4.The Effect of NutriPlus Program among 1-5 Year Children in Daejeon Area - The Improvement in Nutritional Status of Children and Nutrition Knowledge and Attitude of Parents -.
Korean Journal of Community Nutrition 2013;18(1):1-10
This study investigated the effect of nutritional improvement of 1-5 year children participated in NutriPlus program. The program was carried out at Public health Center, Daedeok-gu, Daejeon from March 2009 to April 2011. The subjects were selected among applicants for low-income family financing of the government and included 90 children and their parents. they were divided into 2 groups (less than 6 months and more than 6 months of participation in the study). We analyzed the effects of NutriPlus program and nutrition education in both study groups. The results of this study were summarized as follows: The number of children with less than 10th percentile in height and weight and weight for height was decreased. The anemia prevalence rate was reduced from 64.4% to 8.9%. NAR value of subjects increased for energy, protein, calcium, iron, vitamin A, riboflavin, niacin and vitamin C. The education program improved knowledge and attitude of the parents. In nutrition knowledge according to the income level, there were greater changes in the group of less than 100% compared to the subsistence. In nutrition attitude according to the education level, there were greater changes in the group of middle school graduates than in high school graduates or college graduates. There were no difference between less than 6 months group and more than 6 months group in improvement of hemoglobin level, anthropometric data and nutrients intakes. Based on these results, we conclude that providing supplementary food to children and nutrition education brought positive effects on growth of the children.

Korean Journal of Physical Anthropology 1990;3(2):145-155
Three cases of human embryo of Carnegie stage 13 were described. The CR length of these embryos were 3.0-5.3mm. The authors made a reconstruction model using photograph, photocopy and computer. These embryos were characterized externally by 4 limb buds and 4 pairs of branchial arches, and internally closed otic pits, appearance of venous valves, septum primum and foramen primum in the heart, beginning of the right and left lung buds, appearance of lens disk.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1986;24(1):79-85
Although port-wine stains present as macular patches generally, some patients show considerable overgrowth of angiomatous tissue and show different results of laser therapy according to their histologic patterns. We observed 337 port-wine stain patients clinically, and tried to classify clinical morphology of port-wine stains and analyze with other features such as color, age and size. The results were as follows: Most of the lesions were located on the face, followed by neck, upper extremity, lower extremity and trunk in order. 2, On the face, the left lower part was the most frequent area of the lesions. The difference of the distribution between right and left side was not found, but the lesions were significantly more frequent on the lower part than the upper one. 3. The morphology was classified into patch, hypertrophic, cavernous and papular form according to therapeutic purpose. 4 When the color is darker, the others than the patch form appeared. 5, In old patients the color was darker and the papular form increased. 6. When the size enlarged, the hypertrophic form. increased. 7. Among ten patients who got the lesions at both the upper and lower eyelids, two showed ocular problems.

8.A Pathologic Study of Renal Cell Carcinoma: Correlation between clinical and morphologic parameters and prognosis.
Hye Seon AHN ; Moon Hyang PARK
Korean Journal of Pathology 1992;26(6):561-572
The prognostic significance of morphologic parameters was evaluated in 36 cases of renal cell carcinoma diagnosed during five years(1986~1990). We reviewed and classified on the basis of pathologic stage, tumor size, histologic pattern, cell type and nuclear grade. Mean age was 51 years old. Average tumor size was 7.3 cm in diameter. Six of 35 patients died of disease. Overall mean survival was 43.3+/-7.3 months. An increasing nuclear grade was generally correlated with a decrease in cummlative survival rate. Similarly, a higher stage at the time of diagnosis could predicated a low survival rate only for high nuclear grade carcinoma. There was an apparent positive correlation between grade and age, grade and size, grade and cell type, cell type and histologic pattern as well as stage and age. This positive correlations are in part a function of nuclear grade; only 20% of grade 3 & 4 tumor consisted of clear cells whereass 71% of grade 1 & 2 consisted of clear cell type. All 6 cases of granular cell types and 50% of mixed cell type were grade 3 & 4. The tumor size of the primary was well correlated with the nuclear grade. Nuclear grade was the most significant factor among the morphologic parameters studied.

10.A Study on the Activities of Daily Living, Self-efficacy and the Health Promoting Behavior in Stroke Patients.
Korean Journal of Rehabilitation Nursing 2004;7(2):149-158
PURPOSE: The purpose of this study to analyze the relationship the activities of daily living(ADL), self-efficacy, and health promoting behaviors. METHOD: The research was a descriptive survey study. The subjects of this study were 115 hospitalized stroke patients to two General hospitals and one Oriental treatment hospital in G. Metropolitan. Data was collected through questionnaires from December 1st, 2003 to January 30th, 2004. The survey instruments used in the study Shah, Vanclay and Cooper's MBI(11 items), and Sherer and Maddux's self-efficacy(10 items), Walker, Sechrist, and Pender's HPLP(23 items) was developed by the researcher. The obtain data were analyzed with an SPSS 10.0 program using frequency, percentage, Cronbach's alpha, t-test, ANOVA, Duncan test, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. RESULT: The results were as follows; The level of ADL the score was 50.5, self-efficacy 40.4, and health promoting behavior 54.6. There were significant differences of ADL by general and disease related characteristics as follows : for monthly income(F=2.72, p= .048), duration of stroke(F=7.98, p= .001), number of attack(F=5.21, p= .007), operation (F=17.88, p= .000). There were significant differences of self-efficacy by general and disease related characteristics as follows : for monthly income(F=4.83, p= .003), number of attack (F= 6.20, p=. 003), operation(F=4.03, p= .047). There were significant differences of health promoti ng behaviors by general and disease-related characteristics as follows : for aphasia(F=4.24, p=.042). There were significant correlated between ADL and self-efficacy(r= .698, p=.000), self- efficacy and health promoting behavior(r=.398, p= .000), ADL and health promoting behavior(r= .235, p= .011). CONCLUSION: As a result, There was a significant correlation between ADL, self-efficacy and health promoting behaviors. There will be considered useful nursing intervention effect to progress, support health promoting behavior of stroke patients.
