Objective To investigate the role of oxidative stress in type 2 diabetes patients with macrovascular complications. Methods Serum levels of 8-hydroxy-deoxygnan osine (8-OHdG) and hemoglobin Alc (HbAlc) in 32 cases of type 2 diabetic patients with macrovascular complications and 46 cases of patients without complications were determined. 8-OHdG was detected by enzyme linked immu-nosorbent assay (ELISA). Results The level of 8-OHdG (2.93±1.37) ng/mL in type 2 diabetic patients with macrovascular complica-tions was higher than those without complications, whose 8-OHdG level was (2.67±1.30)ng/mL, but the difference was not significant(P>0.05). Compared with all kinds of macrovascular complications in patients, the 8-OHdG levels were increased, but the difference were not significant (P>0.05). Compared with patients without complications, the duration and age of the patients with macrovascular compli-cations also increased significantly (P<0.05), but the HbAlc levels were not statistical difference between them (P>0.05). Spearman regression analysis showed that 8-OHdG level was positively correlated with the duration (r=0.33, P<0.05), while the age and HbAlc level had no obvious correlation (P>0.05). Conclusion The role of oxidative stress may not be the important reason in type 2 diabetes with macrovascular complications, but the duration and age of the patients may be closely related with the disease.

Objective To investigate the effects of somatostatin (SST) on levels of IL-6,IL-8 and TNF-αduring CPB in pigs. Methods Twenty four healthy pigs were randomly divided into control group (SS00) and 3 experimental groups, SS05, SS10 and SS20. All pigs were performed by CPB for cardiac arrest in 45 min. the levels of IL-6, IL-10 and TNF-αwere tested and compared. Results The TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-10 levels were higher than T0 among all groups after CPB(P<0.05);The levels of TNF-αand IL-6 after CPB in SS10, SS20 groups were lower than SS00 group(P<0.05), and the IL-10 level was higher(P<0.05). Conclusion Infusing with a certain dose of SST before CPB could down-regulate acute inflammatory response;SST has no impact on the operative safety.

Objective To analyze the medical service capacity of primary healthcare in Zhejiang province since the ongoing healthcare reform and put forward suggestions. Methods Key indicators of healthcare resources and medical service utilization from 2009 to 2015 reflecting the primary healthcare were identified, for a quantitative analysis in terms of the structure-process-outcome dimensions. Results In terms of structural service capacity, the average headcount growth rate of primary healthcare′s technical personnel was 5. 7% per year; the personnel competence structure kept improving; the hospital beds at primary institutions and their ratio among all were slightly decreased, with better devices and informatization. In terms of procedural service capacity, the proportion of primary institutions with contract-based services amounted to 89. 9%,with the standard contract signing rate up to 18. 8%. In terms of consequential service capacity, the average growth rate of the number of outpatient visits at primary institutions was 6. 3%. The amount and proportion of inpatients were slightly decreased, while the hospital bed utilization ratio was increased slightly. Conclusions It is necessary to further strengthen the training and introduction of primary healthcare professionals. The functional orientation of hospitals at various levels should be clarified, encouraging contract-signing of general practitioners, promote the medical insurance payment reform featuring the capitation payment at primary level, and improve the income distribution and incentive mechanism.

Objective To explore the clinical feature of Kimura disease complicated with nephrotic syndrome in children. Methods The clinical data from 4 children with Kimura disease complicated with nephrotic syndrome were retrospectively analyzed. Results In all of the 4 male children, level of serum IgE was increased but level of eosinophils was not increased in peripheral blood. The renal pathological manifestations were different among them. Two cases had acute tubular injury, one case had pathological changes in repeated renal biopsy, and one case had a little of eosinophils infiltration in renal interstitium. All of them were sensitive to oral hormone treatment. Except that one case had no relapse yet in short follow-up period, the other 3 cases had relapsed and all manifested as positive urinary protein without lymphadenectasis. The 3 cases with recurrence were treated by combined immunosuppressive agents, the palindromia of two cases were reduced which were combined with tacrolimus. Conclusion The Kimura disease complicated with nephrotic syndrome in children has a long course and different renal pathological manifestations. It is sensitive to hormone treatment but easy to relapse, and the treatment should be combined with immunosuppressive therapy. Tacrolimus may have the effect on reducing relapse and delaying the progress of renal pathology.

To develop the stable transformants of the silkworm (Bombyx mori) BmN cells that could continuously express the exogenous gene based on a non-transposon vector, an expression cassette containing human granucyto-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (hGM-CSF) gene driven by ie-1 promoter from B. mori nucleopolyhedrovirus was inserted into pIZT-V5-His to form a recombinant vector pIZT-IE-hGM-CSF, followed by transfecting the constructant into BmN cells, the stable ie-hGM-CSF cell lines were obtained after being selected with Zeocin. PCR result using the genomic DNA of the transformed BmN cells as template illustrated a specific fragment of ie-hGM-CSF, and Western blotting analysis using an antibody against hGM-CSF demonstrated a specific band with a molecular weight of 22 kDa in the transformed cells, meanwhile, the expression level of hGM-CSF determined by ELISA was about 2 814.7 pg in 10(6) transformed BmN cells.
