Objective To study the effect of Guipi Decoction on serum IL-1? and hippocampus IL-1RⅠ expression of depression model rats, and approach its mechanism of treating depression. Methods The depression model was established by received chronic unpredictable stress stimulus. Forty female Wistar rats were divided into four groups:control group, model group, saline group and Chinese medicine group. All rats were weighed and taken Open-field test on 0 and 22nd day, the serum IL-1? was detected with radio-immunity, and the expression of IL-1RⅠ was detected with immunohistochemical method. Result Compared with the control group, the weight, behavior points, serum IL-1?, expression of IL-1RⅠ of the model group and the saline group changed obviously while that in Chinese medicine group did not. Conclusion The anti-depressive mechanism of Guipi Decoction is related to maintaining the normal excretion of IL-1? and IL-1RⅠ expression from the chronic stress.

ObjectiveTo investigate the features of pulmonary function and influencing factors in patients with cervical spinal cord injury (SCI).MethodsThe pulmonary function data of 48 patients with cervical SCI were analyzed. The correlations between the percent predicted values of vital capacity (VC), maximal voluntary ventilation (MVV), forced expiratory volume of 1st second (FEV1) and V75 (expressed as VC%, MVV%, FEV1%, V75%) and ASIA motor/sensory scores were analyzed. Then, four multiple linear regressions were run to use VC, MVV, FEV1, V75 as an independent variable respectively.ResultsThe percent predicted values of the pulmonary function (VC%, MVV%, FEV1%, V75%) in patients with cervical SCI obviously decreased, which suggested that these patients had a restrictive ventilation disorder. There were significant positive correlations between VC%、FEV1%、V75% and ASIA motor scores (by bivariate correlation tests), no significant correlations between any of pulmonary function parameters and the ASIA sensory scores. Of four linear regression models, the height showed as a protecting factor in 3 linear regression models and weight did in the other one respectively. Of parameters associated with SCI, just ASIA motor scores showed as a protecting factor in 3 linear regression models, no sensory scores or duration appeared in any linear regression models.ConclusionBesides the height and weight, the ASIA motor score is a main factor influencing the pulmonary function.

Objective To investigate the phenotype and genetic characteristics of a Chinese family with an autosomal-dominant inherited sensorineural hearing loss. Methods A Chinese pedigree associated with an autosomal-dominant inherited low-frequency sensorineural hearing loss (LFSNHL) was investigated. After obtaining informed consent from all study participants medical and audiological examination were used to rule out any syndromic hearing impairment.Five patients were tested with DPOAE and ABR,while two patients were tested with vestibular function and computed tomography scan of the temporal bone to exclude auditory neuropathy and other possible aural disorders.Twenty-one loci and twenty-three genes of DFNA screening had been done by using microsatellite markers and linkage analysis. Results Proband of the family had been diagnosed with low-frequency sensorineural hearing loss.A Chinese family BJ-L046 with non-syndromic autosomal dominant hearing loss was ascertained.Hearing impairment in the affected members in family BJ-L046 occured from 10 to 20 years of age and mainly affected the low frequencies, causing an upsloping audiogram.Higher frequencies were getting involved with increasing age, thus causing a flat-type audiogram. No positive result was found in twenty-one loci and twenty-three genes of DFNA screening. Conclusion A Chinese family with late-onset low-frequency sensorineural hearing loss was clinically studied. No positive result was found by linkage analysis, and twenty-one loci and twenty-three genes of DFNA were preliminary excluded.

Objective: Cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (CRT-D) increases ventricular transmural dispersion of repolarization (TDR). Our work evaluated the relationship between QTc interval of TDR indicators, TpTe, TpTe/QTc ratio and rapid ventricular arrhythmia in patients with CRT-D. Methods: A total of 160 consecutive patients who received CRT-D implantation in our hospital from 2011-01 to 2013-03 were studied. The immediate post operative ECG was collected to analyze lead V5 QTc interval, TpTe and TpTe/QTc ratio for assessing its TDR. The patients were divided into 2 groups: Treatment group, the patients with ventricular tachycardia or ventricular ifbrillation received CRT-D,n=30 (18.7%) and Non-treatments group,n=130 (81.3%). All patients were followed-up for (20 ± 10) months and the rapid ventricular arrhythmia was recorded by CRT-D devices. Results: The patients in Treatment group had increased TpTe/QTc (0.24 ± 0.05) vs (0.20 ± 0.04, and TpTe (119 ± 30) ms vs (95 ± 20) ms, bothP<0.001. The QTc interval was similar between 2 groups (480 ± 60) ms vs (470 ± 70) ms,P=0.6 and QTc interval was not related to the risk of CRT-D requirement. The sensitivity and speciifcity for TpTe/QTc ≥ 0.25 predicting the risk of ventricular arrhythmia in CRT-D patients were at 47% and 91%, while TpTe ≥ 120 ms were at 40% and 95%respectively. The post CRT-D surviving curve analysis indicated that TpTe/QTc ratio and TpTe could predict the prognosis in relevant patients,P<0.001. Conclusion: The elevated TpTe and TpTe/QT ratio may increase the incidence of CRT-D requirement in patients with ventricular arrhythmia after resynchronization.

Objective To study the characteristics of work disability and its influencing factors in patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS). Methods The demographic data, work conditons and disease related characteristics of 277 patients with AS were recorded, and randomly selected from the Department of Rheumatology, Chinese PLA General Hospital from November 2014 to January 2016. Work and productivity activity impair-ment questionnaire (WPAI) was used to survey the work disability and productivity loss, then explore its in-fluencing factors and the relationships between patient-reported outcomes and WPAI scores. Logistic regression was used to analyze the associated factors of work disability. Multivariate linear regression was used to analyze the predictive factors of lose of work productivity. Results The prevalence of work disability was 30.3%. Twenty patients were unemployed because of working disability. Two hudreds patients were employed, with average 36.5 (24.0, 50.0) hours workingtime in the past week. Average AS related absenteeism was 4.4 (0, 10) hour. Average workproductivity loss was 26.4%(2.5%, 40.0%). Logistic multiple regression analysis showed that Bath AS disease activity index (BASDAI), SF-36 physical component summary (PCS) scores might be the important influencing factors among those clinical measures ( OR=1.270, 0.959). Presenteeism and overall work impairment were moderately correlated with patients' global assessment of disease activity (VAS), BASDAI, bath AS functional index (BASFI), SF-36 physical Functioning (PF), SF-36 body pain (BP) and SF-36 Physical Component Summary (PCS) (|r|=0.539-0.648). Linear multivariate analyses indicated that work presente-eismand absenteeismwere significantly associated with BASDAI (P<0.01). Conclusion High prevalence of work disability in patients with AS is noted, which is closely related with disease activity and body function;High attention should be paid to AS patients with work disability.

Objective To analyze the clinical manifestations and possible gene mutation sites of Chinese patients in order to improve the clinician's understanding of CHARGE syndrome. Methods Clinical data were collected and blood samples were obtained from the proband of CHARGE syndrome and their relatives. The peripheral blood DNA was extracted and sequenced by PCR amplification. Mutation sites were verified by Sanger sequencing. Results For the first proband, a heterozygous mutation was detected in the intron 10 of CHD7 gene. His parents and brother did not have mutation. For the second proband, total repeat sequence in exon 7 of CHD7 gene was detected. His father carried the same mutation and his mother did not have mutation. Conclusion For the patients who are diagnosed with CHARGE syndrome based on the clinical manifestations, genetic mutation detection should be proceeded. It is useful for studying possible genetic pathogenesis and enhancing the awareness of clinicians.

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of neck Gongfa exercise in intervening people at high risk for cervical spondylosis. Methods:A total of 212 participants from 8 companies at high risk for cervical spondylosis were divided into two groups using the random number table method, with 105 participants in the control group receiving health education and 107 participants in the trial group receiving an additional neck Gongfa exercise. After successive 3-month interventions, the two groups were compared in terms of cervical soft tissue tension and neck disability index(NDI)score. The incidence of cervical spondylosis was observed 3 months later. Results:During the process,10 cases dropped out in the trial group, and the control group had 9 dropout cases. After the intervention, the cervical soft tissue tension value and NDI score improved in both groups(P<0.05)and showed significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05).At the 3-month follow-up,the trial group had a lower incidence rate of cervical spondylosis than the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:For people at high risk for cervical spondylosis, neck Gongfa exercise can effectively improve cervical soft tissue tension and motor dysfunction and lower the incidence of cervical spondylosis in the short run.
