1.An implant-supported removable partial denture on milled bars to compromise the inadequate treatment plan: a clinical report.
The Journal of Advanced Prosthodontics 2010;2(2):58-60
Presurgical prosthetic treatment planning is critical for the success of the implant prosthesis. Inadequate treatment plan, due to insufficient discussion between prosthodontist, and surgeon, may result in poor prognosis. A 26-year-old male patient was referred for prosthodontic treatment after implant was placed in the area of teeth #17, 16, 22, 25 and 27, without adequate discussion nor the treatment planning between oral surgeon and prosthodontist. It was found that the patient had two hopeless teeth, and a severely resorbed alveolar ridge. Additional tooth extraction was needed and the type of definitive prosthesis was shifted from fixed type to removable one. Proper pre-surgical treatment planning is essential for the good prognosis. Implant-supported removable prosthesis on milled bars may be a useful treatment option in patients with incorrect angled placement on severely resorbed alveolar ridge.

3.The Combined Effect of Autologous Fat Injection and Liposculpture for Gluteal Reshaping in Koreans.
Journal of the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons 2011;38(6):861-866
PURPOSE: Together with the breast, buttocks are an important element of attractive body contour. To make a beautiful buttocks, improvement of body contour around the buttock as well as buttock augmentation and lifting is also important. The authors investigated characteristic features of buttocks in Koreans and report about the results of liposculpture and autologous fat injection for improving buttock's contour. METHODS: We performed a retrospective study of 21 patients who would like to gluteal reshaping. We checked about buttock's ptosis, projection, depression, gluteal retraction and excessive fat accumulation around buttocks. Depending on it, we performed liposculpture and autologous fat injection. Under general anesthesia, we harvested fat from excessive fat accumulation areas around buttocks, and injected into buttocks medio-superiorly. Postoperatively, pillows were positioned on the bed not to press the buttocks which were injected with the fat. RESULTS: Based on the shape of buttocks, A-shape is seen in 4 cases(19%), V-shape 3 cases(14%), square-shape 9 cases(43%), round-shape 5 cases(24%). Based on the Gonzalez's ptosis grading method, 1 degree ptosis is 1 case(4%), 2 degree ptosis is 6 cases(29%), 3 degree ptosis is 8 cases(38%), 4 degree ptosis is 6 cases(29%). There were no complications such as infection, hematoma, pain, dysparethesia. The subjective assessment of surgical results by patients was excellent. CONCLUSION: To make a beautiful buttock, improvement of body contour around the buttock as well as buttock augmentation and lifting is also important. Liposculpture and autologous fat grafting are very safe, useful and easy methods for improving buttock's contour.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1984;22(2):191-195
As the incidence of dermographism in our urticaria clinie is quite high comparing data in other country, we have tried to survey the incidence of ermographism in the general population of Korea using a dermographic tester designed by other author. Total 8g7 healthy persons were included in this study from March J98$ to .December 1983. The study result was summarized as follows, 1. Male to female ratio was 2. 5: 1 and the peak age of the subjects was third(47 8%), fourth and fith decades in ecreasing order, The overall incidence of dermographisrn from the pressure of 48ppg/cm was 4.4% and there were no significa.nt difference in the incidences between male(4, 2%) and female(4 7%) (p>0. 1), and between the different age groups(p>0 l)

7.An implant-supported removable partial denture for a patient with post-inflammatory scar contracture caused by burn complications: a clinical report.
The Journal of Advanced Prosthodontics 2012;4(1):57-59
The scars and contracture around the oral-facial region may cause difficulty in prosthodontic treatment to restore esthetics and function for the patients, who suffered severe burns. This article presents a technique that uses a fixed partial denture prepared with a conventional milling technique and an attachment to support anterior cantilever removable partial denture, thereby providing a more esthetically acceptable and functional result.

9.Genetic association study of single nucleotide polymorphism in dentistry.
The Journal of Korean Academy of Prosthodontics 2011;49(4):341-345
Genetic association study has been progressed in medicine along with advance in genetic technology. It focused on the individual differences in genotype due to errors occurring during DNA duplication, which can cause vulnerability to specific diseases. Polymorphism defines the varieties in phenotype due to those genetic variations. Polymorphism due to change in one DNA base sequence is called as a Single Nucleotide Polymorphism. In the near future, the evaluation of relative risk to specific disease according to SNP will be essential part of fundamental of medicine for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention. Dental caries and periodontal diseases has been first subject to genetic association study in dentistry and broaden out to other areas like bone formation and resorption. This article presents the current state of genetic association study and its application to dentistry.

Journal of Acute Care Surgery 2021;11(3):114-120
Purpose:
Intraoperative cardiac arrest (IOCA) is rare, unpredictable, and may result in a poor outcome. The features of IOCA during cancer surgery and factors related to survival following an IOCA were examined.
Methods:
This was a retrospective study of patients who had cancer surgery under general anesthesia between March 2009 and March 2021 (n = 84,615) to determine the number of patients who had an IOCA. Patients’ clinical information, cause of IOCA, hypoxemia during anesthesia, and the duration of hypotension and CPR were analyzed.
Results:
A total of 22 cases of IOCA occurred during cancer surgery (overall incidence: 2.6 per 10,000 surgeries). Return of spontaneous circulation was achieved in 17 patients, but only 13 survived until discharge. There were statistically significant differences between the deceased and the survival cancer patient groups in; (1) duration of hypoxemia (survival group: 5 minutes, range: 2-18 minutes; deceased group: 60 minutes, range, 22.5-120 minutes; p = 0.019); (2) duration of hypotension (survival group: 35 minutes, range, 15-55 minutes; deceased group 160 minutes, range, 140-185 minutes; p = 0.007); and (3) total duration of CPR (survival group: 3 minutes, range: 1-15 minutes; deceased group: 40 minutes, range: 19-149 minutes; p = 0.005).
Conclusion
The duration of hypoxemia and hypotension prior to the onset of IOCA, as well as the duration of CPR were associated with the prognosis of IOCA, highlighting the need to reduce multiorgan damage caused by hypoxemia and hypotension during surgery in high-risk patients.
