2.Effect of metabolic syndrome on patients with impaired glucose regulation in regard to cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2013;29(11):965-967
The effect of metabolic syndrome on patients with pre-diabetes in regard to cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases (CCVD) was investigated. The subjets with pre-diabetes were divided into metabolic syndrome (MS) group and non-MS.Follow-up after the baseline survey, the new-onset cardiovascular events of patients were collected. The incidence of CCVD in the MS group was 5.66%,being higher than 1.88% in non-MS group (P<0.05).After factors being corrected, compared with the non-MS group, the relative risk (RR) of CCVD in MS group was 2.616 (95% CI 1.328-5.153).Compared to only 1 component of MS patients, the risks of CCVD in MS component 2,≥3 patients were increased by 29% (HR =1.29) and 62% (HR =1.62).Metabolic syndrome may increase the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in pre-diabetes populations. The occurrence of CCVD and MS content showed a dose-dependent relationship.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 2001;0(03):-
Objective: To study the microcosmic and pathological changes of compressed premaxillary suture in rabbit models with the cleft in premaxilla.Method: 12 male New Zealand rabbits, at the age of 3 weeks were designed randomly into 3 groups with 4 in each. In group 1and 2 a retropress force of 2.24 and 1.12 N was applied on the maxilla of the animals respectively. The other group was the control. The experimental animals were killed and compressed premaxilla suture specimens were examined by microscopy and electron microscopy 3,6,9 and 12 weeks after operation respectively. Result:In group 1 disturbance of microstructure and degeneration of osteoblasts were observed 3 and 6 weeks after application of the compress force. In control group normal bone structure and development of maxilla were observed. The microcosmic changes in group 2 were similar to those in group 1, but slighter. The microcostructure in the compressed premaxilla tended to be normal 9 weeks after operation. Conclusion:Compress force on premaxillary suture may result in limited pathological changes of the bone during early developing stage.

Chinese Journal of Prevention and Control of Chronic Diseases 2006;0(02):-
Objective To study the levels of serum apolipoproteins in the middle aged in Qingdao city. Methods 2 287 subjects(male 1 631,female 656) aged 35~59(44.70?5.99) yrs in Qingdao city were randomly recruited.Their serum Apolipoprotein B(ApoB) and Apolipoprotein E(ApoE) were measured by immunoturbidimetry assay. Results The results of ApoAI,ApoB,ApoE and ApoB/AI were(1.36?0.22)g/L,(0.99?0.26)g/L,(4.89?1.83)mg/dl and 0.75?0.23,respectively.The abnormal ratios of Apo AI,Apo B,Apo E and ApoB/AI were 12.77%,29.03%,28.82% and 6.56%,respectively.With the partial correlation analysis adjusted by age,sex and BMI,the cardiovascular risk factors score were positively related with the level of Apo AI,and negatively related with ApoB,ApoE and ApoB/AI.Conclusion There was a close relationship of cardiovascular risk factors score with serum ApoB/AI,ApoB and ApoE.

Objecfive To investigate the prevalence of Ureaplasma urealyticum(UU)and Mycoplasma hominis(MH)infections in urogenital tract and their sensitivities to drugs in Qinhuangdao area from 2006 to 2007.Methods UU and MH were detected by Mycoplasma IST kits in urine samples from 3062 patients suspected as urogenital tract infection and the sensitivity tests for 8 antimicrobial agents were performed. Results Mycolasmas were detected in 1262 patients from 3062 patients suspected as urogenital tract infection,in which 1037 were of UU infection,41 were of MH infection and 184 were of UU+MH infection. Both strains were sensitive to josamycin, doxycycline and tetracycline, but were less sensitive to ofloxacin and ciprofloxacin. Conclusions Drug resistance is increasing for Mycoplasma and sensitivity test is important in treatment of urogenital tract infection by Mycoplasma.

Chinese Journal of Internal Medicine 2008;47(8):638-641
Objective To investigate the state of oxidative stress in the subjects with different levels of serum uric acid and to explore the cause of endothelial dysfunction induced by hyperuricemia. Methods Male subjects with normal serum uric acid or hyperuricemia were enrolled in this study. According to the levels of serum uric acid, all the partieipante were divided into five groups. Every group consisted of about fifty subjects. Plasma malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px) were determined. In the mean time plasma nitric oxide(NO) ,plasminogen activator inhihitor-1(PAI-1), endothelin-1 (ET-1) and other biochemical variables were also determined. Results When the serum uric acid level was more than 380 μmol/L, the levels of plasma MDA,SOD,GSH-Px, PAI-1 and ET-1 became higher, while the level NO became lower(P<0.05). However SOD and GSH-Px became much lower when the serum uric acid level was more than 420 μmol/L. Multivariate stepwise regressive analysis showed that PAI-1 was positively related to MDA,UA,HOMA-IR and TG, but negatively related to SOD and NO(t =-3.64 - 6. 08,P < 0.05). ET-1 was positively related to MDA, UA, HOMA-IR and negatively related to NO, GSH-Px and SOD (t = - 4.75 - 6.35,P < 0.05 ). Conclusions It is indicated that oxidative stress became much obvious when the serum uric acid level was more than 380 μmol/L . Oxidative stress, high serum uric acid level and insulin resistance may result in endothelial dysfunction.
