The effects of magnolol (Mag) on hyperglycemia and hyperlipemia, hepatic oxidative stress and cytochrome P4502E1 (CYP2E1) activity of diabetic rats induced by high-fat diet (HFD) and streptozotocin (STZ) were studied. After oral administration of Mag (25, 50 and 100 mg x kg(-1) x d(-1)) for continuous 10 weeks, the blood glucose and lipids (TC, TG and LDL-C) levels, as well as the hepatic CYP2E1 activity and MDA content of diabetic rats, decreased significantly (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01), whereas the oral glucose tolerance and hepatic antioxidant enzymatic activities (CAT and GSH-Px) of diabetic rats, increased significantly (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). The results indicated that Mag was effective against the hepatic oxidative damage, hyperglycemia and hyperlipemia of diabetic rats induced by HFD and STZ, and the inhibition of Mag on hepatic CYP2E1 activity could be an important mechanism of Mag against hepatic insulin resistance and oxidative damage.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 1995;0(04):-
Objective: To investigate the correlation between the presence of a crown (CR) or a proximal restoration (PR) and furcation involvement (FI) on molars. Methods: Data were collected from 237 teeth in 44 patients who had restored and non-restored molars with or without FI.The clinical examinations were conducted on the molars including CR,PR,FI, mobility(MO), endodontic treatment(EN) and probe of periodontal attachment level(PAL). Results: Molars with CR or PR had a significantly highter percentage of FI (P0.05) when compared to molars without restorations. Conclusion: The molars with crowns or restorations involving the proximal tooth surfaces have a highter prevalence of FI and more periodontal attachment lose than molars without restorations.

Objective To study diagnosis significance of neutrophil surface adhesion molecules including CD11b,in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with cytomegalovirus (CMV)infection. Methods Blood samples from 139 cases of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients were collected including 99 male and 40 female cases between Septem-ber 2011 and January 2015.Healthy male 20 cases and female 13 cases were collected as healthy control group from outpatients in the same period.Type 2 diabetes mellitus patients were divided into high active CMV infection group, CMV infection group and the negative control group, and healthy group as normal control group according to CMV -pp65 antigen detection.Neutrophil surface adhesion molecule CD11b was analyzed by flow cytometry and compared respectively.ROC curve of CD11b in 2 diabetes mellitus patients was made. Results The expression ratio of CD11b in high active CMV infection group and CMV infection group in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients was (41.25 ± 5.33)%.There was significant difference (P =0.019)compared with negative control group (61.13 ±5.28)% and there was significant difference (P =0.009)compared with negative control group (64.21 ±6.02)%;optimal cut -off value of CD11b in high active CMV infection group was 45.65%,the sensitivity was 100.00%,the specificity in high active CMV infection group was 60.12%,and the area under the receiver -operating curve(ROC)was 0.628;optimal cut -off value of CD11b in CMV infection group was 70.21%,the sensitivity of CD11b was 87.69%,the specificity of CD11b was 99.22%,and the area under of ROC of CD11b was 0.991.Conclusion The neutrophils CD11b expression in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with CMV infection is down regulation.CD11b expression can be used as a laboratory diagnosis basis of CMV infection.

Objective To investigate the impact of hs-CRP and IVUS on major adverse cardiac event in patients who after coronary artery intermediate lesions stent implantation. Methods 82 patients with clinical diagnosis of coronary heart disease who had a segmental stenosis degree is 40% ~ 70% in one major coronary artery on coronary angiography, all of the patients do intravascular ultrasound, patients had minimal lumen area(MLA) of intermediate lesions ≤ 4mm2( the left main coronary artery)or≤ 6mm2( left main coronary artery) who received percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI),and the patients were divided into 2 groups,hs-CRP rise group(≥3mg/L) and hs-CRP normal group(<3mg/L),compared the rate between the two groups in hospital and follow up periods by typical angina, nonfatal myocardial infarction, cardiac death and target-vessel revascularization and other major adverse cardiac events (MACE).Results The rate on major adverse cardiac event in hs-CRP rise group was significantly higher than the normal group(P <0.01 );the restenosis rate in hs-CRP rise group higher than hs-CRP normal group(P <0.01 ).Conclusion hs-CRP could predict the rate on major adverse cardiac event in patients with after coronary artery intermediate lesions stent implantation, the patients of hs-CRP rise group should strengthen antiplatelet,anti-inflammatory treatment etc.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2008;12(35):6993-6996
With the occurrence of wireless sensor networks,low-load monitoring has a revolutionary change.Using wireless sensor networks, the whole monitoring system is composed of wireless electrocardiogram(ECG)sensors and wireless pulse wave sensors.Pulse wave signals from the temporal artery and ECG signals from the body synchronously were measured.Pulse Wave Transit Time was calculated. Both the wireless ECG sensor and the wireless pulse wave sensor were small sized and powered by button battery;the precision of time synchronization among sensors was less than 1 ms.The calculated Pulse Wave Transit Time changed slowly with deep breathing. The system iS able to work smoothly for continuous monitoting of Pulse Wave Transit Time in working conditions.
