BACKGROUND:Rehabilitation training equipments play an important role in the rehabilitation treatment. Because of poor muscle strength and joint mobility in patients, we must guarantee the safety of rehabilitation training equipments.
OBJECTIVE:To design a new suitable man-machine interface that ensures patients can use rehabilitation equipments and even parts of fitness equipments safely.
METHODS:Through user experience research, we found the flaws of the existing rehabilitation equipment. Depending on the principles of ergonomics, we designed a new man-machine interface for upper limb exercise through survey and computer-aided design.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The new man-machine interface program achieves the rapid wear and discharge between patients and rehabilitation training equipment, and importantly, it can automatical y separate people from the equipment when the patient's body discomforts or equipment failure appears. What’s more, this man-machine interface can be promoted to other fitness equipments. As a result, rehabilitation training for patients wil be more convenient.

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2007;42(3):342-346
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the interaction effects of In-Chen-How (Artemisia capillaries Thunb.) on the pharmacokinetics of acetaminophen and on liver microsomal cytochrome P450 enzyme activity in rats. The rats were divided into control group (n=8) without In-Chen-How and the pretreated group (n=8) administered with In-Chen-How (approximately 1.0 mL·kg-1, according to weight) for 5 consecutive days. Rats in the control group received water simultaneously. Each rat was then given acetaminophen. The pharmacokinetic parameters of acetaminophen of the two groups were significantly different. In the In-Chen-How pretreated group, the maximum concentration of acetaminophen and the area under the plasma concentration-time curve were reduced about 58.4%, 56.7% and 55.4%. To further explain the results, liver microsomal suspensions were obtained from rats that were randomly divided into control and In-Chen-How pretreated group. The levels of CYP1A2 and CYP2E1 in hepatic microsomal protein from pretreated group were increased as compared to that from the control group. It indicated that In-Chen-How can stimulate the activity of CYP isozymes. The changes in the pharmacokinetics of acetaminophen resulting from the administration of In-Chen-How are related to an increase in metabolic activity of CYP1A2 and CYP2E1.

Journal of Endocrine Surgery 2010;04(4):222-224
Objective To investigate the involvement of VEGFR-3 signaling pathway in lymphatic metastasis of thyroid cancer. Methods The expression of VEGFR-3 mRNA in thyroid carcinoma and normal thyroid tissue was detected by RT-PCR. The expression of VEGFR-3 mRNA and the lymphatic vessel density (LVD) in thyroid carcinoma and normal thyroid tissue was measured by immunohistochemical staining. Results All thyroid cancer samples expressed VEGFR-3 and the expression rate of VEGFR-3 in thyroid carcinoma was significantly higher than that in the normal thyroid group ( P < 0. 05 ). LVD in thyroid cancer was significantly higher than that in normal control. LVD with lymph nodes metastasis ( N + ) was significantly higher than that without lymph node metastasis (NO) (P < 0. 05). Conclusions There is upregulatin of VEGFR-3 expression in thyroid carcinoma. The higher the expression of VEGFR-3, the severer of lymph node metastasis. VEGFR-3 receptor-mediated signal transduction pathway might be an important factor of thyroid cancer lymph node metastasis.
7.Physical fitness and early life influencing factors among preschoolers in Guangzhou
Chinese Journal of School Health 2022;43(3):421-424
Objective:
To understand physical health of pre school children aged 3-6, so as to analyze the early life influencing factors, and to provide a reference for physical health promotion of preschool children.
Methods:
The method of random sampling was used to select 1 580 preschoolers aged from 3-6 in Guangzhou. National physical health test and questionnaire survey were conducted to assess physical health.
Results:
The physical fitness pass rate of preschool children was 87.2%, among which the excellent rate was 30.8%. With the increase of age, the rate of good physique of both boys and girls increased. There were statistical differences in body shape indexes (except dermal fold thickness) between male and female children at all ages ( P <0.01). The rate of overweight and obesity was 14.7%, which was higher in boys (17.2%) than in girls (12.0%). There were significant differences between overweight and non overweight obese people( χ 2=4.84,3.96,5.73,4.85, P <0.05). Logistic regression showed that preterm birth was negatively correlated with the rate of good physique of preschool children ( OR=0.81, P <0.05). There was a positive correlation between birth weight greater than gestational age and the rate of physical fitness of preschool children ( OR=1.37, P <0.05).
Conclusion
Preschool children aged 3-6 years old in Guangzhou have poor physical health overall, and the rate of good physical health is related to factors such as preterm gestational week in early life delivery and birth weight greater than the gestational age.

Objective To study the application of autoregressive integrated moving average(ARIMA)model to predict the monthly reported malaria cases in China,so as to provide a reference for prevention and control of malaria. Methods SPSS 24.0 software was used to construct the ARIMA models based on the monthly reported malaria cases of the time series of 2006-2015 and 2011-2015,respectively. The data of malaria cases from January to December,2016 were used as validation data to compare the accuracy of the two ARIMA models. Results The models of the monthly reported cases of malaria in China were ARIMA(2,1,1)(1,1,0)12 and ARIMA(1,0,0)(1,1,0)12 respectively. The comparison between the predictions of the two models and actual situation of malaria cases showed that the ARIMA model based on the data of 2011-2015 had a higher ac-curacy of forecasting than the model based on the data of 2006-2015 had. Conclusion The establishment and prediction of ARIMA model is a dynamic process, which needs to be adjusted unceasingly according to the accumulated data, and in addi-tion,the major changes of epidemic characteristics of infectious diseases must be considered.

Intestinal Research 2025;23(2):182-192
Background/Aims:
Growing evidence suggests histologic healing (HH) improves clinical outcomes in ulcerative colitis (UC) patients beyond endoscopic healing (EH). We hypothesize that HH is associated with better clinical outcomes in Asian UC patients, for whom data is lacking.
Methods:
We performed a retrospective study of UC patients in clinical remission (CR) with a follow-up colonoscopy and minimum 1-year follow-up post-colonoscopy. Primary outcome was clinical relapse (CRL), defined as either a Simple Clinical Colitis Activity Index score of > 2, medication escalation, hospitalization or colectomy. Predictors of CRL and HH were assessed.
Results:
One hundred patients were included with a median follow-up of 22 months. At index colonoscopy, 80 patients were in EH. On follow-up, 41 patients experienced CRL. Of 80 patients in EH, 34 (42.5%) had persistent histologic activity (Nancy Index ≥ 2) and 29 (36.3%) relapsed during the follow-up period. Amongst patients in CR and EH, those with HH had lower CRL rate (26.1% vs. 50.0%, P= 0.028) and longer CRL-free survival (mean 46.1 months vs. 31.5 months, P= 0.015) than those with persistent histologic activity. On bivariable analysis of 100 patients in CR, HH, and Mayo endoscopic score (MES) of 0 were significantly associated with lower risk of CRL. On multivariable analysis, only MES 0 remained predictive of lower CRL risk.
Conclusions
Above and beyond CR and EH, achieving HH improves clinical outcomes in Asian UC patients. However, HH may not confer incremental benefit if MES 0 has been achieved. Further prospective studies evaluating the benefit of histologically guided therapeutic decisions are needed.
