Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2013;(7):18-20
Objective To discuss the distribution of TCM syndromes and clinical characteristics in adult viral pneumonia. Methods Retrospective analysis was carried out during 2009-2012 in 107 cases of adult viral pneumonia with virus antigen and serum virus IgM antibody positive detected with PCR, ELISA and IF method. The clinical symptoms, serology and TCM syndrome type distribution were analyzed. Results The average age of the patients with adult viral pneumonia was 34.78±11.4. The clinical symptoms were mainly fever, cough and sore throat, and defense phase symptoms such as headache and general aching were outstanding. TCM syndromes distribution accounted for 92.52%(99/107) of syndrome of wind-heat invading lung, syndrome of phlegm-heat congesting lung, syndrome of wind-heat with dampness, and syndrome of wind-cold to heat. Syndrome of wind-heat invading lung was commonly seen in disease course ≤7 d, and syndrome of phlegm-heat congesting lung in course >7 d. The viruses were mainly influenza A and B, parainfluenza virus. Among the 107 cases, 86 cases (80.37%) were infected with single virus. There were no significant difference among different pathogens in the distribution of type (P>0.05). Conclusion TCM syndrome distribution of adult viral pneumonia has some characteristics, and has correlation with disease course.

Objective To explore the mechanism of Shema Zhichuan Liquid (SZL) for asthma. Methods Forty rats were allocated to normal control group (Group A), model group (Group B),western medicine group (Group C) and SZL group (Group D). Radioimmunoassay was used to observe the levels of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) and cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) and the ratio of cAMP/cGMP.Results After treatment, cAMP level and cAMP/cGMP ratio were increased and cGMP level decereased in Group C and Group D as compared with Group B (P

Objective: To investigate the protective effect of Feikang Granules (FK) on endodermis scathe of pulmonary vascular in rats with hypoxia induced pulmonary hypertension (HPH). Methods: Hypoxia with intravenous injection FeCl 3 was used to establish model rats with HPH. Hypoxia rats were treated with FK for seven days after hypoxia everyday. Plasma endothelin (ET), superoxide dismutase (SOD), malondialdehyde (MDA) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH PX) in serum were inspected. Results: (1) Those indexes were higher remarkably than control group and showed that the level of series enzyme concerned with oxidation reaction was in unbalance. Pulmonary hypertension and endodermis scathe of pulmonary vascular had happened. (2) The level of ET, MDA, SOD and GSH PX decreased significantly in the treated group. It indicated that FK could inhibit HPH and improve the pathological changes such as endodermis scathe, the unbalance of series enzyme concerned with oxidation reaction. Conclusion:Feikang Granules may partly prevent the development of HPH and endodermis scathe of pulmonary vascular.

Objective To measure the nursing workload in ICU,and provide the basis for the scientific distribution of human resources and reasonable scheduling in ICU.Methods ICU patients of the First and Third People's Hospital of Zigong from July to September,2011 were selected. The TISS-28 and NAS were applied to measure the nursing workload in the ICU.The number of staff nurses on each day and on each shift was recorded. Results The total nursing workload and the per capita nursing workload for each day in a week showed no significant difference, and the per capita nursing workload of different shifts and the needs of nurse-patient ratio of different patients in ICU were significantly different. Conclusions The allocation of nursing staff should be balance for each day in a week and different shifts for each day.The configuration of the nursing human resources should be based on actual nursing workload,no only considering the species of the diseases, the disease condition,self-care ability and cooperation of the patients, but also the proficiency of nurse skills.

Objective To investigate the effect of nano-silver antibacterial dressing on infection control in the patients with diabetic foot. Methods 60 patients with diabetic foot who were treated in our hospital from January 2017 to January 2018 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into intervention group and control group, with 30 cases in each group. Both groups strictly controlled blood glucose levels. After debridement, the intervention group was given nano-silver antibacterial dressing. The control group was given vaseline dressing. The degree of wound pain, the severity of wound ulcer, and the area of ulcer were evaluated at the time of enrollment and 4 weeks after treatment. The ulcer healing time and the number of dressing changes were counted in both groups. Results After intervention, the Wagner grading of the two groups was significantly improved compared with that before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); after treatment, the Wagner grading in the intervention group was significantly better than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After intervention, the ulcer area of the two groups was significantly lower than that before the intervention (P<0.05); the ulcer area in the intervention group was smaller than that in the control group after intervention (P<0.05). The VAS in the two groups after intervention was significantly lower than that before the intervention (P<0.05); the VAS in the intervention group was significantly lower than that in the control group after intervention (P<0.05). The ulcer healing time in the intervention group was significantly shorter than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); the number of dressing changes was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of nano-silver antibacterial dressing can promote the healing of ulcers, reduce the ulcer area, improve the Wagner grading and reduce the number of dressing changes.

AIM: To investigate the effects of advanced glycation end products on activation of Smad signaling pathway and collagenⅠ synthesis in proximal tubular epithelial cells.METHODS: Advanced glycation end products(AGE-BSA) were prepared by incubation of bovine serum albumin(BSA) with D-glucose.Normal rat proximal tubular epithelial(NRK52E) cells were cultured in RPMI-1640 medium with AGE-BSA.Phosphorylation and nuclear translocation of Smad2/3 were examined by immunocytochemistry.Levels of TGF-?_1 in supernatant of cell culture were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Expression of TGF-?_1,Smad2,Smad3 and Smad7 mRNA were detected by RT-PCR.Expression of ?-SMA,E-cadherin and collagenⅠproteins were detected by Western blotting.RESULTS: AGE-BSA induced Smad2/3 phosphorylation and nuclear translocation, two peaks occured at 30 min(68% vs 16%,P
