2.A Case of Epidermolysis Bullosa Dystrophica.
Korean Journal of Dermatology 1980;18(4):335-339
Epidermolysis bullosa dystrophica is a rare, chronic non-infIammatory mechanobullous disease of hereditsry trait, which easily produces bulla by minor injury or spontaneously. Bullae usually developed first at birth or in infancy, involving especially hands, feet, knees, elbows and other pressure sites, which heal with atrophic and hypertrophic scars, loss of hair and nails, digital fusion, flexural contractures of the knee, elbow and wrist joints. A 5-year-old boy has had various sized recurrent buIlae on hands, feet, kneces and elbows, healed with atrophy of skin, miliums, deformities of toe and finger nails. Diagnosis was confirmed by clinical features and electronmicroscopic findings. Literature were reviewed briefly.

3.Fatigue and the Related Factors in Well Women.
Journal of Korean Academy of Adult Nursing 1997;9(1):112-123
Fatigue is the subjective sense which people experience and use commonly in their lives. Although factors regards with fatigue have been explored in specific population, minimal study has been devoted to exploring associated variables generally healthy women. This descriptive study examined the relationship of demographic factors and depressions to subjective fatigue among women in the community who have no critical health problems. From June 15 to July 15, 1996, a convenience sample of 255 adult women completed the questionnaire which was developed by the author on the basis of Yoshitake's(1978) and Zung(1965), respectively. Pearson's correlation, t-test, ANOVA and Mann-Whitney test were used to analyze the data with SPSS/PC+ 5.0 for Windows. The results were as follows ; 1) Average fatigue score of the subjects was 12.57(+/-7.15)(range 0~30). Fatigue scores by area were neuroperceptive fatigue(4.81+/-2.90), physical fatigue(3.99+/-2.46) and mental fatigue(3.71+/-2.91) in order. Subjects with the fatigue scores more than 20 were forty four, 17.2 percent of total subjects. 2) Average depression score was 46.1(+/-6.96)(range 16~64), which was not so high. 3) Statistically significant relationship was noted between fatigue and depression scores(r=-.6747, p<.001) that means the more depressive, the more be fatigued. Correlations with respective fatigue area and depression were mental fatigue(r=-.6833, p<.001), neuroperceptive fatigue(r=-.5293, p<.001) and physical fatigue(r=-.5189, p<.001) in order. 4) Presence of disease revealed as the statistically significant variable affecting fatigue scores(t=-4.31, p<.001). Other variables such as age, marriage and job, however, had no statistically significant effect on the fatigue scores. Fatigue can meaningfully undermine quality of life in women who are accustomed to leading active lives. Fatigue is disabling, and a serious symptom to those who suffer from it. It is important for health providers as well as the women to recognize that there exits the relationship between fatigue and depression. Further investigation is necessary to facilitate adequate resolution of the clients' problem from fatigue leading to diminishment of the significance.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1981;19(2):239-243
Purpura fulminans (gangrenosa) is a rare clinical syndrome characterized by sudden appearance of rapidly progressive symmetrical subcutaneous ecchymosis durimg the convalescent stage of various infectious disease. A 4 year-old. boy has developed multiple skin defects with necrosis on extrernities and gangrenous changes on the left foot following a meningococcemia. B-K amputation on left leg and. free skin graft for multiple skin defect on extremities were, carried out.

Pityriasis lichenoides chronica is characterized by unknown etiology, chronicity and by being essentially asymptomatic and refractory to therapy. Nine patients with pityriasis lichenoides chronica were treated with orally administrated 8-Methoxypsoralen and UVA irradiation(PUVA Therapy). After S-45 PUVA treatments, lesions were completely cleared.

This is case report of true class III malocclusion with macroglossia is corrected by glossectomy in 13 years female patient. After orthodontic treatment, the patient is bound to glossectomy because the corrected condition is relapsed to the previous condition due to relatively enlarged tongue compared with the original dental arch. By the interpretation of the cephalogram and model analysis, it is approved that the growth pattern and direction are normal range and mandible is located anterioly to the cranium. The results are follows: 1. We could treat the true Cl III malocclusion. 2. We could prevent the relapse of the treated condition by the surgical intervention, such as partial glossectomy. 3. Sensory, speech, swallowing and so other functions after the operation have been with in normal limit without any serious complications or seguellae.

Juvenile granulosa cell tumor is rare but one of the common congenital testicular neoplasms. Although histological features are typical of its ovarian counterpart, testicular juvenile granulosa cell tumor has a distinctly different clinical presentation. We report a case of juvenile granulosa cell tumor arising in the cryptochid testis of a 4-day-old newborn. A 6 5 5 cm sized multilocular cyst containing thick, mucinous fluid was found in the peritoneal cavity. The external surface of the cyst was smooth and the septae were relatively thin. The cyst consisted of numerous mucin-filled, cystic follicles lined by cells having vacuolated cytoplasm and round to oval dark nuclei without grooves. Cells resembling granulosa cells of an ovarian follicle were also observed in the intervening stroma forming irregular solid nests.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1986;24(5):586-593
The pretent study was performed to study the epiderrnal changes of ultraviolet irradiation and PUVA treatment in the black mice. The following results were obtained: 1) The histologic changes of the epidermis, number of DOPA positive melanocytes and ultrastructural changes of keratinocytes due to UVB and PUVA were rnore prominent than those of UVA irradiation. 2) The histological changes after 8-MOP photosensitization closely mirnic those of UVR irradiation, and constant, finding was hyperkeratosis. 3) Early histological change after UVL irradiation & IUVA treatment was appearance of dytkeratotic cells. 4) Pro]onged exposure to UVB & PUVA resulted in transient epidermal hyperplasia, and epidermal atrophy occurred 3 weeks after PUVA treatment. 5) Early electron microscopic changes was perinuclear edema, juxtanuclear vacuoles and clumping of tonofilament.
