This paper is devoted to discussing two research patterns of biological basis of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome and presenting a research strategy for data mining methods. It points out that data mining methods which are based on feature selection are better fit for investigating biological basis of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome. Based on such a discussion, the concept of "characteristic pattern" is proposed to bridge the gap between "golden index" and biological basis of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome. This paper presents a novel research avenue for investigating biological basis of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome.

Objective To investigate the effect and clinical efficacy of pranoprofen eye drops on lysozyme, EGF and LF levels in type 2 diabetic patients with dry eye syndrome.Methods70 Type 2 diabetes patients with dry eye from department of ophthalmology, Yuyao People's Hospital of Zhejiang Province from September 2013 to May 2015.They were selected and randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group with 35 cases in each group.The control group were treated by artificial tears eye drops 0.1mL/time, 6 times/day treatment.The treatment group were treated on the base of the control group with pranoprofen eye drops 0.15mL/eye drops, 4 times/day treatment.2 groups were 14 days for 1 courses of treatment, a total of 2 courses of treatment.The tear break-up time, basal lacrimal secretion, corneal fluorescein staining positive rate and clinical efficacy were compared between two groups before and after treatment.ResultsWith the total effective rate in the treatment group,was higher than the control group(P<0.05).Compared with before treatment, the tear break-up time prolonged, basal lacrimal secretion, tear lysozyme, EGF and LF levels were higher(P<0.05), the positive reaction rate of corneal fluorescence staining was lower(P<0.05).Compared with the control group after treatment, the tear break-up time prolonged, basal lacrimal secretion, tear lysozyme, EGF and LF levels were higher(P<0.05), the positive reaction rate of corneal fluorescence staining was lower(P<0.05).ConclusionThe clinical efficacy of pranoprofen eye drops in type 2 diabetic patients with dry eye syndromeis good.It is speculated that the mechanism and tear break-up time prolonged, basal lacrimal secretion increase and lysozyme, epidermal growth factor(EGF)and the level of LF increased.

Objective To investigate clinical effect of breviscapine combined with nerve growth factor in treatment of ischemic optic neuropathy . Methods 80 patients with ischemic optic neuropathy from March 2014 to March 2016 in our hospital were selected and divided into the control group and observation group, 40 cases in each group.The control group was treated with nerve growth factor, hip injection 30ug, one times a day, while the observation group was treated with breviscapine combined with nerve growth factor, 80 mg breviscapine added to 500 mL glucose intravenous infusion, one times a day.Then the changes of visual acuity, visual field loss difference (LV), the average damage of vision (MD), the average vision light sensitivity ( MS ) , adverse reactions, curative effect were compared between two groups.Results After treatment, the total effective rate in the observation group was significantly higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), the visual acuity of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), LV, MD was significantly lower than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), MS was significantly higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no difference in adverse reactions between the two groups.Conclusion Breviscapine combined with nerve growth factor in the treatment of ischemic optic neuropathy can improve nerve function of patients , improve the therapeutic effect.

Objective To investigate the effect of transitional care of physical and mental health of the thoracic spinal cord injury and paraplegic patients discharged on its recovery. Methods Randomized controlled analysis of patients in Spine and Spinal Cord Injury Surgery between June 2014 to October 2015, a total of 65 patients with thoracic spinal cord injury and paraplegic were studied, according to hospital mantissa odd and even numbers divided into observation group (35 cases) and control group (30 cases). The observation group was instituted to extending posthospital care, not the control group. The self-care ability and psychological state were evaluated by Function Independent Measure (FIM), Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA), Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD)within discharge and in 3 months. And the incidence of complications between the two groups were compared. Results At discharge, the difference of FIM, HAMA, HAMD score between the observation group and the control group was not statistically significant (P>0.05). Discharged after 3 months, the score of FIM, HAMA, HAMD in observation group was(72.35 ± 4.35),(4.80 ± 4.50),(12.13 ± 7.25)points, (63.95 ± 5.02),(10.15 ± 4.91), (19.48 ± 8.31)points in control group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (t=-4.798, 3.524, 3.110, P<0.01). There was no significant difference in the incidence of pulmonary infection and blood clots between two groups (P > 0.05); The incidence of urinary tract infection, pressure ulcers, constipation were 8.57% (3/35), 5.71% (2/35), 17.14% (6/35) in observation group, 40.00% (12/30), 33.33%(10/30), 63.33%(19/30) in control group, there were significant differences between, two groups (χ2= 4.324, 4.219, 5.337, P < 0.05). Conclusions Transitional care can significantly improve the psychological state of patients with thoracic spinal cord injury and paraplegia discharged, reduce the incidence of complications and improve quality of life.

Abstract Blood donation institutions mainly rely on manual identification for pre-donation health screening of blood donors. To further ensure the safety of blood donation and minimize the participation of unqualified donors, Ningbo Central Blood Station developed and launched a pre-blood donation health screening software as a supplement to the manual identification in May 2023. The software establishes preset rules based on the conditions of donors who are ineligible or temporarily ineligible to donate blood in Whole Blood and Component Donor Selection Requirements (GB 18467-2011), retrieves the health records of blood donors from the Ningbo National Health Information System and compares with the preset rules. When a preset rule is triggered, the medical examiner receives a warning. The pre-donation health screening software effectively enhances the capabilities of blood donation institutions in identifying unqualified donors. It is conducive to promoting the standardization of the pre-donation health screening process, the intelligence of blood donation services and blood management, and the establishment of a more scientific and efficient pre-donation health screening procedure.

Objective To assess the cesarean section scar morphology and size with transvaginal ultrasound and the healing of incision diverticulum after the repairing operation.Methods Forty cases with cesarean section scar defects needed repairing operation,40 cases of cesarean section without symptoms and 40 cases of vaginal delivery were involved.The scar condition and measured the size of cesarean section defects were observed.For the 40 cases needed repairing operation,the healing of the scar and measured the size of the defects were observed which still existed before and after the surgery.For the transvaginal delivery cases the thickness of uterine isthmus were measured.Results After the scar defects repairing operation,there were 9 cases who still had diverticulum,but the defects were smaller than that before operation (P <0.05).The symptoms were relieved.Among the 40 asymptomatic cases,there were 1 1 cases had defects,but the diverticulum were smaller than that of needed operation patients (P < 0.05 ). Conclusions The transvaginal ultrasound is a noninvasive and convenient method to observe the cesarean section scar.

Objective To investigate the security characteristics of rural young boarding pupils and its influencing factors.Methods 210 boarding and 265 non-boarding rural young pupils of Huojia in Henan were tested by questionnaires,including of a self-developed questionnaire,security questionnaire and adolescent mental resilience scale.Results ①The scores of the interpersonal security (25.99 ± 5.53),the determine control sense factor (24.63 ±6.17) and the total security(50.62 ± 10.37) in the boarding pupils were statistically lower than non-boarding pupils (27.36 ± 6.38,26.00 ± 6.55,53.36 ± 11.77,P ＜0.05).②There were statistically significant difference in the scores of the interpersonal security,the determine control sense factor and the total security among the different grades(P＜0.05),but there were no statistically sex difference in the scores(P ＞ 0.05).③Group regression analysis showed that,no family factors in the young boarding pupils had influence on the score of the security sense factors and the total (P＞0.05),and marital relationship of parents,only child,father' s and mother(')s education background of non-boarding pupils had certain influence on the score of the interpersonal security,the determine control sense factor and the total security (β =-0.43-0.27,P＜ 0.05).④The group regression analysis showed that,the problem solving and self-efficacy,parents'high expectations in mental toughness respectively had some effect on the interpersonal security of boarding and non-boarding pupils(β =-0.15,β =0.25,P＜0.05),and social ability and family care,schools resilience respectively had influence on the determine control sense in boarding and non-boarding pupils (β =-2.91-2.87,P＜0.05),and social ability,parents'high expectations respectively had influence on the total security in boarding and non-boarding pupils (β =-0.17,β=0.22,P＜0.05).Conclusion The security-sense in boarding young pupils are lower than the non-boarding young pupils,and family factors and mental toughness have different effects on security-sense of two kinds pupils.

Objective To evaluate the dynamic changes of T lymphocyte subsets in children with hand-foot-and-mouth disease(HFMD)and to provide new evidence for the therapy and prognosis.Methods Peripheral venous blood samples of 346 HFMD cases in acute stage who were hospitalized in Beijing Ditan Hospital from May 1,2008 to August 31,2008 were collected and T lymphocyte subsets were assayed by flow cytometer.Meanwhile,T lymphocyte subsets of 67 HFMD cases in recovery phase were also detected.The pathogens were determined by reverse transcriptionpolymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)using pharynx swab samples from 99 cases.Different samples were compared by independent-sample t test,paired t test or variance analysis.Results The average levels of T lymphocyte subsets of HFMD children in different agc groups were all lower than reference levels of healthy children in according age groups.In severe cases.T lymphocyte(TL)/lymphocyte (L)ratio in all age groups,helper T cell(Th)/L ratio in children older than 1 year,TL,Th and Th/suppressor T cell(Ts)ratio in children of 1-2 years old were all lower than those in common eases (P＜0.05).The Th/L ratio tended to increase with the disease progression.Ratios of TL/L and Th/L in common cases were increased in recovery phase(TL/L:56.3±8.6 vs 61.1±9.1,t=2.56,P＜0.05;Th/L:30.2±7.2 vs 34.9±7.9,t=2.90,P＜0.05)and all indices of severe cases except Ts/Lratio and Th/Ts ratio increased apparently in recovery phase(P＜0.01).TL[(1.738±0.976)×10~6/Lvs(2.696±1.946)×10~6/L,t=2.17,P＜0.05],Th/L ratio(25.9±7.0 vs 30.2±7.2,t=2.34,P＜0.05),Th[(0.864±0.550)×10~6/L vs(1.459±0.879)×10~6/L,t=2.90,P＜0.01]and L[(3.352±1.458)×10~6/L vs(4.664±2.435)×10~6/L,t=2.32,P＜0.05]of severe cases in acute phase were all lower than those of common cases(P＜0.05),while those were not significantly different in recovery phase between two groups(P＞0.05).The T lymphocyte subsets of enterovirus(EV)71 positive cases were lower than EVT1 negative cases,but there was no significant difference between these two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion T lymphocyte immune responses may be correlated with HFMD onset and progression.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the capabilities of nosocomial infection control in local general hospitals in handling public health emergencies,and to provide reliable data for future work.METHODS A random sampling questionnaire method was adopted to investigate how nosocomial infection control in local hospitals performed their functions and handled public health emergencies.RESULTS The 15 hospitals which were surveyed had all been equipped with computer network of directly reporting epidemic situations of infectious diseases.Four from 15 hospitals had full-time employees reporting epidemic situations,and 11 had part-time employees.Twelve hospitals established,according to standards,a department of infectious diseases or a department of pre-examination and sorting diagnosis.Seven hospitals did not have full-time staff of infection control till 2003.The rate of the staff's knowledge of nosocomial infection control was 73.7%.The medical wastes of the 15 hospitals were all disposed at the local medical waste disposal center.CONCLUSIONS Our city,in terms of nosocomial infection control,has acquired certain capabilities of handling public health emergencies.But the capabilities vary from hospital to hospital.Further improvement in some work is still needed.

Objective To understand the infection status and variation tendercy of Enterobius vermicularis infection among children at national monitoring spots of soil-transmitted nematodosis from 2006 to 2010,and master the epidemic regularity,so as to provide the evidence for making control strategy and evaluating the control effect. Methods A total of 22 national monitor-ing spots of soil-transmitted nematodosis were established according to the National Surveillance Program of Soil-Transmitted Ne-matodiasis(Trial),and the children aged 3-12 years were examined through adhesive cellophane anal swabs,then the infec-tion rates of children with different ages,genders,nationalities and education levels were analyzed. In addition,the advantage, disadvantage,opportunity and threat of the monitoring work were analyzed by SWOT analysis. Results A total of 17 068 chil-dren were examined in 22 monitoring spots from 2006 to 2010,and 1 363 of them were found being infected with E. vermicu-laris,the average infection rate was 7.99%,and the infection rates of male and female children were 7.39%and 8.70%,respec-tivel;the average infection rates in each year were 10.01%,9.68%,7.41%,6.96%and 6.57%,respectively. From 2006 to 2009,the infection rates of E. vermicularis in children in Fujian Province was the highest,which were 56.15%,53.42%, 37.82%and 49.53%,respectively,but in 2010,the infection rate in Guangdong Province(46.06%)was the highest. The fur-ther analysis demonstrated that the female children,3-6 age group,Li nationality and children at kindergarten stage had relative-ly high infection rates. The SWOT analysis showed that the advantage of E. vermicularis monitoring in China was its wide cover-age and continuity,and the disadvantage was the relatively small investment from the government,the opportunity was that the national monitoring spot could drive the monitoring work at the provincial,county and other levels,and the threat was that the work was paid less and less attention to in recent years. Conclusion Though the infection rate of E. vermicularis in children at national monitoring spots of soil-transmitted nematodosis has been decreased year by year,high-endemic areas still exist,and thus the work on enterobiasis control and prevention still needs to be strengthened.
