Objective To explore the method and effect of continuous quality improvement ( CQI) on the criterion for the treatment of diabetic patients with hypoglycemia in nurses .Methods The treatment process of diabetic patients with hypoglycemia was carried out the quality control and improvement in department of endocrinology using the FOCUS-PDCA process of CQI .The records of nursing including 187 cases before the implementation and 197 cases after the implementation were consulted .The effect of the criterion for the treatment of diabetic patients with hypoglycemia was compared before and after the implementation of the CQI . Results The compliance rate of instructing the patients with hypoglycemia to eat in nurses according to the standard was increased from 15.5%to 77.6%, and the compliance rate of the time of measuring the fingertip blood sugar again was increased from 2.1%to 39.8%, and the compliance rate of recording the simultaneous phenomenon of hypoglycemia was increased from 13 .9%to 77 .6%, and the degree of mastering the knowledge of hypoglycemia in nurses was increased from 43.7% to 100.0%, and the differences were statistically significant (χ2 =1.449,79.63,1.529,3.742, respectively;P<0.01).Conclusions CQI can standardize the method of the treatment of diabetic patients with hypoglycemia in nurses , and improve the knowledge of hypoglycemia in nurses , and provide the security for the treatment in diabetic patients .

In order to verify the correlation between Polygonum multiflorum-induced liver injury and HLA-B*35 : 01 alleles, six hospitalized patients diagnosed with Polygonum multiflorum-induced liver injury (PM-DILI) were selected, and their clinicopathological data were collected. Simultaneously, blood HLA-B* 35 : 01 allele detection was performed. Among the six PM-DILI cases, 4 were male, aged 38.83 ± 10.13 years old. The types of liver injury were hepatocellular injury types in all, and the severity of liver injury in five cases was grade 3. The histological presentations were acute hepatitis and acute cholestatic hepatitis. PM-DILI cases were all HLA-B*35:01 carriers, with a carrier rate of 100%. This finding indicates that PM-DILI is significantly correlated with HLA-B*35:01 alleles. Therefore, HLA-B*35 : 01 alleles can be used as an important predictive indicator for PM-DILI.
