OBJECTIVES: Some emotional components, such as self-esteem, depression and anxiety, have been reported to be associated with paranoia in non-clinical population and schizophrenia patients. The aim of this study was to investigate the correlation between self-esteem and paranoia in healthy controls, in ultra-high risk for psychosis and schizophrenia patients. METHODS: 34 subjects with recent onset schizophrenia, 36 subjects with ultra-high risk for psychosis, and 44 healthy volunteers participated in this study. A detailed assessment was made of the paranoia, self-esteem, depression, and anxiety. RESULTS: In all three groups, there were a negative correlation between paranoia and self-esteem, and positive correlations between paranoia and depression and anxiety. In healthy control, lower self-esteem showed a trend to predict higher paranoia, and in ultra-high risk for psychosis, this trend tern on statistically significant level, and in recent onset schizophrenia group, this correlation was disappeared. CONCLUSION: The individual who have lower self-esteem showed higher paranoia tendency under delusional level, but after formation of persecutory delusion, the tendency was disappeared. This result supports the hypothesis that persecutory delusions are a defense against negative affective process.

Objective: To evaluate the effect and safety of molecular targeted therapy of apatinib mesylate combined with multiple antigen stimulatiing cellular therapy in treatment of osteosarcoma and soft tissue sarcoma. Methods:Six patients with sarcoma were collected by the failure of surgery, radiation and chemotherapy treatment or refusal surgery, radiation and chemotherapy, and at least one month from the last treatment of surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. All of the patients at least received three cycle MASCTTM . From Day 1,everyone were given Apatinib 500 mg,po,qd ,until the disease progression. To measure the patient’s quality of life depending on EORTC QLQ-C30,meanwhile,detecting the cellular immunity function and circulating tumor cells(CTCs) of patients before treatment and one month after 3 cycle MASCTTM . At last, monitoring the cellular immune responses by the Enzyme-linked immuno spot ( ELISPOT) assay. Results: All of the four patients completed the treatment of 3 cycle MASCTTM . Only one patient reduced apatinib from 500 mg to 250 mg because of palmar-plantar erythrodyses-thesia. The response rates of the four patients received MASCTTM and apatinib mesylate after treatment were 1 for complete response (CR),3 for partial response (PR). The life quality and cellular immunity function were improved in all of the patients. ELISPOT assay suggested that the majority of antigen peptides could induce specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes( CTLs) response. The Progression-Free-Survival ( PFS) of four patients received MASCTTM and apatinib mesylate was 7,6,9 and 4 months ,while the response rates of the two patients received apatinib mesylate were 1 for ( Stable disease) SD,one for ( Progression disease) PD. And PFS of the two patients were one month and two months. Conclusion:Combination of MASCTTM and apatinib mesylate is safe, effective and were good prospects for application.

In order to identify Peucedani Radix, Peucedani Decursivi Radix and their adulterants, the internal transcribed spacer 2 (ITS2) regions of Peucedani Radix, Peucedani Decursivi Radix and their adulterants were amplified and bidirectionally sequenced based on the Principles for Molecular Identification of Traditional Chinese Materia Medica Using DNA Barcoding, which has been promulgated by Chinese Pharmacopoeia Commission. Sequences were analyzed and assembled by Codon Code Aligner V3. 7.1. The relevant data were analyzed by MEGA 5. 0. Species identification analyses were performed by using the nearest distance methods and neighbor-joining (NJ) methods. The result showed that the ITS2 sequence lengths of Peucedani Radix were 229-230 bp and the average intra-specific genetic distances were 0.005. The ITS2 sequence lengths of Peucedani Decursivi Radix were 227 bp and the sequences contained no variation site. The average inter-specific K2P genetic distance of Peucedani Radix, Peucedani Decursivi Radix and their adulterants species were 0.044 and 0.065 respectively. The minimum inter-specific divergence is larger than the maximum intra-specific divergence of Peucedani Decursivi Radix. The nearest distance methods and NJ trees results indicated that Peucedani Radix, Peucedani Decursivi Radix and their adulterants species could be identification clearly. The ITS2 regions can stably and accurately distinguish Peucedani Radix, Peucedani Decursivi Radix and their adulterants.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the risk factors of pinhole infection in the fractured lower limbs after external fixation.
METHODSThe case-control study was designed. From May 2009 to May 2014, the clinical data of 272 patients with lower limb fracture treated by external fixation device were collected. All the patients were divided into two groups according to post-operative pinhole infection. There were 29 cases in the case group including 23 males and 6 females. The age of patients in case group ranged from 25 to 77 years old, with the average age of (53.41 ± 12.77) years old. There were 243 cases in control group including 217 males and 26 females. The age of patients in the control group ranged from 27 to 78 years old, with the average age of (48.71 ± 11.87) years old. There were nine risk factors observed in our study including age, gender, fixed time by external fixation device, diabetes, time in bed, smoking, operation condition of other parts in the body, infection condition of other parts in the body.
RESULTSThe results of univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences among age (χ² = 15.708, P < 0.001), fixed time by external fixation device (χ² = 11.940, P < 0.001), severity of the lower limb fracture (χ² =15.438, P < 0.001), diabetes (χ² = 8.519, P = 0.004) and time in bed (χ² = 7.165, P = 0.007) between case group and control group. The results of Logistic regression analysis showed that the risk factors of pinhole infection after fixed by external fixation device in the lower limb fracture were the advanced age (OR = 8.327, P < 0.001), fixed time by external fixation device (OR = 6.795, P < 0.001), diabetes (OR = 4.965, P = 0.001) and time in bed (OR = 4.864, P = 0.008).
CONCLUSIONThe advanced age, long fixed time, diabetes and long time in bed could increase the risk of pinhole infection after external fixation in the lower limbs with fracture.
