5.Study on adjusting indexes of lipidemia of prescription TT2 of the hypertension patients with lipidemia disorder

51 hypertension patients with lipidemia disorder were treated at Hospital of Military Traditional Medicine from April to September 2004. All patients were divided into 2 groups: The control group consisted of 19 patients who received Caropil 25mg tablet/ twice a day during 28 continuous days; the study group consisted of 32 patients who received a traditional recipe of TT2/per day divided into 2 times every 12 hours during 28 days. Among hypertension patients with primary lipidemia disorder and signs of phlegm wetness or and phlegm heat types, using a traditional recipe of T22/per day during continuous 28 days had effects of regulating the index of lipidemia: CT decrease of 14.9%; TG decrease of 27.5%; LDL-C decrease of 16.2%; the effects of increasing HDL-C were not significantly (increase of 6.5%).

6.Effect of Pantethine in the Treatment of Hyperlipidemia.

After pantethine in doses of 540 mg per day was administered for 8 weeks in 20 patients with hyperlipidemia, the serum levels of total cholesterol, triglyceride and HDL-cholesterol were compared with the pretreatment level. The serum level of total cholesterol decreased to 240+/-52 mg%[mean+/-standard deviation] after 4 weeks and 223+/-41 mg% after 8 weeks from the pretreatment level of 293+/-38 mg%(p<0.01). The serum triglyceride level also decreased to 254+/-109 mg% after 4 weeks and 239+/-114 mg% after 8 weeks from the pretreatment level of 375+/-126 mg%(p<0.01). 9.Lipemia disorder on patients with fatty liver who were diagnosed by ultrasound

Studying on 50 patients with fatty liver, aged > 16 years old, treated at Bach Mai Hospital from Dec 2002 – Jun 2003. All patients had laboratory tests such as: blood - lactose, liver enzymes, HBsAg, lipemia, liver ultrasound. Lipemia disorder occurred in 74% of these patients, and mainly increased triglyceride; the level of lipemia components was not different by severe level of fatty liver by ultrasound. In patients with fatty liver caused by alcohol, the level of HDL-C (1.55 0.52 mmol/l vs. 1.21 0.31 mmol/l) was higher than those without alcohol

10.Preliminary considerations about the effect of fresh bear bile on lipidemia components in patients with high blood pressure of I-II grade of lipidemia disturbance

30 patients aged 40-70 years old with primary blood lipid disorders and I – II grade of high blood pressure were treated with oral fresh bear bile 0.2ml a day for 30 days. The treatment had reduced triglyceride level by 11.20% had enhanced HDL cholesterol by 5.2%. The effect was reached after 15 day treatment and blood lipid components were stabilized 15 days after the cease of treatment. Oral fresh bear bile was well tolerated, in 80% of patients, at least one of functional symptom was improved. With the therapeutic dose of 0.2ml a day, there was not any side effect in 45 day follow-up.
