1.Leukoedema of the Tongue in a Renal Failure Patient.
Annals of Dermatology 1992;4(1):49-53
A 20-year-old man with chronic renal failure had a whitish smooth plaque on his tongue. Due to his long standing illness, he had poor oral hygiene. Histopathologic examination showed marked epithelial thickening with parakeratosis and intracellular edema in the prickle cell layer. PAS staining revealed increased amounts of PAS-positive materials in the pale epithelial cells. His tongue lesion persisted during his hospital course.

2.Legg
The Journal of the Korean Orthopaedic Association 1995;30(6):1832-1836
Throughout medical science today there is increasing emphasis upon understanding the familial and associated genetic interplay in various disease processes. We observed a case of Legg-Calve-Perthes disease developed in monozygotic male twins. They have some mirror image of each other, for example hair whorl and involved hip. This report of the disease which is present in mirror fashion in idenitical twins illustrates enen more vividly the genetic interaction in the disease. Therefore, those who are aware that Legg-Calve- Perthes disease has appeared in a family should keep in mind the probability of the disease developing in another member.

5.Two Cases of Photosensitive Psorasis.
Korean Journal of Dermatology 1999;37(1):82-86
Photosensitive psoriasis is a rare disease defined as psoriasis in which the lesions deteriorate or new lesions develop after sun exposure. It should be differentiated from other photosensitive conditions that may be a vated or confused on sun-exposure. Half of the patients have a history of polymorphic light eruption(PMLE), whieh several weeks later develops into psoriasis lesions and the others have no history of preceding PMLE reaction. PUVA therapy is recommended for the treatment of choice. In this report, we describe two cases of photosensitive psoriasis. A 51-year-old woman without underlying psoriasis suffered from erythemato-squamous papular lesions on the face, neck and dorsum of hands after sun-exposure. She revealed a lowered minimal erythema dose(MED) for UVA which was confused with a photosensitive disease. But characteristic psariatic plaques on the elbow, knee and palm and histologic findings made the diagnosis photosensitive psoriasis. She showed a good result to cyclosporine therapy. The other patient, a 44-year-old woman with underlying psoriasis, experienced an exacerbation with preceding PMLE and showed a lowered erythema threshold for UVB. She was treated with sun-screen and topical corticosteroids.

6.A statistical analysis of dermatoses in west Gyeongsangnamdo area (1987-1990).
Korean Journal of Dermatology 1991;29(3):399-406
The authors reviewed 7,065 new outpatients who visited the dermatology clinic of Gyeongsang National University Hospital in Chinju from Jan. 1st, 1987 to Dee. 31st, 1990 to study the prevalence of common dermatoses in this region as compared to other regions in Korea, The results suggest that age, sex, monthly and yearly distribution patterns around Chinju are similar to those of other areas in Korea except for higher prevalences of vitiligo, psoriasis, alopecia, and for lower prevalences of scabies, insect bites, and syphilis.
