1.Analysis of abnormal Hepatitis B virus serological markers in neonatals
Journal of Clinical Pediatrics 2014;(6):544-546
Objectives To investigate the outcomes of neonatals with abnormal hepatitis B virus (HBV) serological markers. Methods Twenty-eight neonatals who had abnormal HBV serological markers and whose mothers had positive HBsAg, HbeAg and HbcAb were studied. Among them, 21 neonatals who had positive HBsAg, HbeAg and HbcAb were included in vertical transmission group;7 neonatals who had positive HbeAg, HbcAb and negative HBsAg were included in suspicious group. The quantities of HBV serological markers were determined by time-resolved immunofluorometric assay (IFMA) and the level of HBV DNA were measured by fluorescence quantitative PCR (FQ-PCR). Results Serum HBeAg and HBsAg levels in suspi-cious group were lower than those in vertical transmission group (P<0.05). The results showed that HBeAg level (0.55 ± 0.19 PEIU/ml) three months after birth was lower than that (4.02 ± 2.00 PEIU/ml) 7 days after birth in suspicious group (P<0.05). Conclusions Early interference has positive effect in mothers and neonatls with abnormal HBV serological markers.

Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2009;16(1):79-80
Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of treadmill exercise tests (TET), Hoher electro-cardiogram in coronary artery disease(CAD) patients. Methods 144 patients who clinically diagnosed as CAD,un-derwent TET and Hoher electrocardiogram. Then the patients with the positive results were examined by coronary arte-riography(CAG). According to the results of CAG the diagnostic value of TET and Hoher electrocardiogram was per-formed with comparative analysis. Results The sensitivity, specificity and evaluated accuracy rates of TET were 93.3% ,72. 2% and 73. 8% respectively. But the sensitivity, specificity and positive evaluated accuracy rates of Hol-ter electrocardiogram to examine myocardial iachemia were 76.7%, 88.4%, 57.1%. Conclusions The combined examination of TET and Holter electrocardiogram could preliminarily estimate the stenosis site of coronary artery. For the patients with unconditional GAG, those two examinations could increase the diagnostic reliability of positive rate of myocardial isehemia, and on this basis to enhance the diagnostic level of the stenosis site of coronary artery.

Objective To investigate the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of ropivacaine for epidural anesthesia in renal transplantion. Methods Eight patients undergoing renal transplantation (group R) and eight patients with normal renal function (group C) were included in this study. Nine patients were male and seven female. Age ranged from 27-52 years and body weight from 46-89 kg. Radial artery was cannulated under local anesthesia for blood pressure monitoring and blood sampling. An epidural catheter was placed at L1-2. An epidural bolus of 0.75% ropivacaine 16 ml was given. The level of sensory block was tested every 3 min within 30min after epidural ropivacaine and then every 15 min.The degree of motor block was assessed using Bromage score every minute (0 = the patient can move his/her lower limb freely, 3 = the patient can not flex his/her hip, knee and ankle) . Arterial blood samples were taken before, during and after surgery for determination of plasma concentration of Alphal acid glycoprotein (?1-AGP) using an ultrafiltration technique. Results Demographic data including gender, age and body weight were comparable between the two groups. The onset time of sensory block in group R (20.00?4.63)min was significantly shorter than that in group C (32.14?8.09) min, while duration of sensory block in group R (60.00?27.69) min was significantly tonger than that in group C (43.13 ? 27.64) min. Plasma concentration of ?1-AGP in group R was significantly higher than that in group C ( P

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2015;29(23):2023-2025
OBJECTIVE:
To study the mechanism and clinical significance of specific immunotherapy (SIT) on the expression changes of GM-CSF and IL-5 in the tissue samples of recurrent nasal polyps.
METHOD:
Perennial allergic rhinitis patients with recurrent nasal polyps were randomly divided into 2 groups. The experimental group of 19 patients was treated by SIT and standardized treatment (glucocorticoid nasal spray) , and the control group of 17 patients was only treated by standardized treatment (glucocorticoid nasal spray). We measured the expression levels of GM-CSF and IL-5 in the tissue samples of the nasal polyps by ELISA, and compared the results obtained before treatment with expression levels detected at 6 months and 1 year after the treatment.
RESULT:
The expression of GM-CSF and IL-5 in the recurrent nasal polyps reduced significantly (P < 0.05) in both groups after 6 months and 1 year post-treatment compared with pre-treatment, and the expression of GM-CSF and IL-5 in the experimental group was much lower than that of the control group.
CONCLUSION
SIT decreases the expression of GM-CSF and IL-5 and reduces the inflammatory reaction in the tissue samples of recurrent nasal polyps.
