Objective To investigate the effect of transitional care of physical and mental health of the thoracic spinal cord injury and paraplegic patients discharged on its recovery. Methods Randomized controlled analysis of patients in Spine and Spinal Cord Injury Surgery between June 2014 to October 2015, a total of 65 patients with thoracic spinal cord injury and paraplegic were studied, according to hospital mantissa odd and even numbers divided into observation group (35 cases) and control group (30 cases). The observation group was instituted to extending posthospital care, not the control group. The self-care ability and psychological state were evaluated by Function Independent Measure (FIM), Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA), Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD)within discharge and in 3 months. And the incidence of complications between the two groups were compared. Results At discharge, the difference of FIM, HAMA, HAMD score between the observation group and the control group was not statistically significant (P>0.05). Discharged after 3 months, the score of FIM, HAMA, HAMD in observation group was(72.35 ± 4.35),(4.80 ± 4.50),(12.13 ± 7.25)points, (63.95 ± 5.02),(10.15 ± 4.91), (19.48 ± 8.31)points in control group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (t=-4.798, 3.524, 3.110, P<0.01). There was no significant difference in the incidence of pulmonary infection and blood clots between two groups (P > 0.05); The incidence of urinary tract infection, pressure ulcers, constipation were 8.57% (3/35), 5.71% (2/35), 17.14% (6/35) in observation group, 40.00% (12/30), 33.33%(10/30), 63.33%(19/30) in control group, there were significant differences between, two groups (χ2= 4.324, 4.219, 5.337, P < 0.05). Conclusions Transitional care can significantly improve the psychological state of patients with thoracic spinal cord injury and paraplegia discharged, reduce the incidence of complications and improve quality of life.

Journal of Environment and Health 2007;0(12):-
Objective To observe the effects of different folate levels on inorganic arsenic-induced cytotoxicity and oxidative stress status. Methods Chang human hepatocytes were cultured with 20 ?mol/L sodium arsenite (NaAsO2) in medium containing 0 ?mol/L, 2.3 ?mol/L and 10 ?mol/L of folate, respectively. After 24 h of treatment with NaAsO2, cell viability was analyzed with 3- (4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) method, apoptosis was assessed by Annexin V/PI double staining, levels of ROS were detected by 2’,7’-dichlorodihydrofluorescein diacetate (DCFH-DA) probe, and intracellular reduced glutathione (GSH) and malondialdehyde (MDA) content were determined by DTNB method and formation of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances, respectively. Results The decrease of cell viability and the increase of intracellular ROS and MDA induced by NaAsO2 were significantly exacerbated by folate deficiency but attenuated by folate supplement (P

Objective: To discuss the applied effect of high frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation combined with cognitive intervention for stroke patients with aphasia. Methods: 84 stroke patients with aphasia were divided into observation group (42 cases)and control group (42 cases). Patients of control group were treated by routine intervention of language training, while patients of observation group were treated by high frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation combined with cognitive intervention. A series of evaluated indicators, such as the language function score of Boston diagnostic aphasia examination(BDAE), the anxiety symptom score of Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA), the quality of life and degree of satisfaction, were adopted to compare the post-treatment effect for the two groups. Results: After the treatment, there were statistical significance in the difference of understanding, retelling ability, reading ability and writing ability about BDAE scores between the two groups (t=3.572, t=4.482, t=6.238, t=3.013; P<0.05), and the HAMA scores of observation group was significant higher than those of control group (t=3.472, P<0.05). Besides, through different interventions, the series of indicators about quality of life, such as physical function, mental function, social function and material function, of observation group were higher than those of control group (t=4.513, t=3.923, t=4.473, t=4.033; P<0.05). And the satisfaction of observation group was significant higher than that of control group (x2=5.233, P<0.05). Conclusion: The clinical effect of high frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation combined with cognitive intervention for stroke patients with aphasia is favorable. And this method can increase quality of life and satisfaction for patients, and can extremely reduce medical dispute and improve the therapeutic level of hospital for stroke patients with aphasia.

Chinese Journal of Infectious Diseases 2001;0(06):-
Objective To construcr a phage display library of human single-chain Fv antibodies from peripheral blood lymphocytes of people with positive serum antibody against hepatitis B virus core protein. Methods The heavy chain and light chain variable region gene of human immunoglobulin were amplified individually by RT-PCR from peripheral blood Lymphocytes mRNA of patients with positive serum hepatitis B virus core protein antibody and randomly combined through a DNA linker encoding the peptide (Gly 4Ser) 3 to construct single-chain variable fragments (ScFv)gene. In the presence of helper phage M13KO7, the ScFv were displayed on the surface of recombinant phages. Results Repertoire antibody library was obtained with 10 6 clonies resistant to ampicillin and kanamycin. Conclusions A typical phage display library of human single-chain Fv antibodies has been constructed Using RT-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and phage display technique, human single-chain Fv antibodies can be screened from this library.

BACKGROUND: Cytridinie triphosphate(CTP) is predominantly used for cerebrovascualr accident and its sequelae, brain concussion, cerebral arteriosclerosis, senile dementia. What about its effect on diabetic peripheral neuropathies?OBJECTIVE: To observe the efficacy of cytridine triphosphate in improving nerve function and nerve conduction velocity in diabetic peripheral neuropathy.DESIGN: A prospective and randomized and controlled trial based on the patients.SETTING: Endocrine department of a military medical university.SUBJECTS: Totally 50 patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy, hospitalized in Endocrine Department of Xijing Hospital of Fourth Military Medical University, were enrolled in this study from September 1999 to February 2000. All the patients were according to the including criteria, including 28 male and 22 female patients. They were randomly divided into treatment and control group averagely. Informed consent was obtained from all patients.METHODS: The 25 patients in treatment group received daily intravenous injection of 60 mg CTP. The other 25 in the control group received 100 mg vitamin B1 and 500 μg vitamin B12 and 20 mg scopolamine(654-2) and 100 mL saline as well every day. The treatment lasted for 14 days. The nerve conduction velocity was orthodromicly measured by surface electrode.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Nerve conduction velocity in both groups.RESULTS: After treatment, the nerve conduction velocities of median nerve, ulnar nerve, fibular nerve, tibial nerve in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05- 0. 01 ) . The neurological symptom and sign score in the treatment group(1. 4 ± 0.5, 3.0 ± 0.5) was less than that in the control group(2.6±0.3, 4.0±0.3) (t=3.255,2.005, P <0.05).CONCLUSION: CTP is effective in improving nerve conduction velocity in diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
