Objective To investigate the suppression effects of Tripotolide (TL) on the pancreatic cancer xenograft models and angiogenesis. Methods The growth suppression effect of TL on SW1990 was determined using cell count kit (CCK-8), apoptotic cells induced by TL were examined by morphology and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated nick end labeling (TUNEL) assay. The inhibitory effects of TL on the growth of tumor xenografts and tumor microvascular density (MVD) were investigated. ResultsTL inhibited the growth and proliferation of SW1990 cells in a concentration-dependent and time-dependent manner. The inhibition ratios of cells treated at 160 mg/ml TL for 24 h was 50. 6%, the apoptotic rate increased from 9.6% in the control group to 45.1% (P <0.01 ). The inhibition rate of cancer xenograft growth was 89.9% when TL was intratumorally injected at the dose of 0.5 mg/kg. The expression of VEGF in tumor tissue decreased while MVD also decreased from 36.25±8.64 to 9.87±3.34 (P <0.01 ). ConclusionsTL induced prominent growth inhibition and apoptosis in human pancreatic cancer cell lines. TL.can attenuate the growth of pancreatic caner xenografts through its effect on antiangiogenesis.

Objective To investigate the role of CC chemokine ligand 20 (CCL20) and CC chemokine receptor 6 (CCR6) in the pathogenesis of acute necrotizing pancreatitis (ANP). Methods 48 SD rats were randomly divided into two groups: control group and ANP group. The ANP model was induced by retrograde infusion of 4 % sodium taurocholate into the biliary and pancreatic duct in SD rats. The same amount of saline was injected in the control group. The rats were sacrificed at 1, 3, 6, 12 h, the serum amylase levels and the pathological score of the pancreas were measured. The expressions of CCL20 and CCR6 mRNA and protein in pancreas were detected by immunohistochemistry and semi-quantitative RT-PCR,respectively. Results The levels of serum amylase and the histological score of ANP group were significantly higher than those of control group (P ＜ 0.01 ). The expression of pancreatic CCL20 mRNA and protein was increased in a time-dependant manner ( P ＜ 0.05 ). The expression of pancreatic CCR6 mRNA at 6h was significantly higher than that of control group (0.88 ± 0.05 vs 0. 23 ± 0.09, P ＜ 0.01 ). The expression of pancreatic CCR6 mRNA at 12h was decreased when compared with that of 6h group, but it was still higher than that of control group (0.37 ± 0. 10 vs 0. 15 ± 0.07, P ＜ 0.05 ), the change of CCR6 protein was consistent with that of CCR6 mRNA. Conclusions CCL20 and CCR6 may play an important role in the pathogenesis of ANP.

Objective To observe the Lactulose Oral Solution's influence in PPH postoperative complications and patients′ satisfactory rate for constipation and to find more intervention measures for reducing the complications. Methods A hundred and twenty cases of hemorrhoids with constipation were randomly divided into the two groups: the experimental group, the control group in 60 cases in each group. All patients’ postoperative bleeding, anal edema, stool impaction and satisfaction were observed and compared within 30 days. Results In the control group, the postoperative bleeding’ cases were of 23, anal edema’s were of 20 and stool impaction‘s were of 8. The incidence was 38.3%, 33.3% and 13.3% severally. The satisfactory patients were of 49 and the degree of satisfaction was of 81.7%. In the experimental group, the postoperative bleeding’ cases were of 12, anal edema’s were of 8 and stool impaction's was of 1. The incidence was 20%, 13.3% and 1.7% respectively. The cases who were satisfactory were of 58 and the degree of satisfaction was 96.7%. The postoperative bleeding , anal edema , stool impaction and satisfaction were different statistically in the two groups above (P < 0.05). Conclusion It can reduce PPH postoperative complications and increase patients′satisfaction by using Lactulose Oral Solution in patients with constipation and it will have a certain clinical value if these patients take this oral solution routinely.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of Chinese medicinal recipe Psoriasis No.1 Formula in treating blood-heat type of psoriasis. Methods Eighty patients with blood-heat syndrome were randomly divided into trial group and control group,40 cases in each group. The trial group was given oral use of the decoction of Psoriasis No . 1 Formula (mainly composed of Radix Rehmanniae, Rhizoma Imperatae, Cortex Moutan,Rhizoma Smilacis Glabrae,Radix Glycyrrhizae,Flos Sophorae,Radix Arnebiae seu Lithospermi, Radix Paeoniae Rubra, Folium Isatidis, Periostracum Cicadae, Radix Scutellariae, and Radix Angelicae Sinensis). The control group was given Compound Qingdai Capsules orally. The treatment for the two groups covered 8 weeks. Psoriasis Area Severity Index(PASI)scores,and contents of interleukin-17(IL-17)and tumor necrosis alpha (TNF-α)were observed before and after treatment. And clinical efficacy and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups after treatment. Results (1) PASI scores of the two groups were significantly lowered after treatment(P < 0.01 compared with those before treatment),and the trial group had stronger effect on decreasing PASI scores than the control group(P<0.05).(2)The total effective rate of the trial group was 87.5％,higher than the control group(67.5％),but the difference was insignificant(P > 0.05). (3)After treatment , contents of IL-17 and TNF-α of the two groups were markedly decreased(P < 0.01 compared with those before treatment),but the difference was insignificant between the two groups(P > 0.05). (4)No severe adverse effect was found in the two groups during the treatment. Conclusion Chinese medicinal recipe Psoriasis No.1 Formula is effective and safe in treating blood-heat type of psoriasis, and its effect is superior to that of Compound Qingdai Capsules.

Objective To observe the clinical effect of thrombus removal of external hemorrhoid combined with procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoids(PPH) in the treatment of circumferential mixed hemorrhoid with incarceration.Methods A total of 118 cases of circumferential mixed hemorrhoid with incarceration were divided into two groups:experimental group of 60 cases was treated by thrombus removal combined with PPH;control group of 58 cases was treated by Milligan-Morgan.We observed the differences of postoperative visual analogue scale (VAS)score,edema,bleeding,residual skin tag,wound healing time,anal stenosis,fecal incontinence,anorectal manometry and satisfaction in the two groups.Results There was significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in postoperative edema,bleeding and residual skin tag(χ2=6.63,4.19,6.64,P<0.05),but postoperative anal stenosis and fecal incontinence weren′t statistically significant different(χ2=0.38,1.11,P>0.05).Postoperative VAS score,wound healing time,satisfaction,anal resting and anal maximal squeeze pressure between the two groups were all statistically different(P<0.01).Conclusion The operation of thrombus removal of external hemorrhoid combined with PPH can effectively reduce the postoperative complications and promote recovery.
