BACKGROUND: The vibration of high speed handpiece during tooth preparation may have adverse effect on the continuous force of the bonding interfaces among the cement, dentin, and post core. OBJECTIVE: To find the effect of different types of cements on the coronal microleakage of fiber post under different tooth preparation timings, and to provide evidence for the clinical operation. METHODS: The extracted mandibular premolars were divided into 3 groups, and they were cemented by Rely X luting, Panavia F and Paracora 5 mL, respectively. Each group was averagely divided into 3 subgroups: A, B, C groups which were prepared 15 minutes, 45 minutes, and 90 minutes after the cements mixed. All roots were then dyed and transparented. The teeth were observed under stereoscopic microscope and the dyeing scores were also recorded. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Rely X luting caused the highest coronal microleakage of fiber post, followed by Panavia F, while Paracore 5 mL, brought about the lowest under the same tooth preparation timing. Different tooth preparation timing caused no significant effect on the coronal microleakage of fiber post when the cement had been completely set.

Herald of Medicine 2018;37(11):1334-1338
Regulation of blood lipid and anti-atherosclerosis is a hot topic in the study of poly unsaturated fatty acids in recent years. Many research showed that polyunsaturated fatty acids can inhibit atherosclerosis by reducing lipid, anti-inflammatory,anti-oxidative, inhibiting thrombosis and protecting vascular endothelial cells. Polyunsaturated fatty acids, due to their medicinal and edible homologues, have great potential drugs for regulating blood lipids and anti-atherosclerosis.

OBJECTIVETo explore the effects of Baixiangdan capsule(BXD), a Chinese herbal compound, on the location and expression levels of GABA(A) receptor beta2 subunit (GABA(A)Rbeta2) in hippocampus of PMS model rats with liver-qi invasion.
METHODAfter vaginal smear examination and open field test, the selected SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups Normal group, PMS model group with liver-qi invasion and PMS BXD-administration group with liver-qi invasion (BXD was administered with oral dosage of 10 g x kg(-1) body weight every day for 5 days). PMS model rats with liver-qi invasion were induced by electric stimulating, and evaluated by macro-behavior observation and open-field test. The location and expression of GABA(A) receptor in hippocampus were measured by fluorescence microscopy and western blot respectively.
RESULTCompared with the normal group, the open field scores and GABA(A) Rbeta2 expression of PMS model rats with liver-qi invasion were increased significantly, and the distribution of GABA(A) receptor is more concentrated. However, the scores and GABA(A) beta2 expression of PMS BXD-administration group with liver-qi invasion were decreased markedly. Compared with the PMS model group the location had no significant change.
CONCLUSIONOne of micro-mechanisms of PMS model rats with liver-qi invasion may be related with the high expression of GABA(A) Receptor beta2 subunit in hippocampus, and the Chinese medicinal formula, BXD granule, had an adjust on the above abnormal changes.

OBJECTIVETo study the effect of X-ray on gene transfer and the antitumoral effect of X-ray combined with suicide gene therapy on colorectal carcinoma cells.
METHODSGreen fluorescent protein (GFP) was seen under fluorescent microscope. GFP gene was used for reporting gene to learn gene transfer efficiency and gene expressing time under the influence of radiation. G418 was used to select cytosine deaminase (CD) positive neoplasm cells and CD gene transfer efficiency was tested by cloning efficiency. Antitumoral effect of X-ray combined with CD and 5-FC on colorectal carcinoma cells was tested by MTT.
RESULTS4 Gy radiation could improve supercoiled plasmid DNA transfer efficiency for about 2 - 4 times and 30 times for linearized plasmid DNA. The mean durations of GFP gene expression treated with 4 Gy radiation were 14 d for supercoiled plasmid and 21 and for linearized plasmid, while in control group, the time was 12 d. Middle-dose radiation combined with CD and 5-FC could kill 99 percent of colorectal carcinoma cells, while in the control group, 5-FC only killed 15 percent of colorectal carcinoma cells which were transduced with CD gene.
CONCLUSIONSX-Ray combined with suicide gene therapy may be used as a promising method for treating colorectal neoplasm.
