ObjectiveTo investigate the encountered life events in patients with tuberculosis within 1 year before the attack.MethodsThe encountered life events within 1 year before the attack were investigated in 85 patients with tuberculosis, the life event frequency (LEF) and life event intensity (LEI) were calculated respectively, and the life events were compared with those within 1 year in 55 healthy subjects.Results71 cases (83.5%) of the 85 patients with tuberculosis had encountered different life events within 1 year before the attack, which was significantly different from that in the control group (9 cases, 16.4%) (χ2=12.351,P<0.01 ). The LEF, negative LEF, average LEI, average negative LEI in the tuberculosis group before the attack were obviously higher than those in the control group (P<0.05～0.01), but there were no significant differences in the positive LEF and average positive LEI between the two groups (P>0.05).ConclusionThe encountered life events are closely correlated with primary tuberculosis, so more mental cares should be paid to the patients.

Objective To investigate the influencing factors on the nursing ability of caregivers who provide service for elderly Methods patients with cardiovascular disease in medical and nursing combination institutions. A total of 276 caregivers who provide service for elderly patients with cardiovascular disease in medical and nursing combination institutions in Beijing urban area were selected as research subjects using the judgment sampling method. The Chinese Caregiver Task Inventory, eHealth Results Literacy (eHL) Scale and Sense of Coherence (SOC) Scale were used to investigate the nursing ability, eHL and SOC. The scores of nursing ability, eHL and SOC of the caregivers were (28.3±6.1), (17.0±5.9) and (69.0±9.4), respectively. The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that caregivers who regarded the occupation as a career, had general or good subjective income, cared for disabled subjects, had a good basic knowledge of cardiovascular disease and qualified eHL had P P Conclusion relatively high nursing ability (all <0.01). The higher the SOC score, the higher the nursing ability ( <0.01). Occupational recognition, subjective income, master the basic knowledge of cardiovascular diseases, disability of nursing patients, eHL and SOC were factors affecting the nursing ability of caregivers who provide service for elderly patients with cardiovascular diseases in urban medical and nursing combination institutions.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of pravastatin on serum levels of CRP and TNF-? in patients with diabetic nephropathy and study its possible mechanism in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy. METHODS:28 patients with diabetic nephropathy were treated with provastatin plus routine therapy (trial group),another 28 patients with diabetic nephropathy were treated with routine therapy alone (control group). Objective To investigate the expression levels and the roles of IL-17 and IL-23 in children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae (MP) pneumonia. Methods One hundred and three children with pneumonia admitted to pediatric department from February to May in 2012 were divided into MP pneumonia group and non-MP pneumonia group according to the results of MP antibody tests. Meanwhile, 42 healthy children were chosen as normal controls. Serum levels of IL-17, IL-23 and MP antibodies were measured in all children. Immunoglobulin, C reactive protein, total white blood cell count and granulocyte count were detected in children with pneumonia. Results The serum levels of IL-17 and IL-23 were signiifcantly different among three groups (P<0.05). The children in MP pneumonia group had higher levels of IL-17 and IL-23 than those in non-MP pneumonia group (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, levels of IL-17 and IL-23 were higher in two pneumonia groups (P<0.05). There was no signiifcant difference in levels of IL-17 and IL-23 between pneumonia patients with normal and with abnormal levels of immunoglobulin (P>0.05), while IL-17 and IL-23 levels were both positively correlated with granulocyte count (P<0.05).Conclusion IL-17 and IL-23 may be involved in the immune response of MP pneumonia and may contribute to the clearance of pathogens.
