ADC was 6%,while that of malignant lymph node was 72%.Conclusion The ADC value can be used to differentiate benign and malignant lymph nodes with good sensitivity and specificity noninvasively.

Objective:To explore the effect of Angelica Sinensis Volatile Oil on the mi RNA expression profiling in myocardium tissue of the spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHRs),and to clarify the possible mechanism of Angelica Sinensis Volatile Oil.Methods:All the SHRs were divided into Angelica group, model group and captopril group, and other Wistar rats with the same age were selected as control group. The non-invasive systolic blood pressure was detected;after 4 weeks of administration, the changes of miRNA expression profiling in myocardium tissue were measured by Affymetrix miRNA 4.0 Array.KEGG analysis was used to identify the target genes. Results:Compared with control group, the systolic blood pressure of the rats in model group was significantly decreased (P < 0.05)before treatment.4 weeks after administration, compared with model group, the systolic blood pressure of the rats in Angelica group was significantly decreased (P <0.05).Compared with model group, 29 differential miRNAs of rats in Angelica group were found (P < 0.05 ), with 13 up-regulated miRNAs and 16 down-regulated miRNAs.The KEGG analysis results showed that miR-19a,let-7i,and miR-181c were related to insulin signaling pathways; let-7i, miR-181a, and miR-455 were related to VEGF signaling pathways;miR-122,miR-181a, miR-200b, miR-181c, let-7i, and miR-19a were related to apoptosis (P < 0.05 ). Conclusion:Angelica Sinensis Volatile Oil can decrease the blood pressure in SHRs and it can regulate the blood pressure by regulating the miRNA related to insulin signaling pathways and VEGF signaling pathways.
