Korean Journal of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy 1990;10(1):41-45
We studied prospectively on the grade of severity of reflux gastritis after Billroth- I (15 patients and B-II (66 patients) using gastrofiberscopy mostly 3~4 montsh after operations from December 1988 to February. The grade of severity af gastritis was arbitarily defined as follows; Grade 0-almost no reflux of bile and no redness on gastric mucosa. Grade 1-mild redness of the mucosa limited within an inch from anastomotic line. Giade 2-Edema and mucosal redness involves almost one half of remaining gastric mucosa. Grade 3-the above cbanges involves most of remnant gastric mucosa. Gtade 4-in addition to grade 3, friability of mucosa and/or, erosions is noted. Grade 5- ulceraitions of mucosa in addition to the above changes. Using the above defined criteria, we obtained the following results; 1) there was no rieflux gastritis in one patient in B- I group and remainders have varing grades of reflux gastritis, ie; 93% (14/15) (see Table 2). 2) In B- II reconstructed patients, grade 0 was 2 patients and remainder had reflux gastrits, ie; 96% (64/66) (see table 4). 3) Grade 5 patients have ulcerations in the esophagus and grade 2 changes in the stomach.

Authors' presented an interesting case, 19 years old boy, who was been suffered from retinal periphlebitis of both eyes which thought to be induced by Barre Syndrome. This patient also has pulmonary tuberculosis and visual symptoms of Barre Syndrome in this case were ocular pain and visual disturbance that appeared and disappeared suddenly due probably to irritation of the ventral nerve roots (C5 to T1) with also irritation of sympathetic fibers contained in them.

Journal of the Korean Radiological Society 1985;21(3):445-453
9 cases of criss-cross heart anomaly, diagnosed by angiography from April, 1979 to Feb. 1985 at Seoul National University Hospital were reviewed. The results were as follows: 1. Of 9 cases, 6 cases were male and 3 cases werefemale and the age ranged from 2 months to 16 years of age. 2. Of 9 cases, 7 cases were concordant (D-loop) and 2cases were discordant (L-loop). segmental approaches are 2 cases of SDD(TGV) and each one case of SLD(TGV),SDD(DORV), SDL(DORV), SDD(DOLV), SLL(corrected TGV), and normal one. 3. Associated anomalies are small sized rightventricle (7 cases), especially inflow tract and sinus portion, pulmonary outflow tract obstruction(5 cases),VSD(9 cases), ASD( 7 cases), PDA(2 cases) and visceroatrial situs solitus was observed in all 9 cases but 1dextrocardia.

We experienced a case of adenocarcinoma arising in sacrococcygeal teratoma. The patient was a 52-year-old woman. She was admitted due to one month of sacral pain. She had a sacral mass since birth. On physical examination, anal fistula was present at the perianal area and pus drainage was noted. MR image showed multiple variable-sized cysts with inhomogeneous density. Resected specimen, mesuring 12.5 7.0 cm in diameter, showed multiple variable-sized cystic lesions admixed with grayish solid portion. The cysts contained mucoid material. The microscopic examination showed mature teratoma composed of cysts lined by pseudostratified ciliated columnar epithelium, intestinal mucosa, mature cartilage, bone, and fat tissue. A moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma developed from the cystic area in the mass.
