For the purpose of ascertaining the status of physical growth and health status of the University students, an intensive survey was conducted by the authors towards a total of 1,250 (Male 792, Female 458) who passed the written entrance examination at the Kyung Hee University in 1972. The items included the measurements on physical growth, various physical and nutritional indices, status of visual distourbance, dental status and tuberculosis. The findings and results can be summarized as follows ; 1. Physical Growth and Development. i) The average of body height by anthropometric was 169.39+/-5.05cm in male and 157.45+/-4.43cm in female. ii) The averages of body weight by sex were 59.42+/-6.47Kg and 51.81+/-5.21Kg, respectively. iii) The averages of chest-girth were 87.18+/-5.30cm and 80.51+/-4.53cm. iv) The averages of sitting-height were 92.21+/-2.79cm and 86.28+/-2.57cm. In all cases the male measurements were higher than female. 2. Various ludices about Physical Growth and Development; i) Relative body weight by sex were 35.08and 32.91, relative chestgirth 51.47 and 51.13, and relative sitting-height 54.43, 54.79, respectively. ii) Rohrer index was 1.222 in males and 1.327 in females, Kaup index 2.071 and 2.089, Verveck index 86.54 and 84.04, and Pelidisi index 91.15 and 93.08, respectively. 3. Status of visual distourbance. The vision of the students under 0.8 with Landolt's testing chart was 45.4% in left eye and 46.6% in right eye (male : 44.4% and 45.7%, female : 47.2% and 48.0%), while under 0.6in both visions was 41.0% and 40.5% (male 40.8% and 40.7%, female : 41.5% and 40.2%),respectively. 4. Dental Status. Out of total 19.4% (male 19.2%, female 19.6%) had gingivitis, the female incidence rate of gingivitis was higher than male. Average number of teeth in each subjects was 29.6 teeth; male had 29.9 teeth and female had 29.1 teeth. The caries rate was 78.9%(male 75.6%, female 84.5%), the female caries rate was higher than male. The average number of i) Caries per tooth rate was 8.5% in male and 9.2% in female, ii) Missing per tooth rate was 0.3% and 0.2%, iii) Filling per tooth rate was 3.9% and 4.2%, in all cases, the female incidences were higher than the male. The average number of D.M.F. was 3.8 teeth in male and 4.0 teeth in female, female was higher than male. The average rate of D.M.F. was 12.7% in male and 13.7 in female, female was higher than male. 5. Pulmonary infiltration. Among the total, 53 students were diagnosed as pulmonary infiltration (tuberculosis), of whom 51 were minimal cases, one were moderately advanced case and one were far advanced case.

Korean Journal of Urology 1985;26(2):179-181
Malakoplakia of the bladder is an extremely rare condition in which there are multiple round or oval, plaque like or occasionally polypoid projections of the mucosa and submucosa which may be mistaken for cancer. It is believed to be infectious in origin, secondary to a deficiency of intracellular lysosomal digestion. There is often a clinical history of urinary tract infection, and the condition is considered to be an atypical form of granulomatous response to Gram negative coliform infection. We report a case of malakoplakia of the bladder clinically simulating malignant tumor, which was treated successfully with transurethral resection and antibiotics.

Journal of the Korean Neurological Association 1993;11(2):265-270
Myoclonic-astatic epilepsy is an epileptic syndrome characterized bv the presence of myoclonic and astatic seizures. It is a rare generalized epilepsy of childhood and represents 1 to 2% of epilepsis in children up to the age of 9 years. In addition to myoclonic and astatic seizures, generalized tonic-clonic seizure, tonic seizure and absence status (non-convulsive status) can be combined. Non-convulsive status can produce apathetic and stuporous appearance. We represent 4-year-old boy who showed nonconvulsive status of myoclonic-astatic epilepsy with typical clinical and eleckoencephalographic characteristics.

Journal of the Korean Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery 1997;3(1):11-22
The chin plays a decisive role in the contour of the lower face. And harmonious jaw will correspond to good facial profile and positive image. Osseous genioplasty is a widely used method to correct the 3-dimensional(sagittal, vertical, tranverse) deformity of the chin with minimal complications. During an 8 year period from 1988, the authors at the In-Je University Seoul Paik Hospital experienced 198 patients of osseous genioplasty. Results of clinical analysis are as follows : 1) Male to female ratio was 1 : 3 with female being predoniment. The average age was 24.9 years. 2) Horizontal advancement genioplasty in 169 cases was the most common procedure with 7.0mm of average advancement. There was 4 cases of horizontal retrusion with average retrusion of 4.3mm. 52 cases had vertical augmentation with average of 7.5mm increase. 9 cases had vertical reduction with average redution of 4.9mm. 3) Although malocclusion is not necessarilly contraindication to genioplasty alone, genioplasty following surgical with or without orthodontical correction of malocclusion is the way to get better result with patient satisfaction. 4) 77% of the patients had adjunctive procedures simultaneously to acheive a better contour and profile 5) Complications such as hematoma, infection, fracture, nerve damage were minimal.

The Journal of the Korean Orthopaedic Association 1979;14(3):407-411
Fibromatosis in childhood is a rare tumor and also prone to aggressive behavior. This tumor may spread to involve contiguous soft parts and osseous structures, but does not metastasize. We experienced a case of fibromatosis in an 12-year-old giri who complained of palpable masses in the region of the right buttock and right foot. The case has been followed for 6-years since February 1973. Bony change has occured even after several attempts of surgical excision but a distant metastasis has not occured.

The Journal of the Korean Orthopaedic Association 1979;14(3):403-406
Intraosseous Neurilemmomas are very rare tumor and most of them are arose in the mandibular bone. A case report is made on the intraosseous neurilemmoma in the distal shaft of tibia which belong very rarely seen in the area of bone. The case was a 23 year old male who had multicystic lesion on the distal shaft of right tibia with marginal this sclerotic change on the radiological examination. The lesion of intraosseous neurilemmoma was confirmed by the microscopic examination after surgical treatment of curettage and bone graft. Also a review of literature on the neurilemmoma was made and reported.
