The frequency of peripheral lymphocyte subsets using monoclonal was studied in patients with viral myocarditis (MC). The percentage of T_8 positive cells was significantly lower in patients with MC of heart failure(MCHF) than that in patients with MC of arrhythmias and that in normal controls, whereas the T_4/T_8 ratio was significantly inereased in MCHF patients. At the same time, suppressive T cells (Ts) function in patients with MC was evaluated by shortlived assay. The Ts function was significantly reduced in MCHF patients, close correlation was found between the Ts function and the hemodynamic function in MCHF patients. Abnormal immunoreguiation may be of the important pathogenic factor in MCHF patients.

Objective To study on the measurement of glycyl-proline dipeptidyl aminopeptidase (GPDA) in urine and its clinical application. Methods GPDA in urine was measured by continuously monitoring method using substrate. The assay conditions and interference factors were investigated. GPDA activities in urine specimens from 334 healthy persons, 55 diabetes mellitus patients and 36 hypertension patients were measured. The differences between the kidney injured and non-kidney injured groups were analyzed. Results The linearity of the method was up to 350 U/L. The intra CV and inter CV were 1.27% and 1.33% respectively. The GPDA activity in urine specimen was stable for 7 days at 4℃. There was no interference of bilirubin, glucose, vitamins, dimethylbiguanide and gliben-clamide. No significant interference was found by hemoglobin less than 500 mg/L. GPDA level in urine specimens of 334 healthy persons were (12.9?4.2) U/g?Cr. The GPDA levels of diabetes mellitus and hypertension groups combined with kidney injured were obviously higher than that of the control group and the non-kidney injured group ( P

With light and electron microscope, we studied the morphology of the thymus of the neonatal mouse. The results showed: 1.the lobules of the thymus had not well developed and there was no distinct demarcation between the cortex and medulla; 2.a cyst composed of epithelial cells with microvilli or cilia might be frequently seen in the medulla; 3.occasionally small lymphocytes with some glycogen particles in their cytoplasm were observed; 4.only a few small-sized thymic corpusles existed in the medulla, The article also described the ultrastructure of the lymphocytes, epithelial reticular cells, macrophage, interdigitating cell and blood-thymus barrier in the thymus of the neonatal mouse.

Type 2 diabetes,a glucose and lipid metabolism disorder accompanied by chronic multiple organ damage, has become a huge threat to human health,α/β hydrolase domain-6 (ABHD6) regulates the insulin release negatively by hydrolyzing monoacylglycerol.Small molecule ABHD6 inhibitors have been proven to lower bloodglucose and regulates energy homeostasis, which is a potential candidate for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. This paper introduced the ABHD6 signaling pathway and its mechanism, then reviewed the progress of small molecule ABHD6 inhibitors with different structures in recent years, and analyzed the structure activity relationship.

Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1 (IDO1) is the rate-limiting enzyme which catalyses the metabolism of L-tryptophan(L-Trp) in the kynurenine pathway. It is overexpressed in many tumor cells and antigen presenting cells. This enzyme inhibits local immune response and supports tumor cells to evade immune surveillance by depleting L-Trp and producing kynurenine metabolites, thus,it is an important target for cancer immunotherapy. There are several IDO1 inhibitors with different scarfold under investigation, three of which have already entered clinical stage. The role of IDO1 in tumor immune tolerance and the research progress on IDO1 inhibitors in recent years are summarized in this paper.
