1.A Study of the Sustainability of NutriPlus Program Effect - in Pohang Area -.
Korean Journal of Community Nutrition 2011;16(2):206-214
This study was conducted to investigate the effect of the NutriPlus+ Program and to observe how the improved statuses were maintained after the program's termination. The subjects were infants and their parents, who have participated in the NutriPlus+ Program conducted by South Healthcare Center in Po-hang for longer than six months, during the period 2007 - 2010. The survey was conducted with questionnaires, and scores were tabulated from each question. After the intervention of the program, scores representing degrees of nutrition knowledge and nutrition attitude increased. The rate of nutritional risk by anthropometric measurement decreased, and the prevalence rate of anemia was significantly decreased as well. The number of subjects lacking any nutrients, except for iron and vitamin C, decreased, which indicates that the NutriPlus+ Program was effective. After enough time had passed after the intervention's completion; however, the scores of nutrition knowledge and nutrition attitude decreased. The number of subjects with low height and weight (proportional to their age) relatively decreased, and the prevalence rate of anemia increased slightly. The number of subjects lacking in energy and calcium consumption increased as well, which indicates that the effect of the NutriPlus+ Program was not maintained after the program's termination.

Journal of the Korean Radiological Society 1995;32(4):633-637
PURPOSE: To characterize MR findings of meniscal cysts of the knee. MATERIALS AND METHODS: We retrospectively reviewed knee MR images of surgically confirmed eighteen meniscal cysts. The location and shape of meniscal cysts were evaluated. RESULTS: Six of 18 cases were medial meniscal cysts and 12 of 18 cases were lateral meniscal cysts. Horizontal tears were present in all cases(100%). Four of 18 cases had rounded cysts and 14 of 18 cases had elongated cysts. In 3 of 6 medial meniscal cysts, cysts had dissected into the soft tissues distant from the meniscus, and connecting stalks were visualized. Three of 6 medial meniscal cysts were located adjacent to a meniscal tear. All of the lateral meniscal cysts occurred immediately adjacent to the meniscal tear. CONCLUSION: Meniscal cysts are associated with horizontal meniscal tear. The shapes of meniscal cysts tend to be elongated rather than rounded. Medial meniscal cysts occurred distant from or adjacent to the meniscal tear according to location of the tear. Lateral meniscal cysts occurred adjacent to the meniscal tear.

Korean Journal of Women Health Nursing 2009;15(2):140-149
PURPOSE: The purposes of this phenomenological study were to explore the experience of preterm labor. METHODS: The participants were 7 women admitted to two obstetric hospitals in Kyunggi-do Province with preterm labor. Data was collected with MP3 records through individual in-depth interviews and participated observation. The data was analyzed by Giorgi(1985) method. RESULTS: The results were divided into six categories as follows: 1) Inappropriate coping: unexpected event, overwork, lack of insight of preterm labor, 2) Burn out: multiple role, burden, role conflict. 3) Restrictions of lifestyle: uncomfortable hospital environment, wearisomeness, limitations of personal hygiene, 4) Physical discomfort: headache, flush, tremor, palpitations, 5) Psychological distress : concerns about fetus health status, fear of possible preterm delivery, lack of information, financial worries, 6) A transition to new lifestyle: share of household chores, communication with self-help group, careful lifestyle. CONCLUSION: The findings of this study will offer a better understanding of women's preterm labor experiences and suggest clues to nurses on how to improve the care they provide.

9.A Validation Study of the Korean Version of the Jefferson Empathy Scale for Health Professionals for Korean Nurses.
Journal of Korean Academy of Nursing 2016;46(2):207-214
PURPOSE: To validate the Korean Version of the Jefferson Empathy Scale for Health professionals (K-JSE-HP) in a sample of Korean nurses. METHODS: Internal consistency reliability, construct and criterion validity were calculated using SPSS (22.0) and AMOS (22.0). Data were collected from 253 nurses (230 women, 23 men) working at one university hospital in Seoul, South Korea. RESULTS: The Korean version of JSE-HP showed reliable internal consistency with Cronbach's alpha for the total scale of .89, and .74~.84 for subscales. The model of three subscales for the K-JSE-HP was validated by confirmatory factor analysis (χ2=864.60, Q=6.55, p <.001, CFI=.94, NNFI=.92). Criterion validity compared to the Interpersonal Reaction Index (IRI) showed significant correlation. CONCLUSION: The findings of this study demonstrate that the Korean JSE-HP shows satisfactory construct and criterion validity and reliability. It is a useful tool to measure Korean nurses' empathy.

Korean Journal of Orthodontics 1992;22(3):691-701
Over recent 20 years, with socioeconomic development and change of recognition of the population, more people are concerned about their health and appearance. To obtain the change of frequency of malocclusion and the demand for orthodontic treatment, with this trend, 2460 freshmen and students of Yonsei Univ. in 1991, aged from 18 to 21 were examined excluding 187 students who have history of orthodontic treatment, 86 students who are undergoing treat?ment, 39 students who have too much missing teeth to classify. After analize the frequency of malocclusion and the demand for orthodontic treatment, following results was obtained. 1. Sex ratio in the prevalence of malocclusion was 91.7%/90.8%, male to female, so there was no sex predilection. 2. With regard to Angle's Classification, each percentage of Class I, Class II div. 1, Class II div. 2 and Class III was 61.6%.11.3%,1.9% and 16.7%. 3. Of Class I malocclusion, percentage of crowding was 53.2, this occupied the largest part of single findings and prevalent findings in combinations were also crowding - crossbite and crowding - Protrusion. 4. Of Class I malocclusion, over the portion of 95%, Bialveolar Protrusion have arised alone. 5. The distribution of Demands for orthodontic treatment of malocclusion were 41.3% in males, and 51.3% in females.
