Journal of Chongqing Medical University 2003;0(06):-
Objective:To explore the influence of background data in multinutrient treatment for neonate with infection pneumonia. To study the relative risk factors in VA nutritional state. Methods:the orally vitamin A and vitamin E,zinc, selenite daily in 111 neonates in the randomized,double-blind, placebo-controlled,clinical Trial for 7 days treatment. We investigated and analyze the relevant biochemical, immune evidence, clinic data and background data, with multivariate stepwise regression analysis. Results:Mother’s age, parity, gestation age and birth weight play positive influence to clinical restoring. Neonate’s age and birth weight play a positive role to serum IgM in early stage of pneumonia, but mother’ s age is negativity. Neonate’s age is positivity in enhancing serum VA,and is negativity in advancing serum IgM. Mother’s age play a negative role to heighten serum RBP. Conclusion:Mother’s age, parity, gestation age and neonate’s age is important factors to influence the clinical treatment effect. Great age and many parity mother’s neonate, earlier period and large for date infant are more possible to VAD during sick period, and are more slow to recover. So they need the nutritional intervention all the better.

Microbiology 1992;0(03):-
The ultrastructure of magnetotactic bacteria strain WD\|1 was reported.A thin sectioned profile of it clearly showed its cell wall, cell membrane,poly\|?\|hydroxybutyrates and magnetosomes.Meanwhile, the method of batch culture of strain WD\|1 was also reported,135mg/L dry cells could be gotten with this method. The energy profiles of X\|ray collected after electron excitation in SEM indicated that both dry cells and magnetosomes contained such mineral elements as P,S,Ca,Si,Al and Fe with different content. The iron content of its cells and magnetosomes was 3 07% and 84 57% respectively.
4.Effects of Xuebijing on the endotoxin-stimulated THP-1 cell line
Fudan University Journal of Medical Sciences 2010;37(2):153-156
Objective To study the effect of Xuebijing, a Chinese traditional medicine injection, on the THP-1 cells challenged by endotoxin, and to explore whether it induces endotoxin tolerance. Methods The THP-1 cells were pretreated with Xuebijing in different concentrations (10, 25, 50 mg/mL) and times (4, 12, 24 hours), and then challenged by endotoxin. The level of TNF-α in culture supernatant was detected by ELISA assay, and the expression of TLR4 and IRAK-M mRNA were detected by Real time-PCR technique. Results There was no significant difference in TNF-α level among all the groups (pretreated with different concentrations of Xuebijing for different time) (P>0.05). Only in 50 mg/mL Xuebijing group, TLR4 mRNA was 1.547-fold increase in 24 h than in 4 h group (P<0.05). Only when pretreated for 24 h, IRAK-M mRNA was 1.349-fold increase in 50 mg/mL Xuebijing group than in control group (P<0.05). However, there was no significant difference among other groups (P>0.05). Conclusions Xuebijing can not block the release of TNF-α from the THP-1 cells challenged by endotoxin;and it does not induce endotoxin tolerance. When pretreated with high concentration of Xuebijing for long time, the expression of both TLR4 and IRAK-M mRNA is up-regulated, but its significance is not yet clear.
5.Effect of Electroacupuncture plus Early Rehabilitation Training on Function Recovery after Surgery for Cervical Spinal Cord Injury
Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2015;(1):43-44
Objective To investigate the effect of electroacupuncture plus early rehabilitation training on the function recovery after surgery for cervical spinal cord injury. Methods Sixty patients with cervical spinal cord injury undergone anterior cervical decompression and internal fixation were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 30 cases in each group. The treatment group was intervened by electroacupuncture plus rehabilitation training, while the control group was by rehabilitation training alone. The Frankel’s grading (FG), Barthel Index (BI), and Functional Independence Measure (FIM) were adopted for evaluation before and after intervention. Results The FG was not significantly changed after intervention in both groups (P>0.05). After intervention, there was no significant difference in comparing FG between the two groups (P>0.05). The BI and FIM scores were significantly changed after intervention in both groups (P<0.01). There were significant differences in comparing BI and FIM scores between the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion Electroacupuncture plus early rehabilitation training can promote the function recovery after surgery for cervical spinal cord injury, and improve the quality of life.
6.AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY USING INDOCIN TO INHIBIT THE OTOTOXICITY INDUCED BY FUROSEMIDE
Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1982;0(03):-
We have observed the protective effects of indocin (IND), a potent inhibitor of pro-sglandins (PGs), on ototoxicity induced by furosemide (FU) using the synchronous recording technique of endocochlear potential (EP) and auditory action potential(AP) in guinea pigs. The FU group were found to have a mean decrease in EP of 65.1?5.6mV and AP amplitude 91.5?10.2%. In contrast, the animals in the FU+IND group had a much smaller reduction of EP(17.5 ?3.8mV) and AP amplitude(31.1?4.7%). The rate of return in EP and AP was much faster in the FU+IND group as compared with the other group. Our findings suggest that the ototoxicity of FU may be related to the mediation of PGs in the inner ear target tissues. IND can interrupt an increase in endogenous PGs in cochlear tissues triggered by FU injection by inhibiting the biological synthesis of PGs, thus effectively diminishing the ototoxicity induced by FU.
7.Location of mycobacterium tuberculosis and induction on cellular immunity after intragastric administration of BCG in mice
Chinese Journal of Immunology 1986;0(04):-
Objective:To determine the location of mycobacterium tuberculosis(MTB) and whether the cellular immunity is induced after intragastric administration of BCG in mice. Methods:Viable MTB were detected in mesenteric lymph nodes?spleen and lungs at day 15,30 and 60 after intragastric administration of BCG to mice. The proliferation of T-lymphocyte with the stimulus of the purified protein derivative(PPD) was measured at day 60 and 90 after intragastric administration of BCG to mice. The expression of interleukin-2(IL-2) of T-lymphocyte in spleen was detected at day 60 and 90 after intragastric administration of BCG.Results:Viable MTB were detected in the mesenteric lymph nodes and spleen at day 15,30 and 60 after intragastric administration. At day 60 and 90 after intragastric administration of BCG to mice, the ratio of T-lymphocyte proliferation was 31.32%,37.94% separately and the production of IL-2 was 37.47?5.60 U/ml,39.41?7.73 U/ml separately. There were no statistically significant differences in the cellular immunity between the mice of the intragastric administration of BCG significant differences in the cellular immunity between the mice of the intragastric administration and the mice of the subcutaneous vaccination of BCG( P 0.05).Conclusion:Intragastric administration of BCG can induce cellular immunity in mice.

10.The mechanism of glutamine against liver injury
Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition 1997;0(02):-
Glutamine(Gln) is the most abundant free amino acid in the circulation. However, Gln depletion is obviously increased in critically ill patients. The liver plays a key role in glutamine metabolism since it can either generate or consume Gln. A number of studies have demonstrated that administration of Gln can protect from liver damage during sepsis or chemotherapy. The mechanism may be that glutamine can be more efficiently transported across cell membranes for glutathione synthesis. Supplement of Gln to PN has been proven to maintain intestinal integrity and reduce bacterial translocation. As a gluconeogenic amino acid, Gln can decrease the portal insulin/glucagon ratio and prevent hepatic steatosis through stimulating glucagon secretion.
