1.Localized Trichorrhexis Nodosa.
Annals of Dermatology 1995;7(1):86-87
A 37-year-old male with localized trichorrhexis nodosa on the scalp is described. Two circumscribed broken hair patches that had occurred as a consequence of repetitive friction trauma were seen on both retroauricular areas of scalp. Scanning electron microscopic findings revealed typical trichorrhexis nodosa.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1994;32(4):655-661
BACKGROUND: Topical vitamine D analogues have been reported to bean effective treatment in patients with psoriasis. Calcipotriol, a new vitamin D analogue, is effect ve and at least 100 times less calcemic than calcitriol. OBJECTIVE: Our purpose was to study the clinical efficacy, safety and tolerability of calcipotriol ointment in the treatment of psoriasis. METHODS: Twenty five patients with chronic poriasis were treated with calcipotriol ointment(50pg/g) twice daily. Efficacy as meaaured by the clinical degree of erythcimor, scale and thickness of the lesions, and safety were assessecl every 2 weeks. RESULTS: The total score of erythema, scale and thickness of the lesions decreased in 6 weeks from 8.52+0.76 to 3.80+1.7 with calcipotriol. Some patients developed mild and transient local side effects. The laboratory tests including serum calcium remained unchanged. CONCLUSION: Topical applicalion of calcipotriol ointment for 6 week was found to bean effective and safe treatment of psoriasis vulgaris.

Journal of the Korean Ophthalmological Society 1967;8(3):37-41
A case of Osteogenic sarcoma arised from orbit 4 years after the radiation therapy for retinoblastoma in a 9 years old girl is presented. 4 Years ago, under the diagnosis of retinoblastoma, the left orbital exenteration was performed and was treated with x-ray radiation giving 4.500 gamma tumor dose in 4, weeks. On admission, the left orbital cavity was filled with hard mass and orbital bone revealed extensive destruction with osteoplastic changes on x-ray, and diffuse sarcomatous growth of anaplastic cells with abundant osteogenesis and osteoclastic activity microscopically. It is of authors' opinion that osteogenic sarcoma of orbital bone in this presented case might developed by irradition on retinoblastoma.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1981;19(3):319-323
Neurilemmoma reprsents a benign nerve sheath tumor derived from Schwann cells. Lesions almost always are solitary, although multiple lesions may occur in association with multiple neurofibromatosis. We report a case of multiple neurilemmomas not in asaociation with neurofibromatosis. The patient was a 28-year-old male who had multiple tender nodules along the course of peripheral nerves on the palmar aspect of the right hand. A local excision of all lesions was performed and the microscopic diagnosis of neurilernmoma was established.

Journal of the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons 1997;24(3):495-502
A multitude of methods for correction of the residual cleft lip nose deformity have been developed. Inspite of the development it appears that no one procedure has achieved satisfactory results. In addition, the appropriate timing for surgical correction still remains unsettled. The philtrum plays a keyhole in the appearance of the upper lip and nostril sill. But the formation of philtrum with muscle flap or conchal cartilage have been resulted in a unsatisfactory aesthetic outcome. We performed 26 cases of the correction of unilateral cleft lip nose deformity between May 1993 and September 1996, and we always used autogenous palmaris longus tendon for reconstruction of philtral column and nostril sill augmentation. Palmaris longus tendon creates a more definite philtral unit comparing to other materials which have been used and it is easy to harvest and transfer and it does not affect normal function of the hand. And we followed up all patients and confirmed that disappearance of newly formed philtrum is rare. In conclusion, this study shows that autogenous palmaris longus tendon is a useful material for reconstruction of philtral column.

Herein we report a case of lentigo maligna that evolved into lentigo maligna melanoma. Fifteen years ago, the patient developed a pigmented lesion on the right cheek. The lesion progressed slowly, and 2 months ago, a black nodular lesion was developed in the periphery of the pigmented lesion. Histopathologic examination of the lesions revealed findings consistent with lentigo maligna and lentigo maligna melanorna. She had been performed wide excision and cheek flap for reconstruction.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1974;12(4):255-258
We presented a case of acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis (Sweet's syndrome) in 57 years-old female. This case is the 31 st case in the literature and the first case in Korea. Erythematous plaque was presented on the face with tendency of recurrences. Histologically a dense inflammatory cell infiltration composed predominantly of polymorphonuclear neutrophiles, lmphocytes and histiocytes was seen in dermis. Positive laboratory findings were polymorphonuclear leukocytosis and elevated ESR. The symptoms were well centrolled with orally administered preclnisolone.

9.Adenomatoid Mesothelioma of the Epididymis: A case report.

Korean Journal of Pathology 1993;27(4):387-391
Adenomatoid tumors are well-recognized neoplasms generally to be of mesothelial derivation. We experienced a case of an adenomatoid tumor of the tail of the epididymis in a 56-year-old male. Grossly the tumor was firm and whitish gray, and microscopically it consisted of glandular, cord-like, microcystic structures which were lined by flattened endothelial like to plump cuboidal cells. Immunohistochemical stains whowed positivity for keratin and negativity for facter VIII related antigen and carcinoembryonic antigen. Ultrastructually, there was many long microvilli projecting into the glandular lumina and intracytoplasmic luminal spaces, desmosomes, and prominent cytoplasmic tonofilaments. Those findings strongly support the mesothelial origin of the adenomatoid tumor especially in the glandular type. It also lead us to suggest that the term adenomatoid tumor should be remain in use for light microscopic diagnosis, and that the term adenomatoid mesothelioma should be applied when the mesothelial nature of an adenomatoid tumor is proven by electron microscopy and immunohistochemical stains.

Korean Journal of Anesthesiology 1984;17(4):278-280
Transient hyperkalemia has been reported to occur in eletric burn patients following intravenous administration of succinylcholine. We have studied the origin of the elevated serum K+ concentration after injection of succinylcholine from both the non-burned area and from the burned area in electirc burn patients. Blood samples for serum K+ measurement were drawn 1,2,3,4,5 and 10 minutes after administration of succinylcholine from both the burned are and the non-burned area in 6 electric burn patients. The following results were obtained: 1) Serum K+ levels increased in the burned group in 3 minutes after injection of succinylcholine. 2) The serum K+ concentration of venous samples from the electric burn area were more increased than from the non-burned area injection of succinylcholine.
