World Science and Technology-Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2017;19(2):218-222
It is of great importance that deep learning of computer for the automate identification of the two-dimensional image of Chinese herbal slices is valuable in the application to medicine, production and education.Traditional methods usually extract low-level image features for the identification, but they cannot give robust recognition results under complex backgrounds. Therefore, higher level image representation is necessary in the image identification.A public Chinese herbal medicine database was constructed with 50 common categories and 2,554 images in total, for training and evaluating our recognition model. Then, the sofimax loss function was adopted to train the convolutional neural network model. As a result, the convolutional neural network can achieve the average precision of 70% under all the 50 medicine herbal classes. In conclusion, convolutional neural network can obtain good results in image identification with complex backgrounds and mutually occluded herbal slices, which has promising potential for future applications.

Objective To explore the effect of curcumine on the inflammation and expression of single immunoglobin IL-1 receptor related protein in alveolar epithelial cells induced by lipopolysacharride (LPS).Methods The rat type Ⅱ alveolar epithelial cells were cultured in vitro, and cell activity was measured when stimulated with LPS and different doses of curcumin. The level of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin 6 (IL-6) in supematant was detected.Cells pretreated with curcumin (20 μmol/L),were stimulated with LPS (10 μg/mL).The nuclear protein and membrane protein was extracted to detect the expression level of nuclear transcription factor kappa B (NF-κB) and single immunoglobin IL-1 receptor related protein (SIGIRR).Results The cells activities were not affected by curcumin (5 ~30 pμmol/L) and LPS (10 μg/mL) (P < 0.05).Curcumin (5 ~30 μ mol/L) significantly inhibited LPS-induced overpression of TNF-α and IL-6 (P < 0.05).In 20 μ mol/L and 30 μ mol/L pretreatment groups, the inhibition of curcumin was most obvious, and there were no significant differences between the two groups (P < 0.05).Curcumin (20 μ mol/L) significantly inhibited the expression level of phosphorylation of NF-κB p65 in cell nucleus, while up-regulated the expression of SIGIRR (P < 0.05).Conclusion Curcumin inhibits the expression of inflammatory factor such as TNF-α and IL-6 as well as activation of NF-κB in alveolar epithelial cells induced by LPS.Up-regulating the expression level of negative regulatory molecules SIGIRR is one of the possible mechanism.

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2007;42(6):656-662
The aim of this work was to investigate guar gum/ethylcellulose mix coated pellets for potential colon-specific drug delivery. The coated pellets, containing 5-fluorouracil as a model drug, were prepared in a fluidized bed coater by spraying the aqueous/ethanol dispersion mixture of guar gum and ethylcellulose. The lag time of drug release and release rate were adjustable by changing the ratio of guar gum to ethylcellulose and coat weight gain. In order to find the optimal coating formulation that was able to achieve drug targeting to the colon, the effect of two independent variables (the ratio of guar gum to ethylcellulose and the coat weight gain) on drug release characteristics was studied using 3×4 factorial design and response surface methodology. Results indicated that drug release rate decreased as the proportion of ethylcellulose in the hybrid coat and the coat weight gain increased. When the ratio of guar gum to ethylcellulose was kept in the range of 0.2 to 0.7, and the coat weight gain in the range of 250% to 500%, the coated pellets can keep intact for about 5 h in upper gastrointestine and achieve colon-specific drug delivery. The pellets prepared under optimal conditions resulted in delayed-release sigmoidal patterns with T5% (time for 5% drug release) of 5.1-7.8 h and T90% (time for 90% drug release) of 9.8-16.3 h. Further more, drug release was accelerated and T90% of the optimum formulation pellets decreased to 9.0-14.5 h in pH 6.5 phosphate buffer with hydrolase. It is concluded that mixed coating of guar gum and ethylcellulose is able to provide protection of the drug load in the upper gastrointestinal tract, while allowing enzymatic breakdown of the hybrid coat to release the drug load in the colon.

Chinese Journal of Plastic Surgery 2019;35(5):451-455
Objective:
To explore the surgical methods for children with contracture deformity on hands after burn.
Methods:
From January 2014 to January 2018, 33 pediatric patients, a total of 42 hands with scar contracture deformities were reviewed. There were 24 males and 9 females, aged from 11 months to 6 years and 7 months. Among them, 20 hands were volar metacarpophalangeal joint contractures, 9 were volar interphalangeal joint contractures, 7 were dorsal metacarpophalangeal joint contractures (3 claw-shaped hands), 3 were hand back contractures, and 3 were palm contractures. Of the 42 hands, 36 hands were repaired with full-thickness skin grafts or split-thickness skin grafts, after the removal of contracted scar, and 6 hands were repaired with abdominal skin flaps, due to the tendon or bone exposure after the scar removal.
Results:
Skin grafts on 31 hands were all survived after 2 weeks. However, the survival area of 3 skin grafts was about 90%, and 2 skin grafts survived about 80%. All of them healed well after dressing changing. The 6 hands repaired with abdominal skin flap healed well too. After 1-2.5 years of follow-up, finger scar contracture occurred in 4 hands with skin grafting, and they were performed scar excision and sheet skin grafting. Three hands were treated with Z-plasty, due to web space contracture. The function of other hands were normal, without contracture or deformity. The skin color and texture were similar to the surrounding skin, with limited pigmented. Scars on the edge of skin grafts was not obvious. Patients and their families were satisfied.
Conclusions
The sheet skin graft is the main method for postburn scar contracture in children′s hands. The abdominal skin flap should be considered, if tendon or bone is exposed, especially for large wound or multiple sites.

Chinese Journal of Burns 2020;36(7):594-595
From July 2018 to April 2019, 10 patients (8 males and 2 females, aged 5 to 53 years) who need skin grafting with 17 hands were admitted to the Fourth Medical Center of PLA General Hospital. The method of glove bandaging was used for wound hemostasis in skin grafting. After the initial hemostasis, sterile latex gloves were used as the inner cover of hand, and then pressure-wrapped with gauze. After 20 minutes, the gauze and gloves were removed in order from the near to the far, then thorough hemostasis was conducted again, and finally skin grafting was performed. The use of gloves as inner cover can avoid the adhesion of gauze fibers to the wound surface, so that it will not cause small blood vessels to re-bleed when the gauze is removed, therefore reducing the excessive use of electrocoagulation and secondary damage to the wound. As a result, blood loss can be reduced and hemostatic time can be shortened.
