Bibenzyl is a type of active compounds abundant in Dendrobium. In the present study, we investigated the inhibitory effects of six bibenzyls isolated from Dendrobium species on vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-induced tube formation in human umbilical vascular endothelial cells (HUVECs). All those bibenzyls inhibited VEGF-induced tube formation at 10 micromol x L(-1) except tristin, and of which moscatilin was found to have the strongest activity at the same concentration. The lowest effective concentration of moscatilin was 1 micromol x L(-1). Further results showed that moscatilin inhibited VEGF-induced capillary-like tube formation on HUVECs in a concentration-dependent manner. Western blotting results showed that moscatilin also inhibited VEGF-induced phosphorylation of VEGFR2 (Flk-1/KDR) and extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2 (ERK1/2). Further results showed that moscatilin inhibited VEGF-induced activation of c-Raf and MEK1/2, which are both upstream signals of ERK1/2. Taken together, results presented here demonstrated that moscatilin inhibited angiogenesis via blocking the activation of VEGFR2 (Flk-1/KDR) and c-Raf-MEK1/2-ERK1/2 signals.

Objective To observe the changes and relationships of glucose (Glu),insulin(Ins) ,insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) in newborn infant with hypixic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) and the protective role which Ins,IGF-1 worked on neuron.Methods HIE 50 cases,the quantity of IGF-1 in serum was detected by radioimmunoassay,the quantity of Ins in serum was detected by chemiluminescent immunoassay,the quantity of glucose in serum was detected by the instrument with type of Rokangquan TM accutive.The umbilical vein blood 2 mL were drawn from 20 cases of controls after birth.The indexes were detected by the same methods.Results 1.In acute period,the level of serum IGF-1 reduced obviously in newborn infants with HIE,and Glu increased obviously.There was a negative correlation between IGF-1 and Glu.The changes related with neonate complications.In rehabilited pe riod,the Glu get to normal,the IGF-1 was a little higher than that in acute period.but it still was lower than that of control group.There was negative correlation between IGF-1 and Glu.2.The level of Ins in serum of newborn infants with HIE had no obvious changes compairing with control group in acute period and rehabilited period.It had no relations with Glu,Ins.Conclusions It approves that IGF-1 and Glu in serum of newborn infants with HIE have obviously changed.This result will provide an academic base on treatment of HIE.

Objective To investigate effect of dexmedetomidine on postoperative analgesia pump dose and effect.Methods 50 cases of patients with abdominal surgery under general anesthesia were selected.According to the postoperative analgesic drugs were divided into control group and experimental group, 25 cases in each group were given corresponding drug treatment.After treatment, the visual analogue scale, comfort score, adverse reaction rate and dosage of analgesic drugs were detected and compared.Results Compared with the control group,the VAS score were lower(P <0.05),the BCS score were higher(P<0.05),the adverse reaction rate were lower(P<0.05),the dosage of analgesic pump were lower(P<0.05). Conclusion Dexmedetomidine can significantly reduce postoperative pain degree of patients, reduce the incidence of adverse reaction, reduce analgesic dosage of the drug pump.

Objective To study the impact of QseBC on the motility of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhi ( S.Typhi ) . Methods The motility of wild-type ( WT) and null mutants (ΔqseB and ΔqseC) at mid-log phase was investigated by swimming assay.Quantitative RT-PCR was carried out to calculate the transcriptional variation of flhD and qseB among WT,ΔqseB andΔqseC.QseB overexpressing strain was constructed to compare its motility and flhD expression with the wild-type control.Results The result of motility assay showed that the motility of ΔqseB was similar to that of the WT strain , while the motility of ΔqseC was much lower than that of WT .qRT-PCR revealed that compared with WT , the expression of flhD was significantly decreased in ΔqseC while the expression of qseB was increased considerably .The motility of QseB overex-pressing strain was lower .Conclusion The expression of flhD may be regulated by QseBC which has an effect on the motil-ity of S.typhi, and the overexpression of QseB may inhibit the motility .

Objective:To study the effectiveness of inferior pole fracture of patella treating by the new tension band.Methods:From Dec.2011 to Dec.2013, 21 patients with inferior pole fracture of patella were treated with the new tension band which consisted of cannulated screw, titanium cable and shims. There were 21 patients[10 males, 11 females, the average age was 54 years(21 to 79)],of whom,all were“fell on knees”.Results:The average operation time was 89 min (57-197 min),the follow-up visits were done from 7-31 months ( average 18 months) , the bone healing time was from 8-12 weeks (average 10.5 weeks).The post operation assessment was done by Bostman score, from 20 -30 (average 27),10 excellent,and 11 good.No complication occurred.Conclusion:The new tension band is the effective treatment for inferior pole fracture of patella.The internal fixation is reliable, it is simple to operate, and patients can take exercises as early as possible.Therefore, the new tension band has a bet-ter clinical value.

ABSTRACT:OBJECTIVE In metabonomics method based on liquid mass combination of dampness stagnancy due to spleen deficiency model and normal control group rats urine,To explore the differences metabolites in the urine of the model rats. METHODS The model of spleen deficiency and dampness stagnancy in rats was induced with high-fat and low-protein diet plus exhaustive swimming methods.Using high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)-quadrupole-time of flight tandem mass spectrometer technique to detect the small molecule metabolites in urine samples in the 2 groups,Metabolic fingerprint as prin-cipal component analysis and partial least squares discriminant analysis,find out the differences of characteristics of metabo-lites.RESULTS Compared with the control group,the urine of rats in model group identified 6 different metabolites,respec-tively:alpha keto glutarate,citrulline,lactic acid,glutamine,citric acid,serotonin.CONCLUSION Dampness stagnancy due to spleen deficiency model rats body sugar and protein metabolism in disorder,energy supply,gastrointestinal function drops, antioxidant ability,its mechanism may be related to the change of the small molecule metabolites.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the relationship between Arg778Leu/Gln gene mutation spot in ATP7B and TCM Syndrome type in Chinese patients with Wilson disease (WD).

METHODSExon 8 of ATP7B of 90 WD patients and 30 healthy controls were amplified by PCR and analysed by restriction enzyme Msp I, the TCM Syndrome type of the patients was differentiated at the same time.

RESULTSIn the 90 WD patients, 34 with Arg778Leu/Gln of exon 8 were detected, among them 20 cases belonged to the TCM Syndrome type of endogenous Liver-Wind agitation.

CONCLUSIONOnset age of WD patients with Arg778Leu/Gln mutation is later than that without this mutation. Arg778Leu/Gln mutation might be related to the TCM Syndrome type of endogenous Liver-Wind agitation.

ObjectiveTo explore the clinical results of endoscopic resection of the frontal benign tumors.MethodsNineteen cases of benign tumors in the frontal area were rcsected using endo scopic techniques.The tumors were diagnosed as benign according to complaint,history and physical examination.ResultsAll 19 tumors were totally resected.The pathological examination revealed 11cases of lipoma,3 cases of sebaceous cyst,3 cases of sebaceous cyst and 2 cases of dermoid cyst.During 6 months to 2 years of follow-up,no tumor recurred.Local concavity was noticed in all patients but all resolved within 6 months except 2 patients.They received granular fat graft of the concavities 6months late and were satisfied with the results.ConclusionsBenign tumors near eyebrows and in glabella area can be treated by minimally invasive endoscopic technique.Compared with traditional surgery,this technique offers inconspicuous scar and fast recovery.

ObjectiveTo explore the change of spino-pelvic parameters following pedicle subtraction osteotomy (PSO) for thoracolumbar kyphosis secondary to ankylosing spondylitis(AS).MethodsTwenty-one AS patients with thoracolumbar kyphosis,who underwent PSO at L1 level from July 2006 to October 2010 in our hospital,were retrospectively reviewed.There were 18 males and 3 females with a mean age of 35.6 years (range,21-53 years).The pre- and post-operative thoracic kyphosis(TK),lumbar lordosis (LL),globe kyphosis (GK),angle of the fusion levels (AFL),sagittal imbalance (SVA),pelvic incidence (PI),sacral slope (SS) and pelvic tilting (PT) were measured.ResultsSignificant differences were observed in terms of the improvement of LL,PT,SS,SVA,GK and AFL (P＜ 0.01).The alteration of LL showed significant correlation with the change of PT (r=0.59,P=0.005),SS (r=0.64,P=0.002),SVA (r=0.49,P=0.025),and AFL (r=0.60,P=0.004).The change of PT exhibited cardinal correlation with the change of SS(r=0.94,P=0.000).The improvement of AFL significantly correlated with the improvement of SS(r=0.61,P=0.003),PT (r=0.59,P=0.005).ConclusionThe change of the sagittal spino-pelvic profile following PSO in AS-related thoracolumbar kyphosis is closely related with the improvement of LL.
