Chinese Journal of Marine Drugs 2001;0(05):-
Objective To search for novel antifungal structures produced by marine fungus. Methods Using the Pyricularia oryzae (P.oryzaae) bioassay method to screen marine fungi led to the isolation of marine fungus 09-1-1-1.Active metabolites were isolated from the broth of the marine fungus 09-1-1-1.Results Two compounds were extracted from the mycelium and their structures were elucidated by various spectroscopic methods as 3a,12c-dihydro-8-hydroxy-6-methoxy-7H-furo\furo\xanthen-7-one(Ⅰ,sterigmatocystin) and 1,3,6,8-tetrahydroxy-2-(1-hydroxyhexyl)anthraquinone(Ⅱ,averantin).Conclusion The P.oryzae bioassay was a cheap, quick and convenient method for the screening of bioactive substances from marine fungi.Compound Ⅱ showed potent inhibitory activity to the mycelia of P.oryzae.The MIC of compound Ⅱagainst P.oryzae was 1.6 ?g?mL~(-1).

Objective To observe the real-time efficacy of balance acupuncture in treating primary hypertension. Method Totally 160 patients with primary hypertension were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 80 in each group. The treatment group was intervened by balance acupuncture, while the control group was by oral administration of Captopril. The blood pressure and symptom score were observed before and after intervention. Result There were no significant differences in comparing the total effective rate at different time points between the two groups (P>0.05). There was a significant difference in comparing the headache score in male patients at 30 min after treatment between the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion Balance acupuncture is an effective method in treating primary hypertension, and can release headache of the patients.

Journal of International Oncology 2016;43(4):271-273
SOX7 belongs to the SOX gene family. And it has been shown to regulate multiple biological processes.Studies have found that SOX7 gene is likely to be a tumor suppressor gene.In many tumors,SOX7 downregulation that inhibits proliferation, migration and invation of tumor via regulating the Wnt-β-catenin signaling pathway mediated the transcription process, which plays a significant role in tumorigenesis.

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2012;34(11):994-996
Objective To investigate the acute toxicity and anti-stress effects of Naoxinshu capsule (NC) in mice. Methods In acute toxicity experiment, mice were oral administered to determine the maximum tolerance dose of NC.In anti-stress experiments, mice were divided into 5 groups at random, namely NC high, medium and low dose groups (2.4,1.2 and 0.6 g/kg,respectively),Gypenosides group(0.75 g/kg) and control group (n=10).After seven days of oral administration, rope climbing time, loaded swimming time,anti-hypoxia time, and survival rate under high or low temperature tests were carried out, respectively. Results The maximum tolerance dose of NC was 72 g/kg.NC high, medium and low dose groups significantly prolonged the rope climbing time [is (9.5 ± 3.1) min,(6.0± 1.6) min,(4.1 ± 1.2) min],loaded swimming time [is (28.2± 6.8) min,(25.7± 10.3)min,(22.9± 8.0)min] and anti-hypoxia time (around 17 min),compared to the control group (P<0.05 or P<0.01).NC high dose group significantly improved the survival rate of mice (i.e.30%) under high or low temperature (P<0.05).Conclusion NC shows good anti-stress effects, and no detectable acute toxicity in mice.

OBJECTIVE To study the germicidal efficacy and germicidal mechanism of compound ortho-phthalaldehyde(OPA) against Bacillus subtilis var.niger spores.METHODS Suspension quantitative germicidal test was used to observe the germicidal efficacy of compound OPA against B.subtilis var.niger spores. The germicidal mechanism of compound OPA was studied in transudation of protein and DNA and ultra-microstructure.RESULTS The results showed that at(20?1)℃,the logarithm mean reduction was greater than 5.00,after B.subtilis var.niger spores had been exposed to compound OPA for 30min.Some protein leaked from B.subtilis var.niger spores treated with compound OPA for some time, but there wasn′t DNA.The ultrastructure showed that the shape was amorphic, the electronic density of the coat was unequal, the core leaned to one side or appeared the transmission area.CONCLUSIONS Compound OPA can effectively kill B.subtilis var.niger spores. Its mechanisms are that in accordance with benzolkonium bromide(Bromogeramine) the compound OPA can change the osmotic pressure of cell and increase cell permeability, then it can easily penetrate to their target sites within the cell.
