Objective To compare enhancement features of primary hepatocellular carcinoma(PHCC)and recurrent hepatocellular carcinoma(RHCC) on.contrast-enhanced ultrasonography(CEUS). Methods CEUS was performed in 56 patients with 70 RHCC and 83 patients with 93 PHCC. The enhancement features of these two groups of hepatocellular carcinoma were compared. The time used for the enhancement material to arrive the lesion(Ta ), that used for the lesion to become isoechoic(T1 ) and hypoechoic relative to the surrounding hepatic parenchyma(To) were analyzed. The echogenicity change between the lesion and the parenchyma was observed during arterial phase, portal phase and delayed phase. Results The time used for the lesion to become hypoechogenicity of RHCC and PHCC was (104.0 ± 51.8)s, (85.5 ± 43.0)srespectively,there was significant difference between the two groups( P = 0.010). There were 24 (34.3 % )cases of RHCC and 16 ( 17.2% ) cases of PHCC becoming isoechoic during portal phase, the former rate was significantly higher than the later one( P = 0. 012). Conclusions There is significant difference between PHCC and RHCC in the performance of CEUS,this is useful for the early diagnosis of RHCC.

Objective To investigate the methods and therapeutic effects of image-guided percutaneous needle iniection of methylprednisolone and injectable calcium sulfate for simple bone cysts. Methods Thirty-seven patients with simple bone cysts from 0ctober 2006 to August 2010 were analysed retrospectively in our hospital, including 26 males and 11 females with the average age of 13.2 years(range,8-22 years).Five cases of proximal femus lesions, with proximal thigh pain, limp and other symptoms.Thirty-two cases of proximal humeral lesions,16 patients had proximal pain and other symptoms of upper arm,the other 16 cases were asymptomatic.Preoperative AP and lateral X-ray.CT and MRl were taken.Under the C-arm X-ray monitor.two needles were inserted into the proximal and distal of cysts respectively,Omnipaque contrast was iniected to confirm the two needles is interlinked, then repeated rinsing with normal saline, then 120 mg methylprednisolone and iniectable calcium sulfate were injected, till the cysts were full up.Patients after treatment were assessed according to modified Neer X-ray criteria.Resuits The average hospitalization was 2.3 days (range.1-3 days).X-ray was reviewed every month, additional injection was performed if bone cysts stopped decreasing for 2 consecutive months, iniection 2 times in 6 eases, and 31 cases were injected only once. After 3 months follow.up 37 cases, according to modified Neer X-ray criteria,6 eases regarded as grade Ⅱ,8 as grade Ⅲ,23 as grade Ⅳ;after 6 months,31 patients were followed up,including 2 cases as grade Ⅱ,4 cases as grade Ⅲ,25 as grade Ⅳ;after 24 months of follow-up 26 cases,3 as grade Ⅲ,23 as grade Ⅳ;after 36 months follow-up,19 cases were all grade Ⅳ.Conclusion Imaging-guided percutaneous iniection of methylprednisolone and inieetable calcium sulfate for simple bone cysts has demonstrated, with less trauma, lower complications incidence and quicker recovery.

Objective To analyze the diagnosis and prognosis value of abdominal CT scans in patients with acute pancreatitis complications. Methods 151 cases with acute pancreatitis were selected. The relationship between abdominal CT performances and the common complications and death in patients was analyzed. The prognosis of patients with different Balthazar CT severity index (CTSI) grade was compared. Results The complication rate of patients with CT signs of fatty liver, pleural effusion, liver gap effusion, adrenal gland involvement (AGI), penirenal space involvement (PSI) and gastric bare area involvement (GBAI) was significantly higher than that of patients with negative CT findings above (P<0.05).With CTSI grading increasing, the patient''s fasting time, heating time, hospital stay, recovery time of blood amylase were extended, and the incidence of pseudo cyst, transit surgery, organ failure and death was gradually increasing (P<0.05).Conclusion Severe fatty liver, AGI, GBAI, PSI and liver gap effusion are risk factors for acute complications and death in patients with pancreatitis.

Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of modulated medium frequency current therapy (MMFCT) combined with infrared therapy on patients of acute facial neuritis. Methods A total of forty-six patients with acute facial neuritis were divided into two groups (observation group and control group) randomly and medially. Every patient received medication. Meanwhile, observation group received MMFCT and infrared therapy. Before the treatment, and after two and four weeks of treatment, Portmann scale were used to evaluate the autonomic movements of the facial expression muscles on both sides. After 4 weeks of treatment, the outcome was evaluated by House-Brackmann facial nerve grading system. Results There were no significant differences in Portmann scales before treatment between two groups. Portmann scales were higher in observation group than those of control group after two and four weeks of treatment (P<0.05). With the duration of treatment, Portmann scales were increased successively in two groups. The significant difference was found in multiple comparisons between groups. After 4 weeks of treatment, the efficacy was significant in the observation group, compared with control group, the difference was significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Modulated medium frequency current therapy combined with infrared therapy have a better effect than isolated medication.

Objective To observe the effect of the 8-word bandage on the walking ability of stroke patients with knee hyperextension. Methods Fifty patients with stroke combined with knee hyperextension were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group with 25 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional methods, including Bobath technology, Brunnstrom therapy and motor relearning primarily rehabilitation training. In addition to the conventional methods, patients in the observation group used 8-word bandage to fix knee joint in walking training. Before and after 8 weeks of treatment, Holden walking function classification, 10-meter maximum walking speed and improved Barthel index were adopted to evaluate the walking ability, maximum walking speed and the life ability of the patients. Results There were no significant differences in the scores before treatment between the two groups. The Holden walking function classification, the 10-meter maximum walking speed and the Barthel index scores were significantly improved after 8-week treatment in both two groups (P<0.05), and patient conditions were more significantly improved in the observation group than those of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Using 8-word bandage to fix knee joint can significantly improve knee hyperextension in patients with stroke, so as to improve the walking ability and activities of daily living.
