Objective To explore the application values of effect on the expression of growth associated protein-43 (GAP-43) and myelin basic protein(MBP) by electrical stimulation in different sites of spinal cord injured rats after the human umbilical cord blood stem cells transplantation. Methods In this study the subjects adopted are clean grade rats, which were performed with Allen's method by NYU blow device, resulting in SCI models. 192 rats successfully modeled were divided into groups according to the random table. Group A received electric stimulation in the scalp surface projection area of motor area: Group A1 received electric stimulation and transplantation of umbilical cord blood stem cell, while Group A2 only received electric stimulation; Group B received local electric stimulation at damaged site: Group B1 received electric stimulation and transplantation of umbilical cord blood stem cell, while Group B2 only received electric stimulation; Group C received electric stimulation in the scalp surface projection area of motor area and local electric stimulation at damaged site: Group C1 received electric stimulation and transplantation of umbilical cord blood stem cell, while Group C2 only received electric stimulation; Group D are just the SCI models: Group D1 received transplantation of umbilical cord blood stem cell without electric stimulation, while Group D2 neither received cell transplantation nor electric stimulation. The sacrifice time of rats was the 1st week, 2nd week, 3rd week, 4th week, 8th week, and 12th week after operation respectively. The distribution of the remained or regenerative neurons at damaged areas by corticospinal tract anterograde tracer with Biotinylated dextran amine (BDA), and we also detected the content changes of GAP-43, MBP and the MAB1281 specific expression of the human nucleus of human umbilical cord blood stem cells. Results 1). NYU is a blow device for Allen's rat model of SCI, which could quantify the crash potential energy, and gain a stable and repeated model with high successful rate. 2). At each time site in this study, the factors that benefit for the neurofunction restoration after electric stimulation in the microenvironment into which the stem cells have been transplanted are GAP-43 and MBP, and they are all positive; the effects of the combination of head acupuncture with body acupuncture are much better than single head acupuncture or body acupuncture. 3). At each time site in this study, the factors that benefit for the neurofunction restoration after injury are GAP-43 and MBP, and the effects of them are all positive, which do not depend on whether the stem cell transplantation has been done. Conclusion 1). After the stem cell transplantation have been done, the changes of the microenvironment develops in the direction of benefiting for restoring neurofunction, which means that stem cell transplantation can promote the restoration of neurofunction and the stem cell transplantation is successful in this study. 2). Electric stimulation is significantly positive for the factors (GAP-43, MBP) which benefit for restoring neurofunction in the microenvironment after stem cell transplantation, the effects of the combination of head acupuncture with body acupuncture is better than single head acupuncture or body acupuncture. The significantly positive effects of the electric stimulation on microenvironment after injuries are independent, which do not depend on whether the stem cell transplantation has been done. Electric stimulation and stem cell transplantation are significantly synergistic at the microenvironment.

Objective To compare the effect of ultrasound-guided Mammotome minimally invasive operation and traditional surgery in treating benign breast tumor. Methods Eighty patients with benign breast tumor admitted to People's Hospital of Beijing Daxing District from October 2015 to April 2016 were randomly divided into group A and group B.Patients in group A accepted ultrasound-guided Mammotome minimally invasive operation (n =40),while patients in Group B accepted traditional surgery (n =40).Operation time, incision length, blood loss, patient satisfaction, postoperative pain, and the occurrence rates of complications were compared between the two groups. Results All the tumors in two groups were removed.Patients in group A had shorter operation time (10.4 ± 1.0) min, less blood loss (4.1 ± 0.5) ml,smaller length of incision (0.34 ± 0.04) cm (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01);also had less occurrence of complication (P < 0.05);and patients in group A had better patient's satisfaction (95%) (P < 0.01).Conclusions Ultrasound-guided Mammotome minimally invasive operation is helpful to shorten operation time and incision length, and reduce blood loss, also improve satisfaction. It is valuable for application and popularization in primary hospital.

The aim of the present study was to detect the transmission rate of ultrasonic low intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) through polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membrane (Thickness: 0.01 mm) and Bio-Gide collagen membrane, and to provide the basis for the barrier membrane selection on the study of LIPUS combined with guided tissue regeneration (GTR). The ultrasonic (LIPUS, frequency 1.5 MHz, pulse width 200 micros, repetition rate 1.0 kHz) transmission coefficient of the two kinds of barrier membrane were detected respectively through setting ten groups from 10 to 100mW/cm2 every other 10 mW/cm2. We found in the study that the ultrasonic transmission coefficient through 0.01 mm PTFE membrane was 78.1% to 92.%, and the ultrasonic transmission coefficient through Bio-Gide collagen membrane was 43.9% to 55.8%. The ultrasonic transmission coefficient through PTFE membrane was obviously higher than that through Bio-Gide collagen membrane. The transmission coefficient of the same barrier membrane of the ultrasonic ion was statistically different under different powers (P < 0.05). The results showed that the ultrasonic transmittance rates through both the 0.01 mm PTFE membrane and Bio-Gide collagen membrane were relatively high. We should select barrier membranes based on different experimental needs, and exercise ultrasonic transmission coefficient experiments to ensure effective power.

Objective To investigate the relationship between carotid arteriostenosis and atheromatous plaques with cerebral in-farction.Methods Cervical spiral CT angiography of 56 cases with cerebral infarction and 49 cases without cerebral infarction were retrospectively analysed .The difference between the two groups was compared with regard to the distribution ,nature of plaques and the degree of carotid artery stenosis. Results Of 56 patients with cerebral infarction,126 atheromatous plaques were detected in 42 patients,of which 39 were soft,34 were calcified,53 exhibited a combined nature of both calcified and soft plaque and 7 cases were plaque ulcerations (soft plaque and mixed plaque accounted for about 73%).Plaque location for carotid artery was in the bifurcation. 102 carotid arteries stenosis were found in 38 patients, which included mild stenosis in 29,moderate in 40,severe in 27 and occlusion in 6(moderate and severe stenosis accounted for about 65.7%).In the control group,28 plaques were detected in 1 1 cases,of which 6 were soft,13 were calcified and 9 exhibited a combined nature of both calcified and soft plaque.1 1 carotid arteries stenosis were found in 7 patients, included mild stenosis in 10,moderate in 1.A significant difference (P <0.05)in carotid arteriostenosis and ath-eromatous plaques between the two groups was found. Conclusion Carotid plaques and stenosis are important risk factors of cerebral infarction.Multi-slice spiral CT angiography(MSCTA)has important value in analysis of carotid artery stenosis and atheroderotic plaques.
