1.The correlation between CT features and pulmonary function of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Objective To study the correlation between CT features and pulmonary function indexes in dif-ferent chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases(COPD).Methods Collection of COPD patients with 80 cases were collected,,the correlation analysis of COPD CT features (pixel index)and pulmonary function,including one second forced expiratory volume (FEV1 ),one second forced expiratory volume accounted for the percentage of forced vital capacity (FVC)and residual volume /lung total ratio (RV /TLC)were examined by pulmonary function testing (PFT)and multislice spiral CT (MSCT).Results According to CT,the regional area of lung density (LAA%)and airway wall thickness/lumen area were measured,COPD was divided into 56 cases of emphysema phenotype,13 case of airway phenotype and 11 case of mixed phenotype.The emphysema phenotype index,FEV1 ,FEV1 /FVC pixels,RV /TLC =27.68%,(32.19 ±16.78)%,(43.69 ±11.23),(55.67 ±15.49 ),airway phenotype were 5.23%, (55.67 ±23.12)%,(52.30 ±10.67),(49.48 ±13.27),respectively,mixed phenotype were 22.47% (41.23 ± 12.55)%,(47.31 ±9.98),(54.19 ±16.29),FEV1 ,FEV1 /FVC,pixel index,RV /TLC COPD CT in different phe-notypic differences were statistically significant (χ2 =19.013,F =6.234,7.854,6.389,all P <0.05).The emphyse-ma phenotype and airway phenotype in pixel index and FEV1 and FEV1 /FVC were negative correlation (r =-0.67,-0.94,-0.55,-0.42,all P <0.05),showed a positive correlation with RV /TLC (r =0.57,0.37,all P <0.05). Mixed pixel phenotype index and FEV1 ,FEV1 /FVC and RV /TLC were not significantly correlated (r =-0.56,-0.27,0.32,all P >0.05).Conclusion CT features can be regarded as the reference to diagnosis the COPD pheno-type and evaluate the effect of treatment,it is necessary to re -examine PFT in emphysema and airway phenotypes.

Objective To investigate the role of follicle stimulating hormone receptor (FSHR) expression on granulosa cells in ovarian response of women undergoing gonadotropin stimulation. Methods A total of 60 women were recruited and divided into poor, moderate and high responders according to the number of follicles. Based on photon counting mode,a multi-channel continuous-wave(CW) diffuse optical tomography(DOT) system is designed for galactophore inspection.For the acquisition of dynamic information,the instrument adopts the non-intermittent counters to achieve the function of width-adjustable moving gate.The width of the moving gate can be changed from 50 microseconds to about 10 seconds,and correspondingly the total temporal span of the measurement ranges from several milliseconds to tens seconds,depending on the preset gate number.The data transfer as well as the system control is through the universal serial bus(USB) 2.0 technique,with which the system can readily extended for a variety of applications requiring different spatial resolution.

Objective To explore the effect of dietary fat acids on incretin and islet function in healthy adults .Methods Before each test, healthy subjects received a 1-week pre-experiment eucaloric diet .Fifteen subjects consumed two meals containing different fat acids , including high saturated fat acid ( HSF) and high monounsaturated fat acid ( HMF) .On two separate occasions,they underwent a minimum of 1-week washout between meals .At 0,30,60,120,180 and 240 min following meal intake, the plasma concentrations of gastric inhibitory polypeptide (GIP), glucagon-like peptide-1(GLP-1) and serum concentrations of glucose, insulin, triglycerides ( TG) and free fatty acid ( FFA) were measured.Results Postprandial glucose did not increase significantly following HSF and HMF meals (P>0.05).Compared with HMF meal, significant increase in AUCins240min,AUCTG240min and AUCFFA240minwas observed following HSF meal (P<0.05).Compared with HMF meal,a significant decrease in AUCGIP30min, AUCGIP240min, AUCGLP-1 30min and AUCGLP-1 240min was found following HSF meal (P<0.05).No significant difference was observed inΔI30/ΔG30 following HSF and HMF meals (P>0.05). AUCI/AUCG was significantly lower following HMF meal as compared with HSF meal (P<0.05).Conclusion This study demonstrates that the function of GIP ,GLP-1 andβcell is affected by the dietary fat acids in healthy adults .The HMF meal may stimulate GIP and GLP-1 secretion to a greater extent than HSF meal .
7.Experimental study on CT lymphography in evaluating axillary sentinel lymph nodes of rabbit's breast cancer using 3D and curved planar reformation

Objective To study the value of CT lymphography (CT-LG) in evaluating axillary sentinel lymph nodes (SLN) of rabbit with breast cancer using 3D and curved planar reformation (CPR).Methods CT-LG examinations were completed on the VX2 rabbit models bearing breast cancer established by tumor tissue mass suspension injection.All raw data were transferred to a postprocessing workstation, then the 3D and CPR were used to show lymphatic vessel and lymph nodes.On the CT-LG images, one or several lymph nodes displayed firstly in the lymphatic drainage pathway was defined as the SLN which was then confirmed by the biopsy.Results (1) 20 rabbits bearing tumor underwnet CT-LG examinations, and both SLNs and draining lymphatic vessels were detected using 3D and CPR techniques.70% (14/20) of experimental rabbits had fine images, and 16 SLNs and 7 non-SLNs were demonstrated on 14 rabbits on CT-LG images with good quality.(2) 8 continuous lymphatic vessels displayed well, exhibiting a homogeneous and continuous tube with uniform contrast-medium filling on CPR images.Most lymphatic vessels demonstrated well, and the 14 vessels with local interrupt or fuzzy on 3D images showed continuous tubular contrast-filling with heterogeneous high-density on the CPR images from the injection sites to axillary SLN.Among 6 rabbits with poor images, 3 rabbits showed the SLN but without lymphatic vessels on 3D images, 2 showed only initial segment of lymphatic vessel,and 1 had no lymphatic vessel and SLN.(3) A total 24 SLNs were obtained by SLNB,including 18 metastatic SLNs and 6 negative ones.On CT-LG images, there were statistical differences between the metastatic and negative SLNs in the maximum diameter and filling defect (P=0.041 and P=0.001, respectively).However, the short diameter, shape and margin of SLNs had no statistical differences between the two groups (all P>0.05).Conclusion On CT-LG examinations, 3D and CPR images may show axillary SLNs and lymphatic vessels effectively,and CPR can demonstrate more details than 3D.The maximum diameter and fillingdefect of SLN are helpful for distinguishing metastatic and negative SLNs.
8.Research on the protocol of limited ovarian stimulation to prevent ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome

Objective To investigate whether the limited ovarian stimulation (LOS) could avoid the severe ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) in patients with high risk of OHSS. Methods Ten infertile patients were diagnosed as polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS) with high risk of OHSS. All of them were arranged LOS cycles, a long-induction protocol using gonadotropin releasing hormone agonist (GnRHa) for controlled ovarian hyperstimulation. A full dose of human chorionic gonadotropin (10 000 U) was administered when the leading follicle reached a mean diameter of 12.0-14.5 mm. Oocytes were retrieved 36 hours later, followed by conventional in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) and embryo transfer. Results Ten patients produced 11-35 oocytes, including 4-28 oocytes of metaphase Ⅱ. Embryos were transferred in all of ten patients and eight clinical pregnancies were diagnosed. Unfortunately, ectopic pregnancy occurred in one of the patients. None of them experienced the symptoms of OHSS. Conclusions LOS may play a valuable role in preventing OHSS and achieving enough mature oocytes for the patients of PCOS. Furthermore, this protocol would not reduce the pregnancy rate of the patients.
10.Effect of Zhenganxifeng Decoction and Buyanghuanwu Decoction on Early Rehabilitation of Stroke

Objective To observe the effect of Zhenganxifeng decoction and Buyanghuanwu decoction on the early rehabilitation of the stroke.Methods 101 cases with acute stroke were randomly divided into the treatment group(n=51) and control group(n=50).All patients were treated with routine medical therapy,physiotherapy and electric stimulation for a month.The treatment group was treated with Zhenganxifeng decoction while the control group with Buyanghuanwu decoction in addition.Results The motor function and Activities of Daily Living(ADL) in both groups were improved after treatment,but were better in treatment group than in control group(P<0.01).Conclusion It is better to use Zhenganxifeng decoction in the early rehabilitation of the stroke than Buyanghuanwu decoction.
