Little is known about sexual autonomy in the light of human sexual health or sexual behavior. The purpose of this study was to increase understanding of sexual autonomy by developing a scale to measure sexual autonomy in college students. The measure was based on the perspective of human beings as having autonomy. A methodological developmental design was used. The study was done in three steps and included concept development through content analysis of relevant literature individual interviews using open-ended questions with 19 college students, item analysis of data from self report questionnaires for item to total correlation, content validity index by professionals and college students, and factor analysis with principal component analysis. Three groups participated in testing the measurement scale; Group A in 1998, a nationwide convenience sample of college students (n=1,163), Group B, college students in 1999 (n=233), and Group C, college students in 2000 who responded to the measurement scale before and after a sex education program (n=216). A series of exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were conducted to test validity. For analysis of the questionnaires, statistical methods including reliability (test-retest), item to total analysis, content validity, factor analysis for construct validity and t-test for mean difference according to gender, sexual coitus, previous sex education, and pre-post experiment sex education were used with SPSS 10.0. Results: 1. Two stable factors were extracted and these contributed 48.05% of the variance in the total score. All 13 items loaded above .40 on each factor. 2. Factor I with 10 items was named 'control' and factor II with 3 items and was named 'coping'. 3. Differences in sexual autonomy scores for college students according to their experience showed that there were significantly higher scores for sexual autonomy in the post sex education group(t=-10.841, p=.000), but there were no differences according to whether or not they had previous sex education. Female college students had higher sexual autonomy scores than male college students in A or B group (t=-5.933, p=.000/ t=-1.992, p=.048). 4. Cronbach's alpha was .8603 for the total 13 items with 1,632 college students, .8739 with 232 students, .8333~.7647 with pre-post sex education with 216 students. This measurement was found to have a high validity and reliability for measuring sexual autonomy in college students. Therefore, the author recommends that it be used to measure the effects of sex education. It is suggested that further study is needed to analyze the relationship between sexual autonomy and sexual behavior. 5. Economic status(gamma33=-.44, t=-6.01) had a positive direct effect on perceived life stress. The results of this study showed that self-esteem had the most significant direct effect on depression. Meaning of life and health status had significant direct effect on this self-esteem. Volunteer activity and health status had direct effect on meaning of life. The results of this study suggested that there is a need to develope intervention to promote degree of self-esteem and alleviate degree of depression in middle-aged women.

Molluscum contagiosum is a contagious disease of the skin charaterized by the appearance of small globular, umblicated epithelial tumors, and caused by a virus of pox virus group. Authors experienced a case of molluscum contagiosum on the right upper and lower eyelids. And there was follicular conjunctivitis, but no corneal complication. The lesion was managed by simple extraction of the lesion under the local infiltration anesthesia.

Backgraund : Most of the inflammatory bullous lesions in bullous pamphigoid(BP) and epidermolysis bullosa acquisite(EBA) demonstrate similar clinical and histological features. However, the specificities of the autoantibodiea reactive to the dermo-epidermal junction antigeins are different. In these two bullouk dermat loses, there are no remarkable differences in symptomaiology, there are no unique predilection sites for the lesions and they do not usually leave scars after nvolution. Considering these similarities, dermatologists could encounter some clinical confuiion in maling a provisional diagnosis. OBJECTIVE: Authors examined three patients of BP with classic inflammatory bullous eruptions and threa patients of EBA with inflammatory bullous lesions to see if here were any differences in the morphology of the immuno-fluorescence(IF) pattern. METHODS: For direct IF of vertical or semi-vertical sections, perilasional skin was obtained in each patient for indirect IF of horizontal or semi-horizonta1 sections, Ig(bound substrates were prepared from all these autoantibody-positive individuals. All specimens veri; observed at 200/400-magnification fields through an ordinary fluorescence microscopy. RESULTS: Patterns of fluorescence observed by direct IF were characterized as thin-linear in BP and thick/coarse-linear in EBA along the basement membrane zone. On the horizontal section preparations in indirect IF, the patterns of fluorescence were clean-linear in E3P hnd more fluffy-linear in EBA at the dermoepidermal junction, These patterns could be recognized aim/larly in the fields of both 200 and 400-magnification, however each minor differences were not easy to distinguish each other. CONCLUSION: The above findings of subtle differences in the pattern of IF may provide some suggestions to the examiners for the need of differential diagnosis in theae riseases.

We compared 87 portographic filling defects detected by portal CT in 64 patients were compared with those obtained by indirect portography. The indirect portography could visualize portogram only in anterior-posterior view. But the portal portal CT could visualize both portogram and hepatogram. We examined the portal CT and indirect portography and compared the accuracy of the both methods to evaluate the limitation and significance of the indirect protography. The mass shape lesions were seen on the portal CT which means portal flow defects of the mass lesions only could not depict totally in indirect portography (0%, 0/41). And the larger defects than real mass lesion were seen in portal CT means mass with associated portal flow defect and find portal vein invasion around the mass in 52% (24/46) of the indirect portography. Among them, only 66% of mass were detected correctly in the indirect portography comparing with mass lesion in portal CT. In summary, indirect portogram could not detect small filling defects which detected in portal CT and could not depict the extent of large filling defects. It also could not visualize correctly the protal flow in non-lesion side of the liver parenchyma.

We performed IV bolus CT scan in 40 patients with final diagnosis of various hepatic masses in order to evaluate hemodynamic changes and differentiating characters of the lesions. Preenhanced, early and late phase post enhanced, and delayed CT scans were obtained with rapid IV bolus injection of contrast materials and table sliding method for pertinent scans. In hepatomas, early enhanced CT scan directly showed hypervascular change and active viable portion of the mass and late phase CT scan showed capsular enhancement. In addition, extracapsular invasion and post-embolization recurrence were more easily visualized. In hemangiomas, early and late enhancing types could be categorized according to the time of maximal enhancement. In metastatic liver malignancies and cholangiocarcinomas, specific findings were seen in early phase and delayed CT scans and not in conventional CT scan. In conclusion, IV bolus CT scan is a very useful CT method in demonstrating the characteristic hemodynamic patterns and in differential diagnosis of the hepatic masses.

Congenital agenesis of the right lobe of liver is a rare anomaly and only 33 cases have been reported. CT showed absence of the right lobe of liver and compensatory hypertrophy of the other lobe. We report the CT findings of a new case of this anomaly with a review of the literatures.
