AIM The purpose is to study the effect of Di p Cl benzoyl linesinine on experimental arrhythmias. METHODS The models used were caused by aconitine, ouabain and CaCl 2 repectively. RESULTS Di p Cl benzoyl linesinine 5 mg?kg -1 could increase the threshold dose of ventricular ectopic(VE), ventricular tachyacardia(VT), ventricular fibrillation(VF) and cardiac arrest(CA) caused by aconitine in rats and that by ouabain in ginuea pigs; delay the onset time of arrhythmia and decrease the incidence of VE,VF and CA induced by CaCl 2 in rats. CONCLUSION Di p Cl benzoyl linesinine possesses extensive effects of antiarrhythmia on ventricle.

Objective The aim of the present study was to assess the changes of IGF-1,IGF-2,IGFBP-1 and IGFBP-3 in diabetes nephropathy, the relationships between IGFs,IGFBPs and ?_1-,?_2- microglobulin. Methods A total of 130 type-2 diabetic participants(male:52,female:78)aged 37~75 yeares in Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital were enrolled from Feb.2000 to May 2003.Serum IGF-1,IGF-2,IGF binding protein 1(IGFBP-1),IGFBP-3,creatinine(Cr),cholesterol,triglycerides,HDL,LDL,apolipoprotein B100(apoB100),apoA,HbA_1c,fasting and postprandial C-peptide,serum and urine ?_1-MG and ?_2-MG were measured.Patients were divided into clinical albuminuria(DN,n=24),microalbuminuria(MA,n=40),and normal(NOR,n=66)groups according sCr and urine Alb/Cr ratio. Results In multiple linear regression analysis, determinants of S ?_1-MG were IGF-2 、TC and age(r=0.492,P=0.0001);U ?_1-MG were IGF-2、age(r=0.307,P=0.007); S ?_2-MG were IGFBP-1、HDL and age(r=0.528,P=0.0001);U ?_2-MG were IGFBP-1、CP120 and age(r=0.407,P=0.0001);s-Cr were IGFBP-1、CP0 and age(r=0.499,P=0.0001)。Serum IGF-2 and IGFBP-1 were significantly increased in DN group[IGF-2:(889.48?65.94)?g/L vs (711.57?28.73)?g/L,P=0.03;IGFBP-1:(94.91?17.48)?g/L vs(54.81?5.04)?g/L,P=0.009].Conclusion Serum IGFBP-1 and IGF-2 are significantly increased in type 2 diabetes with nephropathy. The disorders of IGFs and lipid metabolism may contribute to the development of diabetic nephropathy.

The human immunodeficiency virus type 1(HIV-1)can interact with and exploit the host cellular machinery to replicate and propagate itself.Numerous studies have shown that the Mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)signal pathway can positively regulate the replication of HIV-1,but exactly how each MAPK pathway affects HIV-1 infection and replication is not understood. In this study,we used the Extracellular signal-regulated kinase(ERK)pathway inhibitor,PD98059,the Jun N-terminal kinase(JNK)pathway inhibitor,SP600125,and the p38 pathway inhibitor,SB203580,to investigate the roles of these pathways in HIV-1replication.We found that application of PD98059 results in a strong VSV-G pseudotyped HIV-1NL4-3 luciferase reporter virus and HIV-1NL4-3 virus inhibition activity. In addition,SB203580 and SP600125 also elicited marked VSV-G pseudotyped HIV-1NL4-3 luciferase reporter virus inhibition activity but no HIV-1NL4-3 virus inhibition activity. We also found that SB203580 and SP600125 can enhance the HIV-1 inhibition activity of PD98059when cells were treated with all three MAPK pathway inhibitors in combination. Finally,we show that HIV-1virus inhibition activity of the MAPK pathway inhibitors was the result of the negative regulation of HIV-1 LTR promoter activity.

OBJECTIVETo explore the clinical effects of minor bone anchors and palmaris longus tendon graft in treating chronic mallet fingers deformity.
METHODSFrom January 2008 to June 2013, 26 patients with chronic mallet fingers deformity were treated with minor bone anchors and palmaris longus tendon graft. There were 18 males and 8 females, aged from 18 to 52 years old with an average of (32.0±1.3) years. Among them, 8 cases caused by machine injury, 6 cases by fall injury, 6 cases by sprain from fight, 4 cases by tendon spontaneous rupture, 2 cases by knife trauma. There was no tendon attachment of extensor tendon check in 16 cases, and with 0.3 to 0.5 cm tendon attachment in 10 cases. All patients had the flexion deformity and the disability of dorsiflexion activity. During operation, the distal interphalangeal joint was fixed in 10° to 20° dorsiflexion by a Kirshner wire, the minor bone anchor was used to reconstruct the extensor tendon insertion, the palmaris longus tendon slice was transplanted the decayed area of extensor tendon insertion. Four weeks postoperatively, the Kirshner wire was removed and the plaster external fixation was used, and the patient began function exercises. Postoperative complications were observed and fingers functions were assessed according to Dargan standard.
RESULTSThe patients were followed up from 6 to 14 months with an average of (5.0±0.3) months. Wound superficial infection occurred in 2 cases, the skin pressure ulcer in 2 cases, joint activities disability in 1 case; these symptoms got improvement after symptomatic treatment. Traumatic arthritis occurred in 2 cases, 1 case was improved after treatment, and 1 case had chronic pain for a long time. No internal fixation loosening or breakage and tendon rupture were found. According to Dargan standard to evaluate the finger function, 17 cases got excellent results, 8 good, and 1 poor.
CONCLUSIONIt is an effective way to treat the chronic mallet finger deformity using minor bone anchors and palmaris longus tendon graft, and the method has advantages of reliable fixation, easy operation, satisfactory effect and less complication.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of comprehensive acupuncture therapy in treating tinnitus in elderly neurosensory deafness. Method Eighty elderly neurosensory deafness patients were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 40 cases in each group. The control group was intervened by oral administration of Mecobalamin tablets, and the treatment group was intervened by acupuncture plus acupoint injection plus auricular point sticking. The changes of tinnitus intensity after the treatment in the two groups were observed, the clinical efficacies were compared between the two groups, and the correlation between disease duration and therapeutic efficacy was also observed. Result The tinnitus degree was significantly changed after the treatment in both groups (P<0.01). The total effective rate was 83.3% in the treatment group, versus 57.1% in the control group. There was a significant difference in comparing the clinical efficacy between the two groups (P<0.05). In both groups, the clinical efficacy of the patients with a disease duration ≤3 years was significantly different from that of the patients with a disease duration > 3 years in the same groups (P <0.05). Conclusion Comprehensive acupuncture therapy is an effective method in improving tinnitus in elderly neurosensory deafness.
