Objective To evaluate the prophylactic effect of abdominal breathing exercises on radiation pneumonitis in patients with chest malignant tumors.Methods 100 patients with chest malignant tumors were given radiotherapy and divided with random digit table into the exercise group and the control group with 50 patients in each group.The incidence rate of radiation pneumonitis in both groups was compared.The prophylactic effect of abdominal breathing exercises on radiation pneumonitis was evaluated.Results The incidence of radiation pneumonitis in abdominal breathing exercise group was significantly reduced [34％ (17/50) vs.56％ (28/50),Z=2.397,P＜0.05],the incidences of grade Ⅰ [22％ (11/50) vs.30％ (15/50)] and grade Ⅱ [12％ (6/50) vs.18％ (9/50)] radiation pneumonitis decreased,and no grade Ⅲ and Ⅳ radiation pneumonitis occurred.Conclusions The incidence of radiation pneumonitis in patients with chest malignant tumors treated with radiation therapy may be decreased by abdominal breathing exercises,which may be widely applied in patients treated with radiation therapy.

OBJECTlVE To study the effect of ganoderma poIysaccharide( GLP)on zebrafish ( Danio rerio)survivaI,deveIopment and senescence. METHODS A p53-knockout zebrafish modeI was estabIished by injecting of morphoIino phosphorodiamidate(mO)into normaI zebrafish eggs in the singIe ceII deveIopment stage. Different concentrations of GLP 1,2 and 3 g·L-1 were used to treat both wiId type and p53-knockout zebrafish embryos 8 h post fertiIization(8 hpf)under 28℃ for 3 d. The survivaI and maIformation rates were caIcuIated after 72 hpf,and the effect of GLP on ceII senescence was evaI-uated by senescence associated β-gaIactosidase(SA-β-gaI)staining both in wiId type and p53-knockout zebrafish embryos. In addition,the differentiaI gene expression of cancer inhibitor gene(p53),teIomer-ase reverse transcriptase( TERT),murine doubIe minute2( mdm2)and p21 was examined by RT-PCR both in wiId type and p53-knockout zebrafish embryos after treatment with different concentrations of GLP. RESULTS GLP 1 and 2 g·L-1 had no effect on deveIopment of wiId type zebrafish embryos,but after GLP 3 g·L-1 treatment,most of zebrafish embryos dispIayed maIformation and the survivaI rate was onIy 48.6%. GLP 1,2 and 3 g·L-1 had no effect on survivaI and deveIopment of p53-knockout zebrafish embryos. After GLP 2 g·L-1 treatment for 3 d,the SA-β-gaI staining positive rate of wiId type zebrafish embryos was reduced compared with controI group(P﹤0.01),whiIe there was no significant change in p53-knockout zebrafish embryos. The resuIts of RT-PCR showed that GLP 2 g·L-1 treatment depressed p21 and p53 gene expression(P﹤0.05,P﹤0.01),and had no effect on mdm2 and TERTgene expres-sion of wiId type zebrafish embryos. For p53-knockout zebrafish embryos,the TERT,mdm2,p21 and p53 gene expression dispIayed no significant difference after GLP 2 g·L-1 treatment. CONCLUSlON GLP 2 g·L-1 may improve senescence of wiId type zebrafish embryo ceIIs. GLP ≥3 g·L-1 may Iead to death and abnormaI deveIopment of wiId type zebrafish embryos. The improvement of GLP on senescence of wiId type zebrafish embryo ceIIs might be mediated by its down-reguIation of p21 and p53 gene expression.

Objective To explore the relationship between plasma N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) level and the location and prognosis of acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) in elderly people.Methods From May 2012 to April 2014, the 137 elderly patients (aged≥60 years) with acute STEMI within 24 h after symptoms onset admitted in cardiovascular department of Ningbo First Hospital were selected as acute myocardial infarction group (AMI group), and 40 elderly healthy people (age≥60 years) as control group.The plasma NT-proBNP levels were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA), and compared between the two groups.The patients in AMI group were classified into four subgroups: anterior AMI group (A group, n=44), anterolateral AMI group (B group, n=21), anterior septal AMI group (C group,n=18) and inferior AMI group (D group, n=54), and the changes of plasma NT-proBNP levels in different infarction location were explored.Meanwhile, all patients were followed up for 30 days and 1 year to observe major adverse cardiac events (MACEs) and mortality rate, then to explore the relationship between plasma NT-proBNP level and prognosis in elderly people with STEMI.Results The plasma NT-proBNP levels were significantly higher in AMI group than in control group [(1 406.2±1 322.5)ng/L vs.(63.7±18.5) ng/L, P＜0.01].The changes of plasma NT-proBNP levels in high-to-low sequence were from A group to B group to C group to D group and to control group (P＜0.05).At 30 days, the plasma NT-proBNP levels were higher in death group than in survival group (P＜0.05), and were higher in MACE group than in non-MACE group (P＜0.05).At one year, there were no significant differences in plasma NT-proBNP levels between death group and survival group (P＞0.05), and the plasma NT-proBNP levels were higher in MACE group than in non-MACE group (P＜0.05).Conclusions In elderly STEMI patients, there is a correlation between plasma NT-proBNP levels and infarct location, with the highest NT-proBNP level in anterior AMI.The plasma NT-proBNP level could predict MACE.

ObjectiveTo explore relationship between psychological resilience and life events of Tibetan nursing students receiving free vocational nursing education.Method The questionnaire of Symptom Checklist 90(SCL-90)and ASLEC were used in the survey among 120 nursing students to investigate the psychological resilience and life events and SPSS 17.0 was used to look into the correlations between them.Results The scores on psychological resilience of Tibetan nursing students was higher than the norm (P<0.05).There were negative correlations between life events and psychological resilience(P<0.05).Their psychological resilience was positively related to personal relations and health conditions(P<0.05)but negatively to learning pressure,punishment and losses (P<0.05).Conclusion The school and hospital should make teaching measures to psychologically support them in daily life to strengthen the abilities to handle failure and adjust to the society.

Objective To analyze the changes of P wave of intracavitary electrocardiogram (ECC) in the placement of periph erally inserted central venous catheters (PICC), and to explore whether the intracavitary ECG can be used to guide the procedure. Methods PICC was inserted in 62 adult patients under intracavitary ECC-guided technique. The intracavitary ECC were recorded in different parts of vessel access through micro-guidewire. Results The intracavitary ECG extracted through micro-guidewire were accurately recorded in all patients. The amplitudes of P wave were (1.11 ±0.36)mm, (1.12±0.28)mm,(1.56±0.45)mm, (4.03±1.87)mm, (5.90±2.45)mm, (7.90±2.95)mm, (9.87±2.77)mm, (5.00±1.76)mm, (2.50±1.73)mm when PICC tip was located in the axillary, subclavian and brachiocephalic vein, in the superior, middle and inferior SVC, at the SVC-right atrium junction, and in the middle, inferior right atrium,respectively. The amplitude of P wave was 1.14±0.34mm in 10 patients with PICC tip malposition in the internal jugular vein. Conclusions The intracavitary ECG can be extracted with the microguidewire of PICC system. The amplitude of P wave is related to the location of PICC tip, which can be used to guide the PICC insertion and positioning.

Objective To assess the value of C-reactive protein(CRP) for the prognosis of acute pulmonary embolism (PE). Methods 56 acute pulmonary embolism patients, confirmed by spiral computed tomography (sCT), magnetic resonance imaging(MRI), or pulmonary angiography (CTPA). CRP as well as electrocardiogram (ECG), echocardiography(UCG), blood gas analysis, were taken after admission. Results Among these patients,24 cases with higher CRP(≥10 mg/L),were diagnosed as massive (50.0%), sub-massive PE(45.8%), mini-massive (4.2%) or died(25.0%). 24 cases (100.0%) showed right heart dysfunction and 24 cases showed pulmonary hy-pertension on UCG, right ventricular 20 (83.8%) on ECG, 22 cases (91.7%) showed hypoxemia. 8 cases (33.3%) had syncope,and 9 cases (37.5%) had cardiogenic shock. CRP was lower than 10 mg/L in 32 patients, among whom,3 cases (9.4%) were with massive PE,6 cases (18.8%) were with sub-massive PE,23(71.8%) were with small PE,1 cases(6.3%) died. 13 (40.6%) had right heart dysfunction and 16(50.6%) had pulmona-ry hypertension on UCG, right ventricular on ECG in 15 cases (46.9%), hypoxemia in 11 cases (34.4%), syncope in 2 cases (6.3%), cardiogenic shock in 4 cases (12.5%). The occurrence of massive PE, mortality (P<0.01) and sub-massive PE (P<0.05)were statistically different between the groups with higher CRP and the groups with lower CRP. The ratio of right heart dysfunction, pulmonary hypertension, right ventricular overloading, hypoxemia had statistical significance (P<0.01). There was statistical significance in the occurrence of syncope, cardiogenic shock (P<0.05). Conclusions CRP can be used as a parameter for PE, and can be used to stratify risk levels for severi-ty and assess the effectiveness of treatment.
