Objective:

To explore the underlying mechanisms that influence mental health, a critical question is whether different types of coping strategies may mediate the relationships between COVID-19 related stress and mental health.
Methods:
Recruited between October 19 and 24, 2021, a total of 500 participants aged 20 to 69 years completed an online survey to evaluate the COVID-19 stress, coping orientation, depression and state anxiety. The period corresponded to the highest level of COVID-19 restrictions (level 4) immediately before the adjusted restriction to level 3. Parallel mediation analyses were conducted using structural equation modeling.
Results:
Distinct mediation effects of the COVID-19 stress (i.e., fear of infection, difficulties of social distancing, anger toward others) through three types of coping strategies (i.e., functional, dysfunctional, seeking support) were found. Fear of infection was likely to be related to functional coping and dysfunctional coping. Social distancing model indicated dysfunctional coping and seeking support, while anger toward others model was associated with functional coping and seeking support.
Conclusion
The results highlight the different relationships between COVID-19 stress and mental health coping strategies. The identification of these mediation pathways offers guidance for designing effective interventions and support systems to promote psychological well-being during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic.

5.A Case of Widespread Dermatophytosis during Interleukin-17A Inhibitor Treatment in Psoriasis Patient with Tinea Unguium

Interleukin-17 (IL-17) is secreted by a class of helper T cells called Th17 cells, which stimulates keratinocytes to secrete proinflammatory mediator and to recruit other inflammatory cells in psoriatic skins. IL-17A inhibitor was approved for the management of psoriatic arthritis by FDA. It is the one of the biologics approved as first-line therapy for the management of psoriasis. But several studies show some side effects of IL-17A inhibitor such as upper respiratory infection and fungal infection like Candida albicans. Herein we report a widespread dermatophytosis during IL-17A inhibitor treatment. A 66-year-old male patient, with tinea unguium and chronic plaque psoriasis for several decades, presented with multiple erythematous scaly macules and patches for 2 weeks. He medicated IL-17A inhibitor for treating psoriasis total 3 times and last injection was 1 week ago. Dermatological examination revealed the involvement of 20% body surface area in the form of erythematous scaly macules and patches. KOH mount revealed the presence of numerous hyphae. The patient was started on oral terbinafine, topical isoconazole and efinaconazole. His skin lesions were improved after 1 month of anti-fungal therapy. IL-17 plays an important role in mucocutaneous microbial defense. So, fungal infection should be checked in using IL-17A inhibitor patients periodically.
7.Synthesis of Cyclen-Based Copper Complexes as a Potential Estrogen Receptor Ligand.

PURPOSE: The estrogen receptor (ER), which is over-expressed in ER-positive breast tumors, has been imaged by positron emission tomography (PET) using [18F] labeled estrogen ligands, especially [18F]FES. However, [18F] has relatively short-lived half-life (t1/2=1.8 h) and the labeling yield of radio-fluorination is usually low compared with 64Cu (t1/2=12.7 h). 1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane (cyclen) is used to form stable metal complexes with copper, indium, gallium, and gadolinium. With these in mind, we prepared cyclen-based Cu complexes which mimic estradiol in aspect of two hydroxyl groups. MATERIALS AND METHODS: 1,7-Protected cyclen, 1,7-bis (benzyloxycarbonyl)-cyclen was synthesized according to the reported procedure. After introducing two 4-benzyloxybenzyl groups at 4,10-positions, the benzyloxycarbonyl and benzyl groups were removed at the same time by hydrogenation on Pd/C to give 1,7-bis(4-hydroxybenzyl)-1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane (1). RESULTS: The prepared ligand 1 was fully characterized by 1H, 13C NMR, and mass spectrometer. The synthesized ligand was reacted with copper chloride and copper perchlorate to give copper complexes [Cu(1)]2+2(ClO4-) and [Cu(1)Cl]+Cl- which were confirmed by high-resolution mass (FAB). CONCLUSION: We successfully synthesized a cyclen derivative of which two phenol groups are located on trans position of N-atoms. And, two Cu(II) complexes of +2 and +1 overall charge, were prepared as a potential PET tracers for ER imaging.

A human skull was discovered at the 16th-century drainage channel of market district ruins, one of the busiest streets in the capital of Joseon kingdom. By anthropological examination, we noticed the cut mark at the right occipital part of the cranium. Judging from the wound property, it might have been caused by a strong strike using a sharp-edged weapon. As no periosteal reaction or healing signs were observed at the cut mark, he might have died shortly after the skull wound was made. We speculated that this might have been of a civilian or soldier victim who died in a battle or the decapitated head of prisoner. This is the first report about the discovery of the skull damaged by sharp-edged weapon at the archaeological sites in the capital city of Joseon Kingdom.

9.Prevalence of and Factors Associated with School Bullying in Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder: A Cross-Cultural Meta-Analysis

Through this meta-analysis, we sought to examine the prevalence of, risks for, and factors associated with bullying involvement (victimization, perpetration, perpetration-victimization) among students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Additionally, we attempted to examine sources of variance in the prevalence and effect sizes of bullying in students with ASD across studies. Systematic database and literature review identified 34 relevant studies (31 for Western countries, three for Eastern countries). Pooled prevalence estimates for victimization, perpetration, and perpetration-victimization in general were 67%, 29%, and 14%, respectively.The risk of victimization in students with ASD was significantly higher than that in typically developing students and students with other disabilities. Further, deficits in social interaction and communication, externalizing symptoms, internalizing symptoms, and integrated inclusive school settings were related to higher victimization, and externalizing symptoms were related to higher perpetration. Finally, moderation analyses revealed significant variations in the pooled prevalences thereof depending on culture, age, school settings, and methodological quality and in the pooled effect sizes according to publication year and methodological quality. Our results highlight needs for bullying intervention for students with ASD, especially those who are younger, are in an inclusive school setting, and have higher social difficulties and externalizing/internalizing symptoms; for intensive research of bullying experiences among students with ASD in Eastern countries; and for efforts to improve the methodological quality of such research.
10.Effects of Anti-thyroglobulin Antibody on the Measurement of Thyroglobulin: Differences Between Immunoradiometric Assay Kits Available.

PURPOSE: Thyroglobulin (Tg) is a valuable and sensitive tool as a marker for diagnosis and follow-up for several thyroid disorders, especially, in the follow-up of patients with differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC). Often, clinical decisions rely entirely on the serum Tg concentration. But the Tg assay is one of the most challenging laboratory measurements to perform accurately owing to antithyroglobulin antibody (Anti-Tg). In this study, we have compared the degree of Anti-Tg effects on the measurement of Tg between availale Tg measuring kits. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Measurement of Tg levels for standard Tg solution was performed with two different kits commercially available (A/B kits) using immunoradiometric assay technique either with absence or presence of three different concentrations of Anti-Tg. Measurement of Tg for patient's serum was also performed with the same kits. Patient's serum samples were prepared with mixtures of a serum containing high Tg levels and a serum containg high Anti-Tg concentrations. RESULTS: In the measurements of standard Tg solution, presence of Anti-Tg resulted in falsely lower Tg level by both A and B kits. Degree of Tg underestimation by A kit was more prominent than B kit. The degree of underestimation by B kit was trivial therefore clinically insignificant, but statistically significant. Addition of Anti-Tg to patient serum resulted in falsely lower Tg levels with only A kit. CONCLUSION: Tg level could be underestimated in the presence of anti-Tg. Anti-Tg effect on Tg measurement was variable according to assay kit used. Therefore, accuracy test must be performed for individual Tg-assay kit.
