Infantile hepatic hemangioendotheliomas (IHHEs) are benign vascular tumors, but can be associated with the life-threatening complications, such as congestive heart failure, disseminated intravascular coagulation, and massive bleeding. Various therapeutic options have been developed and the treatment response depends on the patient's clinical status and the nature of the lesion. In the case of a symptomatic IHHE, a non-invasive and precise diagnosis should be performed promptly before the therapeutic method is chosen. Additionally, it should be kept in mind that the residual lesions have malignant potential. We report a case of a congenital giant IHHE that was successfully reduced in size by interferon-alpha and completely removed by surgical tumor resection with a hepatic lobectomy.

Classic Kaposi's sarcoma is a multicentric neoplastic tumor of endothelial cell origin and has a relatively benign course even if extracutaneous sites are involved. We report a case of classic Kaposi's sarcoma of a 68-year-old man who had tender, reddish nodules and purplish papules and macules on the right sole. The biopsy specimen showed typical findings consistent with Kaposi's sarcoma such as endothelial cell proliferation, spindle cells forming slit like spaces occupied by red blood cells and positive staining with CD 34 antibody in the endothelial cells. The patient was treated with six million units of interferon alfa three times per week for 6 months. Four months after a 6 month treatment course, histopathological findings on the resolving lesion didn't show any evidence of Kaposi's sarcoma.

Hypereosinophilic syndrome is a multisystem disorder with unexplained persistent eosinophilia and marked preference for systemic organ involvement. More than half of all patients have cutaneous involvement, usually presenting as angioedema, urticarial lesions, and eczematous, pruriginous papules. Hypereosinophilic syndrome presenting with generalized cutaneous blisters is rare, and we report the findings of a patient who was successfully treated with interferon-alpha.

Kaposi's sarcoma (KS) is a lympho-angioproliferative disease, with four variants; one of which is classical KS (CKS). Classical KS is clinically characterized by single or multiple pea-sized bluish-red macules on the distal portions of the lower extremities. A 60-year-old man presented with an asymptomatic, solitary patch on the left sole. He had been successfully treated for the classical type of Kaposi sarcoma on the right sole with interferon-alpha 3 years before. The patient was treated with six million units of interferon-alpha three times per week for 6 months. The lesion showed complete resolution and there has been no report of recurrence for 1 year after treatment.
