1.Effects of lie on mental health and the marriage quality of pilot's couples

Objective To investigate the effects among social mature,mental health and marriage quality of pilot's couples. Methods SCL-90,EPQ and ENRICH were conducted in 288 of pilot's couples. Correlation,regression were analyzed with SPSS 15.0 software. Results The marriage quality of pilot was significantly affected by the social mature and mental health of pilot himself(β=0.203,-0.274,P<0.001);meanwhile the marriage quality of pilot's wife was significantly affected by the mental health of pilot's couples(β=-0.276,-0.185,P<0.01). Conclusion The social mature and mental health of pilot's couples has a great influence in their marriage quality,so the social mature and mental health of pilot's couples should be taken into the system of the psychological counseling and therapy for pilots.
2.Clinical study of pelvic autonomic nerve preservation in curative excision of male patients with rectal cancer

Objective To evaluate the effects of pelvic autonomic nerve preservation (PANP) during the radical resection of rectal carcinoma on the sexual and urinary function of male patients.Methods The sexual and urinary dysfunction rates from 45 male patients who undergone PANP and 45 control patients who did not undergo PANP during radical resection of rectal carcinoma were analyzed.Results In the PANP group,the incidences of erectile dysfunction,ejaculatory dysfunction and urinary dysfunction were 26.67%,24.44% and 28.89%,respectively.But in control group,the above three rates were 57.78%,60.00% and 62.22% in order.The rates of these three dysfunctions significantly were different between the two groups ( x2 =8.92,11.66,10.08,P < 0.01 ).Conclusion PANP during radical resection of rectal carcinoma could reduce the post-operative sexual dysfunction and urinary dysfunction.
3.Toxic effect of carboxyl-terminal peptide of β-amyloid precursor protein (APPC31) on Neuro2a cells

Objective To investigate the toxic effect of the carboxyl-terminal peptide of β-amyloid precursor protein (APPC31) on Neuro2a cells as well as its role in the toxic process in Neuro2a cells induced by Aβ42 in vitro.Methods The plasmid vector and the APPC31 construct were transiently transfected into Neuro2a cells respectively by lipofectamine 2000.The viability of the cells was measured by the 3-(4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay at 48 h after transfection,and their morphocytology was observed by 4', 6-diamidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI) nucleus staining.Afterword different constructs including vector, WTAPP695, APP( D664A), the amino-terminal peptide of β-amyloid precursor protein (APP△C31) and APPC31 were transiently transfected into Neuro2a cells respectively via the same method.At 24 h after transfection Aβ42 was added into the culture medium of Neuro2a cells with the desired concentration for another 24 h for cell studies.The viabihty and morphocytology of the cells were measured by using the MTT assay and DAPI nucleus staining, respectively.Results When incubated in the absence of Aβ42, the viability of cells transfected with vector and APPC31construct were 0.81 ±0.10 and 0.88 ±0.12 respectively, and accordingly there was no significant difference between the these two groups (t = - 0.78, P = 0.48 ); meanwhile no obvious cell nuclear morphological changes of apoptosis or death occurred.However when incubated in the presence of Aβ42, the viability of cells transfected with vector, WTAPP695, APP( D664A), APP△C31 and APPC31 constructs were 0.82 ±0.01, 0.78 ±0.03, 0.55 ±0.04, 0.81 ±0.04, 0.78 ±0.02 and 0.54 ±0.02 respectively.The viability of cells transfected with WTAPP construct and APPC31 construct decreased significantly ( F = 47.53, P <0.05) compared with the control group, meanwhile cells displayed condensed nuclear and even nuclear fragmentation.Conclusions In vitro, over-expression of a certain level of APPC31 in Neuro2a cells fails in causing cell death, but this short peptide enhances cytotoxicity induced by Aβ42 in Neuro2a cells.Thus,these results provide the experimental basis for the further explication of the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease.
4.Analysis of variants located in 3'UTR regions of NOTCH1 and JAG1 genes for children with conotruncal heart defects

Objective · To explore the correlation between variants located in 3' untranslated regions (3'UTR) of NOTCH1 and JAG1 genes and conotruncal heart defects (CTD). Methods · Six hundred CTD children without 22q11 deletion and three hundred healthy children were enrolled in this hospital-based case-control study. Variants located in the 3'UTR regions of NOTCH1 and JAG1 genes were detected by high-throughput sequencing. The accuracy of the variants were verified by PCR and Sanger sequencing. Online software PicTar, TargetScan and microRNA.org were used to make functional predictions. Results · One mutation and three SNPs were found in the 3'UTR of NOTCH1. Three mutations and six SNPs were found in the 3'UTR of JAG1. The genotypic distributions of two SNPs (rs3840074 and rs8708) located in JAG13'UTR between CTD group and the controls were statistically significant (both P<0.05). Results of prediction showed that all the four mutations and two meaningful SNPs could bind to microRNA. Conclusion · The variants located in 3'UTR regions of NOTCH1 and JAG1 genes may be related to the occurrence of CTD.
5.Examination of gastrointestinal transmitting function with small amount of barium meal and its clinical significance

Objective To investigate the effect, preponderance and clinical significance of the examination of gastrointestinal transmitting function with small amount of barium meal. Methods Thirty cases of healthy subjects and 50 patients with constipation swallow 40 g barium meal once, then abdominal fluoroscopy or plain films were taken until barium meal being egested totally. Results The transit time of stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum and the whole digestive tract were (189?64)minutes, (330?108)minutes, (2239?659)minutes, (136?49)minutes, (2801?735)minutes in healthy subjects and (212?87)minutes, (366?94)minutes, (3665?1322)minutes, (650?219)minutes, (5973?2341)minutes in constipation patients respectively. The transit time of colon and rectum in constipation patients was obviously longer than that of healthy subjects (P0.05). Conclusion The pictures of the examination with small amount barium meal are clear, precise, reliable, and provide exact data for constipation classification.
6.The Role of Splenectomy in the Prevention and Treatment of Small-for-size Syndrome

Objective To explore the pathophysiologic mechanism of the development of a small-for-size syndrome(SPSS) and the role of splenectomy in the prevention and treatment of SFSS.Methods The rat models of sham-operation and 80% partial hepatectomy were established.Totally 144 rats were randomly divided into 3 groups:1)splenectomy group:splenectomy was performed following 80% partial hepatectomy;2)control group:80% partial hepatectomy was performed;3)sham group:no hepatectomy was performed.After the operation,we examined the portal venous pressures(PVP),tumor necrosis factor(TNF-α) and proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA) expression,the activity of myeloperoxidase(MPO),liver function and explored the prevalence of SFSS.Results Compared with the sham group,the PVP of the rats in the control group obviously elevated after hepatectomy,and the expression level of TNF-a and the activity of MPO in the liver significantly increased(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the PVP,the expression of TNF-a in the livers and the activity of MPO at the corresponding time points after hepatectomy in the splenectomy group significantly decreased,while the expression of PCNA in-creased(P<0.05).Administration of splenectomy resulted in a statistically significant decrease in aspartate transaminase(AST),alanine transaminase(ALT),lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),total bilirubin.and the incidence of SFSS(P<0.05).Conclusion Splenectomy could alleviate liver injury,promote liver regeneration in small-for-size liver rats by reducing portal vein perfusion and pressure and the subsequent expression of proinflammatory mediators.
7.Preliminary study on detecting drug-resistance mycobacterium tuberculosis by using DNA microarray hybridization

AIM:To detect the drug-resistance mycobacterium tuberculosis by using DNA microarray hybridization.METHODS: DNA microarray for detecting drug-resistance of mycobacterium tuberculosis was prepared; Clinical isolated strains were cultivated and their drug-resistance sensitivity was detected. The genome DNA of mycobacterium tuberculosis was prepared and the drug-resistance genes of the mycobacterium tuberculosis were amplified by PCR. Then the gene chip was hybridized, washed, detected and analyzed. RESULTS: Results of cultivating mycobacterium tuberculosis and detecting the drug-resistance sensitivity: one strain was drug-sensitive; four strains were multi-drug-resistant; The detecting results of the drug-resistance was consistent with the results of diagnosis therapy of the 5 clinical patients. The detecting results of gene chip confirmed the above facts. CONCLUSION: Detecting drug-resistance mycobacterium tuberculosis by the gene chip is precise, fast and highly-efficient.

Objective To investigate the correlation between ACE gene polymorphisms and stroke of Han nationality people in Fangshan district of Beijing. Methods The Insertion/Deletion(ID) polymorphisms of ACE gene were detected in 63 patients with cerebral hemorrhage,and 713 patients with cerebral infarction and 235 health control by polymerase chain reaction(PCR). We observed the frequencies of genotype of deletion homozygote(DD),insertion homozygote(II) and insertion/deletion heterozygote (ID) and the alleles of D and I. Also we analyzed the association among I/D polymorphisms of ACE gene with serum glucose(GLU),triglyceride(TG),cholesterol(TC) levels. Results There was no significant difference in the frequencies of both genotypes of DD,ID,II and alleles of D and I in three groups. Objective:To study on the effects of gastrointestinal function and portal vein hemodynamics applicated with abdominal hot compressing with evodiae fructus and crude salt after hepatectomy.Methods:A total of 60 patients who underwent hepatectomy were randomly divided into 2 groups by random number table method, with 30 in each group. The control group was treated with conventional basic western medicine, while the treatment group was treated with medicinal evodiae fructus and crude salt hot compress on abdomen on the basis of the control group. The portal vein diameter (PVD), portal venous flow velocity (PVV), recovery time of main clinical indexes, clinical symptom scores and liver function indexes were dynamically monitored at different observation time points.Results:The scores of abdominal distension, nausea and vomiting in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group 3 days after treatment ( t values were -3.489 and -2.740, respectively, all Ps<0.05). The recovery time of bowel sounds, first exhaust time and first defecation time in the treatment group were significantly earlier than those in the control group ( t values were -3.622, -4.297 and -4.151, respectively, all Ps<0.01). With the extension of treatment time, ALT in 2 groups showed a gradual downward trend ( P<0.05 or P<0.01), DBIL in control group was significantly higher at 3 days after treatment than before ( t=-2.157, P=0.039), and TBIL was significantly lower at 7 days after treatment than before ( t=2.175, P=0.038). The PVD ( t values were 3.528, 2.160) and PVV ( t values were 11.096, 4.264) of the treatment group were significantly higher than those of the control group 3 and 5 days after treatment ( P<0.01 or P<0.05). Conclusion:Early application of abdominal hot compressing with evodiae fructus and crude salt hot compress on abdomen after hepatectomy can improve the portal vein blood circulation and promote the rehabilitation of gastrointestinal function in patients with hepatectomy.
10.Progress in the treatment of Neurofibromatosis type 2

Neurofibromatosis type 2 is an autosomal dominant inherited disease with a low incidence. It often involves the central and peripheral nervous systems, leading to bilateral hearing loss, balance difficulties, facial paralysis and other symptoms, which seriously affects the quality of life of patients. Therefore, in the treatment of neurofibromatosis type 2, preservation of facial nerve function is crucial. The diagnosis and treatment scheme should take into account the characteristics of the tumor and the patient′s wishes. Individualized programmes of multidisciplinary collaboration are needed.
