Objective To discuss the pathological and clinical features, diagnosis and treatment of prostatic duct adenocareinoma. Methods The clinical data of nine cases of prostatic duct adeno-carcinoma were retrospectively analyzed, with the average age of 76 (59-106) years. Six cases were presented with dysuresia and/or nocturia, and two of them had the painless gross hematuria. Two pa-tients presented painless gross hematuria as the first symptom. One case was detected the elevated ser-um PSA in a routine healthy examination. Radical prostatectomy (RP) was performed in 1 case;RP and bilateral orchidectomy and external beam radiotherapy (EBRT) were performed in 1 case;5 cases underwent transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) combined with photoselective vaporization of the prostate (PVP) by green laser and bilateral orchidectomy;1 case underwent TURP combined with PVP;1 case underwent bilateral orchidectomy combined with EBRT. Eight cases took flutamide for 3-45 months. All patients were followed-up according to the scheduled time. Results The op-erations were successfully performed in all 9 patients. The papillary or cauliflower-like tumors infiltra-ted colli culus seminalis and prostate duct nearby. The glands were coated with tall pseudostratified columnar cells. The nuclei were large, dark stained with more frequent mitoses. The positive rates of immunolabelling antibody PSA, AR, PAP were found to be 89%(8/9), 100%(5/5), 100%(5/5) re-spectively. The distribution of Gleason score was 6-7(3 cases), and≥8(6 cases), and a coexisting acinar carcinoma component was identified in 5 cases of the group. Nine cases had a mean follow up for 20(3-48) months. Five cases have developed biochemical recurrence, of whom 3 died of bone metas-tasis and multiple organ failure, and 1 developed lung and bone metastasis. Three cases remained alive without recurrence. The remaining 1 case survives during the follow-up survey for 6 months until now, without examinations due to the old age. Conclusions Duct adenocarcinoma of the prostate presents the low incidence and lacks of typical symptoms in the early stage. Diagnosis was confirmed mainly on the basis of pathology. The tumors tend to have a more advanced stage and a very short term survival rate. The treatment options and management are similar to that of high-grade adenocar-cinoma of the prostate;meanwhile, close follow-up survey should be performed.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the possibility of urethral reconstruction with a free colonic mucosal graft.
METHODSTen female dogs underwent a procedure in which the urethral mucosa was totally removed and replaced with a free graft of colic mucosa. A urodynamic study was performed before the operation and sacrifice. The dogs were sacrificed 8 to 16 weeks after the operation for histological examination of the urethra.
RESULTSUrethral stricture developed in 1 dog. The results of urody namic studies showed that the difference in maximum urethral pressure between pre-operation and pre-sacrifice in the remaining 9 dogs was not of significance (P > 0.05). Histological examination revealed that the colonic free mucosa survived inside the urethral lumen of the 9 dogs. Plicae surface and unilaminar cylindric epithelium of the colonic mucosa was observed in dogs sacrificed 8 weeks after the operation. Plicae surface and unilaminar cylindric epithelium of the colonic mucosa was not observed and metaplastic transitional epithelium covered a large proportion of the urethral mucosa in dogs sacrificed 12 weeks after the operation.
CONCLUSIONSUrethral mucosa can be replaced by colonic mucosa without damaging the continence mechanism in female dogs. This technique is useful when local or preputial skin and buccal or bladder mucosa are not available.

Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of matrix met-alloproteinases-9 (MMP-9)in tissues of endometrial carcinoma. Methods The paraffin samples of tissues in 30 patients with endometrial carcinoma admitted in our hospital from February 2009 to March 2012 were selected as experimental group 1 while those in other 40 patients with atypical en-dometrial hyperplasia and 40 healthy people as experimental group 2 and control group,respective-ly.Immunohistochemical staining method was used for the MMP-9 staining so as to analyze the counts of cells with positive staining and the staining severity.MMP-9 expression levels were com-pared,the relationship between MMP-9 expression and clinical pathological parameters in endome-trial carcinoma tissues were analyzed and Cox ratio risk model was applied to analyze the prognostic factors of endometrial carcinoma. Results Experimental group 1 was evidently lower in low-expres-sion of MMP-9 than experimental group 2 and apparently higher in high-expression of MMP-9 than the other groups (P <0.05).It was showed that pathological staging and lumph node metastasis were closely associated with MMP-9 protein expression (P <0.05),which were also the risk fac-tors impacting the prognosis of endometrial carcinoma (P <0.05).Conclusion The specific high-expression of MMP-9 in endometrial carcinoma can be considered as one of the referent indexes for diagnosing endometrial carcinoma and its pathological staging, which, however,is not the indepen-dent risk factor influencing the prognosis of endometrial carcinoma.

A type of entomopathogenic fungus of soil in Citrus grandis 'tomentosa' production base was isolated and identified with morphological and molecular biological methods, including pathogenesis, spore characteristic and ITS sequence analysis were conducted. The results showed that eighteen entomopathogenic fungi strains were isolated from the Tenebrio molitor infected in the soil samples, which were identified as Metarhizium anisopliae var. anisopliae. Based on results above, we concluded that there was quantity of Metarhizium resources in this area. These provided the useful information for controlling some pests of C. grandis by using these strains of fungus.
