Objective:To evaluate the value of shear wave dispersion imaging in identifying inflammatory reaction zone after liver ablation in rabbits. Methods:The animal model was made by laser ablation of rabbit liver, and then shear wave dispersion imaging and strain elastography imaging were performed on the ablation area at 3 d, 7 d, and 14 d after ablation. The shear wave dispersion values, elastic value and strain ratio measured by shear wave elastography, shear wave dispersion and strain elastography in different regions such as central necrotic tissue, surrounding inflammatory reaction zone and normal liver tissue after ablation were analyzed. Results:The shear wave dispersion values of inflammatory reaction zone around ablation site, necrotic tissue in the center of ablation site and normal liver tissue in rabbits were (26.07±4.55)m·s -1·kHz -1, (21.97±10.53)m·s -1·kHz -1and (15.45±3.94)m·s -1·kHz -1, respectively, the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). Compared with the three time points of 3 d, 7 d and 14 d after ablation, the shear wave dispersion value of the inflammatory zone was the highest on the 7th day after ablation ( P<0.05), while the elastic value and strain ratio in this region did not change significantly among these three time points ( P>0.05). Conclusions:Shear wave dispersion imaging can simultaneously measure tissue elasticity and viscosity, which has certain application value in identifying the inflammatory reaction zone around the ablation site in rabbit liver.

Objective To explore the feasibility of evaluating cardiac structure, coronary artery, pulmonary artery and cardiac function in one single scan by 320-row CT ECG-gated double phase cardiac function scan mode. MethodsForty patients underwent the 320-detector row CT double phase cardiovascular angiography. The pulmonary phase and aortic phase were reconstructed in order to evaluate the pulmonary and coronary artery. MPR reconstructions of both pulmonary and aortic phase were used to analyze the function of the two ventricles. And the results of the cardiac function were compared with those of transthoracic echocardiography. Thirty-five cases could be analyzed and diagnosed, while the other 5 cases had to be given up because of the poor imaging quality. The mean heart rate was (71.2 ± 11.2) beat per min (bpm). No arrhythmia case included. Results ( 1 ) Pulmonary embolism were diagnosed in 11 cases, coronary artery disease (CAD) were found in 5 cases, while post-stent implantation were observed in 7 cases. Six cases of congenital heart disease were diagnosed with 3 ASD and 3 primary pulmonary hypertension. Another one was diagnosed with left atrial myxoma, and 5 cases were pulmonary embolism associated with CAD. All of above cases were verified by final clinical diagnosis. (2) The heart function parameters including LVEDd , RVEDd, LVESd, RVESd and LVEF were (36.7 ±3.3), (43.3 ± 3.4) mm,(31.6±5.1), (41.3 ±5.1) mm and (47.1 ±15.1) for CT, while those were (40.3 ±3.1), (47.3 ±4.2) mm,(37.3 ±5.6), (45.3 ±3.3) mm,and (46.0 ± 14.8) for ultrasound, respectively. The CT results were correlated with the ultrasound ( n = 35, r = 0.886-0.988, P < 0.01 ). (3) The average radiation exposure was ( 5.4 ± 0.5 ) mSv. Conclusions 320-row CT ECG-gated double phase cardiac function scan mode is feasible for the "one-stop-shop" examination of the cardiovascular disease. This noninvasive method is recommended for the diagnosis, differential diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of cardiovascular disease.

OBJECTIVETransfusion transmitted virus (TTV) DNA was detected in serum samples obtained from healthy infants and volunteer blood donors living in Jiujiang city in an attempt to shed light on the prevalence of TTV infection and the transmission route of TTV infection in infants.
METHODSModified untranslated region, polymerase chain reaction (UTR PCR) and N22 PCR were performed to test TTV DNA in serum samples from 86 infants and 58 blood donors.
RESULTSTTV DNA was detected by UTR PCR in 51 (53.5%) infants and 58 (100%) in blood donors, while that tested by N22 PCR was 14 (16.3%) and 22 (37.3%) in infants and blood donors, respectively. Among infants younger than 30 days, 1 - 6 months and 7 - 12 months of age, TTV DNA was detected by UTR PCR and N22 PCR at rates of 0, 33.3%, 95.0% and 0, 7.4%, 30.0%, respectively.
CONCLUSIONThe prevalence rates of TTV DNA detected by UTR PCR were 95% in infants of 7 - 12 months after birth and 100% in healthy blood donors in Jiujiang city. However the results obtained by N22 PCR were much less frequently in the same population. Results showed that significant difference did exist in the prevalence of TTV DNA detected by the two different PCR systems. Age-dependent increase of TTV infection was observed in early childhood, while environmental sources were considered to be the most common route of TTV acquisition as the primary infection in infants. However, the prevalence of TTV in infants of 7 - 12 months was similar to that in healthy adults in the same region.

OBJECTIVETo observe the intervention effect of Leihong Granule (LG) in in-stent restenosis (ISR) after endovascular therapy for lower extremity arterial occlusive diseases (LEAOD).
METHODSRecruited 80 LEAOD patients who successfully underwent endovascular therapy (balloon dilation and stent implantation) were randomly assigned to two groups, the control group and the LG group, 40 in each group. Patients in the control group received basic treatment, while those in the LG group additionally took LG for 3 months. Plasma levels of IL-10, IL-18, CRP, and the intima-media thickness (IMT) of lower extremity artery were observed in the two groups between and after treatment. The rate of stent patency, ABI, intermittent claudication, rest pain, and the incidence of amputation the two groups were recorded and observed in the two groups.
RESULTSIn the control group, serum levels of IL-10, IL-18, CRP, and IMT were significantly higher one month after surgery than before surgery (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in serum levels of IL-10, IL-18, CRP, or IMT between the two groups before surgery (P > 0.05). These indices were obviously lower in the LG group than in the control group after surgery (P < 0.05). Compared with the control group, the incidence rates of intermittent claudication and the rest pain at 6 months and 12 months after surgery significantly decreased (P < 0.05). The stent patency rate at 6 months and 12 months after surgery, and ABI were significantly higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05). There was no statistical difference in the amputation rate between the two groups (P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONLG might effectively improve ischemic symptoms of affected limbs possibly through lowering the ISR rate after endovascular therapy for LEAOD through preventing immunosuppressive actions.

OBJECTIVEThe relationship between the mode of tumor invasion in the tumor-host borderline and the frequency of cervical lymph node metastasis was investigated in squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity.
METHODS200 cases with histologically proven squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity were studied by histological method with HE stained. The mode of invasion in the tumor-host relationship was classified into five grades by Yamamoto's criteria.
RESULTSWith regard to the relationship between the mode of invasion and metastasis, the more invasive the tumor tissue was, the more frequent the metastasis formed (P < 0.001). The frequency of metastasis in grades 1 and 2 was low (0 and 5.9%, respectively), The frequency of metastasis in grades 3 was moderate (14.3%), and that in grades 4c and 4d was highly rapid (63.0% and 82.9%, respectively). Single node metastases were frequent in grade 3 and grade 4c (66.7% and 58.8%, respectively), while plural node metastases were frequent in grade 4d (70.6%, P < 0.05). Moreover, the distribution of metastasized lymph nodes was focused on level 1 (41.2%) or level 1 and 2 (79.4%) in grade 4c and was dispersed from level 1 to 4 in grade 4d (P < 0.05). In the present study, the degree of differentiation did not correlate well with the frequency of metastasis.
CONCLUSIONThese results indicate that the more invasive the tumor cells were to the host, the more frequent the metastasis formed. The different mode of invasion would accompany with different frequency of metastasis, different number and distribution of metastasized lymph nodes.

In the bioequivalence (BE) studies, repeated BE tests are often encountered due to many reasons. How to carry out such kind of tests, currently,no guideline could be referenced. Based on the two - stage design,α spending (type Ⅰ error) was investigated in the repeated bioequivalence studies under various situations, and example was given for demonstration purpose. It is expected type Ⅰ error be kept under the regulatory requirements by means of adoption of different α values during the repeated BE tests.

Objective To study the changes in Bcl-2/adenovirus EIB 19kD-interacting protein 3(BNIP3)expression in the hippocampus of rats following transient forebmin ischemia. Methods Ten adult male Wistar rats were randomized into sham operation group(n=5)andischemia-rcperfosion group(n=5),and the rats in the latter group were subjectedto global ischemia for 15 min followed by repeffusion for 72 h.Nissl's staining was used to examine the neuronal death in the hippocampus induced by global brain isehemia.Another 14 adult male Wistar rats Were randomly divided into 3 groups, namely group 1 with sham operation(n=4),group 2 with global cerebral isehemia followed by reperfusion for 1 h(n=5),and group 3 with global isebemia and reperfusion for 6 h(n=5).All the rats were sacrificed to examine BNIP3 expression in the hippocampus using Western blotting. Results Compared with the sham operation group, the ischemia-reperfusion(72 h)group showed obvious neuronal death in the hippoeampal Cal region, where the neurons presented with irregular shape, cell shrinkage and nuclear fragmentation. BNIP3 monomer expression significantly increased in the hippocampus after isehemia-reperfusion in comparison with that in the sham operation group(P<0.05),but the length of reperfusion time(1 and 6 h)did not significantly affected BNIP3 monomer expression (2.543±0.473vs3 2.942±0.777,P>0.05).No significant difference was found in the expression level of BNIP3 dimers between the sham operation, ischemia-reperfusion 1 h and 6 h groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The expression of BNIP3 is up-regulated in the hippocampus of rats with transient forebrain ischemia.
