We present a case of multiple trichoepithelioma associated with milia. A 12-year-old girl developed symmetrically distributed, numerous, skin-colored papules on her face, some of which were studded with milia-like whitish materials. Histopathological findings of these lesions revealed the typical findings of trichoepitheliomas with overlying milia in the upper dermis.

Cutis verticis gyrata(CVG) is an unusual conformation of the scap characterized by the presence of folds and furrows due to thickening of the corium and the subutlneous tissue. In sccordance with etiological factor and associated findings, CVG occurs as primarary disease or secondary to a variety of local or systemic diseases. Cerebriform intradermal nevus(CIN) is a cause of CVG that can usually be recognized clinically and for a certainty histologically. We report two cases of CVG due to CIN. Not only did they have CVG due to CIN on the scalp, but also they had associated congenital nevi on the face and whole boispy, respectively.

Spontaneous testicular hemorrhagic necrosis is a rare disease usually associated with testicular torsion. Partially involved and suspicious testis tumor cases are also defined from orchiectomy specimens. Herein, a spontaneous hemorrhagic necrosis, without any testicular torsion, but with involvement of the whole testicle and epididymis, is reported. A 21 year old patient, who presented with a painless left testicular enlargement of several days duration was believed, based on physical examination, ultrasonography and elevation of serum LDH, to have a testicular tumor. Diagnosis was made only after radical orchiectomy and histopathological examination.

We herein report a case of occupational contact urticaria syndrome induced by cefotiam di-hydrochloride in a nurse. She had generalized pruritic wheals accompanied by palpitations and tachypnea during the preparation of cefotiam solution. A scratch patch test with cefotiam di-hydrochloride, a major component of cefotiam ingredient showed multiple erythema and wheals within 5 minutes, accompanied by palpitations and tachypnea. No delayed type reaction was observed. Based on her clinical history and scratch test result, we diagnosed her condition as contact urticaria syndrome caused by cefotiam.

Allergic contact dermatitis that is attributable to contact with environmental sensitizers boine by a second individual, especially in marital or sexual relationships, has been described as connubial contact dermatitis. Severely pruritic multiple erythematous plaques, vesicles and bullae in a 35-year-old woman occurred on the face, posterior area of the neck, breasts, buttock, and both upper arms. No direct contact to allergens was obtained. However her husband had eaten some cooked sprouts from a lacquer tree for lunch at a restaurant the day before her eruption, then he caressed her that night. A patch test with extracts of lacquer tree in ethanol(2%), crushed extracts of lacquer tree (as is), and urushiol(0.002% pet.) on the patients back showed strong positive reactions.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1992;30(4):551-557
Hypertrichosis is an overgrowth of hair not localized to the anclro en dependent areas of the skin. It may be congenital or acquired, localized or generalized localized hypertrichosis may occur in some types of pigrnentary nevi, chronic inflammation or irration, topical application of androgen or steroid, & localized myxedema. We report herein three i:ases of unilateral localized hypertrichosis with or without a brownish hyperpigmented patch developing on the face of a male adol scent. There are no known cau:,es of localized hyper trichosis. Histopath logically, it is characterized by increased melaniii pigment in the basal layer of the epidermis & enlarged hair follicles containing coarser liair. Electron microscopic findings show normal size & number of melanosomes in both mela nocytes & keratinocytes. Our cases differ frorn BecLers nevus in both clinical & histopatholcgic characteristics.

9.A Study on Worker Exposure to Methylene Chloride in Aircraft Paint Stripping Operation.

Korean Journal of Aerospace and Environmental Medicine 2001;11(1):20-23
BACKGROUND: Workers who are related with paint stripping process of aircraft parts can be exposed methylene chloride, phenol, chromium hexavalent in using paint remover. Especially, methylene chloride is more important hazard because of chemical asphyxia. METHOD: NIOSH(National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) Manual of Analytical Methods(NMAM) #1005 was used in sampling and analysis of methylene chloride. 4 air bases were surveyed. RESULT: Airborne concentrations of methylene chloride distributed lognomally. In aircraft paint stripping operation of 4 air bases, geometric mean(GM) of methylene chloride concentrations was 30.40+/-3.39 ppm (n=14) in personal samples and GM of area samples was 2.24 ppm (n=2). 5 of 8 samples showed breakthrough phenomenon. Breakthrough rate([back section]/[front section]) significantly correlated with airborne concentrations (p<0.01) and with detected amounts of methylene chloride(p<0.01). CONCLUSION: Airborne concentrations of methylene chloride in paint stripping process exceed the criteria level in many case(43%). Seriesed charcoal tubes must be used in methylene chloride sampling in compliance with NMAM.

10.Bullous Erythema Multiforme following Herpes Zoster.

Annals of Dermatology 2003;15(3):116-118
Erythema multiforme is a self-limited, usually mild and relapsing exanthematic intolerance reaction of the skin that is etiologically most often related to recurrent herpes simplex virus infection. Until now, despite its increasing incidence, varicella zoster virus has rarely been considered as an etiologic agent. We herein report a case of erythema multiforme following herpes zoster. A 52-year-old man complained of multiple targetoid lesions with central bullae which developed 1 day ago and were progressively spreading to his whole body. He had suffered from the thoracic herpes zoster along the right T11-, and T12-dermatomes for 10 days. He had no history of HSV infection. He had been intermittently taking analgesics such as acetaminophen for 1 year because of low back pain, but had no history of drug eruption due to analgesics. Histopathologic examination showed subepidermal bulla with necrotic keratinocytes and vacuolization of the basal layer. Based on the clinical morphology and the histopathologic findings, our case could be presumptively diagnosed as a bullous erythema multiforme following herpes zoster.
