Povidone-iodine (PVP-I) is a widely used antiseptic for the skin and mucous membrane. It is known that povidone-iodine rarely induce contact sensitization. Recently, we have experienced 2 cases of povidone-iodine contact dermatitis. Standard patch test with PUP-I, PVP and, iodine were performed.

A case of eosinophilic pustular folliculitis in a 46-year-old woman is presented. The patient showed repeatedly developed erythematous, indurated plaque studded with srnall yellowish pustules on flush area of the left cheek with blood eosinophilia and biopsy revealed histopathological findings of eosinophilic pustular folliculitis. The patient responded well to systemic administration of corticosteroid and dapsone.

Clinics in Shoulder and Elbow 2017;20(3):138-146
BACKGROUND: Arthroscopic fixations for large and comminuted bony Bankart lesions are technically difficult. We developed an arthroscopic multiple pulled suture (MPS) technique to restore large and comminuted bony Bankart lesions. METHODS: Ten patients (mean age, 49.8 years; range, 31–79 years) underwent bony Bankart repair using the illustrated MPS technique and were then followed for a mean of 27.3 months. A plain radiograph series and three-dimensional computed tomography scans were taken at the initial clinical evaluation and 3 months postoperatively. Outcome measurements included the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) score, Rowe score, University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) score, and subjective patient satisfaction, along with surgical complications. RESULTS: Union of an osseous fragment with the glenoid rim was confirmed in all patients on a computed tomography scan 3 months after operation. The osseous fragment was restored to proper articular congruence and reduction. The affected shoulder was stable in nine of the 10 patients. One patient presented with a redislocation after a sports injury 3 years postoperatively. The ASES, Rowe, and UCLA scores improved at the final evaluation, and median patient satisfaction at the final follow-up was 9 of 10 points (range, 6–10 points). CONCLUSIONS: The arthroscopic MPS technique for bony Bankart lesions with large or comminuted osseous fragments was a relatively easy and safe method for stable fixation of the osseous fragment. Therefore, the arthroscopic MPS technique resulted in good restoration of stability with high patient satisfaction and low complication rates.

Journal of the Korean Academy of Family Medicine 2001;22(8):1271-1278
BACKGROUND: Korea Academy of Family Medicine recommands HBsAb and HBsAb test in youth health promotion program. Adequate management are necessary for prevention of vertical transmission at perinatal period, especially girls' high school students as a future's conceivable woman. Health examination program for the first grade students of high school which was established by the Educational Ministry has been acted since 1998. So, through the students health examination we'd like to find an adequate method of prevention and management in hepatitis B. METHODS: Our study examines HBs Ag/Ab about girls' high school students at two high schools in a city. According to the results of hepatitis B, active intervention in carrier group, passive intervention in candidate were done. And then a year later, hepatitis B management was investigated through the questionnaire. RESULTS: In active intervention group, regular check up of hepatitis B is 21.4%, hepatitis B blood test in family is 39.3% and in passive intervention group, hepatitis B vaccination rate after health examiantion is 9.1%. CONCLUSION: More active intervention such as mass vaccination are required in health examination for the purpose of hepatitis B management at youth.

OBJECTIVES: To study the distributions of pH and gas values in umbilical arterial(UA) blood of normal newborns following uncomplicated pregnancies and vaginal births. Methods: In 457 consecutive normal term infants who were born between March 1995 and June 1998, we examined the UA pH and blood gas values obtained immediately following delivery. Maternal inclusion criteria were defined as an uncomplicated singleton pregnancy and a normal full term spontaneous vaginal delivery. And also neonatal inclusion criteria were defined as a normal intrauterine growth appropriate for gestational age without any malformations and Apgar score of 7 or more at both one and five minutes after birth. Umbilical artery blood samples were collected at each birth and were evaluated for pH, carbon dioxide pressure (PaCO2), oxygen pressure (PaO2) and actual bicarbonate. RESULTS: Histogram of UA pH value resemble normal distribution curve. The lowest UA pH was 7.04 and the 10th percentile value was 7.23. The median UA pH was 7.31 and 5% was below 7.20. The lowest UA PaO2 was 4.6mmHg and the 10th percentile value was 11.5mmHg. The highest UA PaCO2 was 67.2mmHg and the 90th percentile value was 56.5mmHg. The lowest bicarbonate value was 13.2mmol/L and the 10th percentile value was 18.4mmol/L. CONCLUSION: The distributions of the UA pH and gas values of the collective of normal newborns were illustrated. None of the UA pH was below 7.0.

Angiosarcoma is a rare tumor, and it is highly unusual for it to appear in bone as a primary lesion. Review of literature revealed that 38 such lesions have bsen recorded since 1925, when Codman wrote that they had as yet registered no case which could be considered a typical angiosarcoma prior to that date. Recently we encountered one tumor developed in the distal end of a clavicle which was confirmed as angiosarcoma by pathologic study. This case is presented with a review of literature.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1997;35(5):980-983
Accessory tragi are rare congenital malformations of the external ear. They are present from birth and appear as solitary or multiple papules located between the pretragal and sternoclavicular regions. Accessory tragi may be multiple but are almost always unilateral and rarely bilateral. We report two cases of bilateral accessory tragus and a typical case of unilat, eral accessory tragus manifesting as skin-colored papules on the preauricular area.
