Authors evaluated the electrocardiographic criteria of Minnesota Code (III-1, III-2) for the diagnosis of left and right ventricular hypertrophy in 93 cases of healthy peoples, 74 cases of left ventricular hypertrophy and 4 cases of right ventricular hypertrophy and following results were obtained. 1. By left ventricular hypertropy criteria (III-1), there were 5.4% of false positive and 14.9% of false negative cases. 2. By right ventricular hypertrophy criteria III-2), there were 24.7% of false positive and 20.0% of false negative cases. 3. Electrocardiographic diagnosis of ventricular hypertrophy by Minnesota Code (III-1, III-2) were more reliable criteria than many other criteria of ventricular hypertrophy.

2.Report of 58 cases of the pyloric hypertrophy stenosid diagnosed by ultrasound
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1998;231(12):122-123
Pyloric hypertrophy stenosid is a digestive congenital defect needed to early diagnose and treat. A retrospective study on 58 cases of the pyloric hypertrophy stenosid, with ages of 4 days - 4 months diagnosed and operated in Nhi §ång hospital during 1/1993 - 8/1998 has shown that 56 cases among 58 cases were precisely diagnosed by ultrasound helped the timely operation preventing from complications.

3.Electrocardiographic Diagnosis of Left Ventricular Hypertrophy by Scoring System.
Korean Circulation Journal 1977;7(1):1-8
Three point scoring systems for the diagnosis of left ventricular hypertrophy were studied referring to positivity as well as false positivity in 100 cases of clinically proven LVH and 100 cases of healthy persons. 1) By Estes' scoring system 98% of LVH cases were diagnosed as LVH. There was 14% of false positive rate in healthy person. 2) By Romhilt and Estes' scoring system, 58% of LVH cases were diagnosed as LVH. There was 1% of false positive rate in healthy person. 3) By Skjaggested and Kierulf scoring system, 81% of LVH were diagnosed as LVH. There was 17% of false positive rate in healthy person. 4) Point scoring systems were more accurate in electrocardiographic diagnosis for LVH than any other conventional criteria. Among the reported scoring systems, Estes scoring system was considered the most useful as well as accurate one.

Journal of Rhinology 2002;9(1, 2):66-68
Middle turbinate headache syndrome is rare, and the true incidence of headache from this cause is unknown. Pneumatization or hypertrophy of the middle turbinate can result in its contact with the septum or the lateral nasal wall and may give rise to headache in the periorbital region. It may occur in the absence of inflammatory sinus disease. Clinical history, nasal endoscopic examination, and coronal CT -scan should point to the diagnosis. Treatment is achieved by relieving the contact point by medical or surgical means. The authors experienced a case of middle turbinate headache syndrome, therefore we report this case with a review of literature.

The Ewha Medical Journal 2012;35(1):58-61
A 60-year-old man visited our hospital because of the incidentally found mass of the rib on chest radiography. Chest X-ray showed expansile bony hypertrophy on left 5th rib and bone setting of the computed tomography scan of chest revealed 4.2x2.5 cm sized, elongated bony expansion with geographic radiolucent lesion in the medullary cavity and cortical thinning. Technetium-99m bone scintigraphy showed diffusely increased radioactivity along the left 5th rib. We present this case to discuss about a possible differential diagnosis in this type of lesion.

9.Some remarks about 128 cases of transurethral resection of benign prostatic hypertrophy
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2004;0(7):32-35
From July 1998 to July 2001, 128 patients age ranged from 54-90 (67.2) with benign prostatic hypertrophy (BHP) were treated by transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) in Urinary Department - Military Hospital 108. The indication for TURP was symptomatic prostatism (100%), urinary tract infection (10.9%), acute retention (4.6%) and renal insufficiency (2.3%). TURP is the technique of choice for small (<20g) - 14.1% and medium-size prostate (20-60g) - 85.9%. Retention, hemorrhage and urinary tract infection are the most frequent complications at and after operation. Mastering of technique and careful assessment of patient and of local status are two important factors contributing to reduction of the rate of the resectoscopy complications. The outcomes were: good and average: 91.5%, bad: 8.5%, no one die

Journal of the Korean Society of Medical Ultrasound 2013;32(3):193-197
We present a rare case of a 28-year-old man with a non-tender soft tissue enlargement on the dorsal side of the first web space of the right hand. Sonographic evaluation showed thickening of the dorsal thenar muscle (dorsal interosseous muscle) without a mass-like or cystic lesion, as compared with the left dorsal thenar muscle. On grasping position, this finding was more prominent and no significantly increased vascular flow was observed in this muscle. We were able to diagnose idiopathic hypertrophy of the first dorsal interosseous muscle solely by sonography. Ultrasonographic evaluation is a noninvasive and accessible tool for diagnosis of pseudotumors, such as idiopathic thenar muscle hypertrophy.
